December, 2021 To whom it may concern : On October the 1st of 2021 my husband and I had the pleasure of receiving Andrew Gillis and Karen Borozan to care for our estate for 3 months. They lived in a cottage on the property which consists of multiple old buildings, gardens and land in addition to assorted vehicles and farm machinery. Andy and Ren embraced with enthusiasm every single project we were up to and went from sanding the inside of a 16th century building to waxing and polishing its floor. The outside wooden furniture found a new youth in their hand and to tell you the truth : nothing stopped them at any moment. They caught up on everything ! Their work ethic and standard of care were impeccable and their help invaluable. Havane, our affectionate and happy dog, adopted them right away. The permanent smile and easy-going nature they share were a real plus. Our whole family really enjoyed having them around and felt blessed while away. We felt a real friendship take hold and are looking forward to receive them for another 3 months next year. We cannot recommend them highly enough. We have left today, feeling more relaxed than we have done for months. As we also live on acreage ourselves, looking After the farm animals and the vegetable garden was not difficult and was delightful. The chickens gave us fresh eggs every day and the garden provided herbs and greens for our breakfast. Communication was great. We spoke with Marjan and Hans a long time before our sit and then had regular messages back-and-forth in the weeks leading up to our House Sit. We enjoy dinner with Night before they travelled and would love to have had more time to chat with them. They are both very interesting people. The cottage was very cute and provided us with a warm comfortable place to live and the location is incredible. Beautiful scenery, not far from the beach. Lots of lovely little towns to visit through the day, what more could you want? Highly recommend this sit for someone who is looking for a beautiful relaxed Italian stay and who loves animals as we do.
Lucy, Ben and family are a great bunch, welcoming and easy to communicate with. Chili and Bear are gorgeous dogs, easy to look after, friendly and good fun. So funny when they sit and look at you to let you know it’s dinner time. Ella particularly loved having Bear on her bed every night. The village and local area is beautiful with lots of great walks. The house is old and quirky but came with lots of instructions. We really enjoyed the sit, would highly recommend to others and would definitely go back if the opportunity arose.
This was a delightful sit in a lovely location. It is a rural idyll. Pauline’s garden is beautiful and the evening scents are amazing. Pauline made us feel very welcome and provided us with an evening meal. Molly has a lovely character and enjoyed all our walks but equally enjoyed being with us. With walks straight from the door. We highly recommend this sit and hope to return.
Niko and Waldo are two wonderful dogs. Their owners have them well trained so they are easy to walk and a lot of fun to spend time with. They love to sit on the couch with you and lay on the bed. Their owners have created a comprehensive guide for sitters which has all you need to know to look after their dogs and the house. Talking of which, the house is spectacular. It has a great setup for using your laptop and another for watching TV, Plus it has a great views from the outside deck. I highly recommend this sit.
We absolutely loved hanging out with the Zeusmann for a few days. It was superhot, so we'd go walking early, with Zeus setting the (surprisingly quick!) pace and route. Though there were lots of dogs out walking their people in Crestview, it was easy enough to steer clear, so Zeus could relax and enjoy himself. It's a great neighborhood, with old shade trees and tolerant, relaxed residents. Zeus is something of a celebrity here, and we met the neighbor when he spotted us out with Zeus. During the day, Zeus mostly wanted to be where we were and would hang out near us, indoors or out. In the evenings, he loved playing fetch, resting in the grass in the backyard, and finally curling up to sleep in his own bed near our bed. He's a great sleeper and didn't get up until 7 or 8, when he was ready for his walk. We mostly stayed home—easy to do in Isabelle's lovely bungalow—with a few trips out to experience everything the neighborhood has to offer: a big municipal pool, tasty deli, classic roller rink, and more. Isabelle's got fabulous taste and the house reflects that, with wonderful art and furnishings and fixtures and rugs—everything works together so well. We loved every minute here. The back deck and patio, with the giant live oak that shades the whole house, made outdoors a great place to be, even in the 105+ heat in August. We were so comfortable and happy here with Zeus! So grateful to Isabelle for opening her home to our family this summer <3
Betty is such a cute girl. We loved spending time with her and cuddle a lot. She is a really easygoing dog who is enjoying your company. The communication with Zac was smooth and the house was beautiful and clean. I can definitely recommend the Houssiting!
