Maureen
We enjoyed very much taking care of VB and staying at Maureen’s beautiful house. VB is very cute, low maintenance and well behaved cat. She liked playing with the laser tag and omg, she looooves being pet. It took her some time to warm up to us, but very soon she was sitting on our lap and purring very loud. VB also loves going on the patio outside to chew on her favorite plant. And she always let us know when she wants yo go outside with quite loud meow. She never slept on the bed with us no matter how much we asked! We already miss VB a lot!

Maureen is a great person, very easy to communicate. First we had a zoom call with her where we introduced ourselves and she gave us a virtual tour of the house, and then we arrived the day before the stay began to meet her and VB in person and to get some extra details. She prepared very detailed and helpful document about the house, VB, and neighbors. Maureen is generous, nice, and funny human, we liked her very much.

The house was great, too! It’s located in Kingstowne area of Alexandria - very quite and nice neighborhood. I once saw a deer just next to the house! You can take a ~ 10 min bus from there to Van Dorn or Franconia-Springfield metro station (Blue line) to get to Washington DC. I also like to walk, and once I walked to the nearby plaza with TJ max and Safeway on it.

House have 3 levels and plenty of space. My fiancé and I were both working remotely while we were cat sitting VB, and we we’re comfortable to take work calls at the same time. In the mornings I had my cup of coffee on the patio together with VB.

It was so nice from Maureen to let us use her car. Which we did several times in order to get groceries and explore the surroundings.

Overall it was a great stay and we enjoyed it very much. Highly recommend everyone who wants get the best experience with the host and to pet the softest cat ever!

Emily
Our daughter had sat previously for Ozzie and thoroughly enjoyed it, so we knew we were onto a winner! Emily's communication beforehand was really helpful, as was the quick induction we had with her when we arrived for the sit. Ozzie quickly became used to us and was a delight to accompany for 10 days. The house is comfortable and is situated in a perfect location for walking and exploring the beauty of the Pennines. This was a first sit for us - how lucky were were!
