What a pleasure it was to take care of Maura’s home and dogs. We really enjoyed Tiny and Snowy. They are adorable and easy to take care of. Lovely personalities. The house is very spacious and comfortable and Maura and Donal were such hospitable hosts. We loved getting to know them. Maura showed us where to walk the dogs in nearby Hazelwood which has a stunning forest walk by Lough Gill. It was great to be able to take the dogs further afield down to Rosses Point and the beaches. They traveled well in their crate in the car. We highly recommend this sit, and this area of Sligo.
I had an amazing time with Lucca! Elaine’s home is comfortable and sunny. The location is a mile from the plaza area of Santa Fe, so very convenient and walkable. And Lucca is an absolute sweetheart. He’s very laid back, gentle, and a pleasure to hang out with. He likes to walk along the river and to the dog park, or just around the block, and the rest of the time just chills out. He enjoys treats and cuddles and taking nice long naps. Thank you, Elaine, for letting me spend time with your adorable Lucca!
Bec was an absolute delight to communicate with - they are so lovely, extremely caring and ensured I was very comfortable in their beautiful home. I adored Mickey,he is a gorgeous greyhound, loving and fun! Thank you Bec for trusting me with him and your home.
Dave and Lizzie were very welcoming, friendly hosts and their home is located in a pleasant suburb, close to the beach and all amenities. The instructions were detailed and Lizzie has made the feeding of the birds very easy, with daily portions of food. The birds were lovely to watch and listen to. Dave is very proud of his garden, rightly so. Peggy is a gorgeous dog, loving and loyal. A highlight of the sit was social interaction in the park when walking Peggy every morning, all the locals seemed to know her which made walking enjoyable-thanks are due to Dave for making introductions to the “regulars”.
I have enormous gratitude for the stay at Juliana's house! Bonded so well with Deco and Sprite. Both snuggled up to me when I watched movies, although Sprite was the one who was literally with his face on my lap with Deco right next to him. Taking them for walks in the bush or at the foreshore was a pleasure. They listened well. I got really thorough instructions from Juliana about everything to do with the house or her adorable dogs. I grew quite attached to them and would look after them anytime! The train station is quite close, and I enjoyed exploring Wellington Point. Victoria Point and Raby Bay areas. The house is a beautiful private-feel open plan with patio and it was a joy to sit out there with some sun and the dogs. If they barked at the neighbour's dog, I would just show a pillow and get silence. There's a good charity shop(opshop) nearby, and the Cleveland markets are tops. I thank Juliana for giving me this opportunity. I was astounded to hear that Deco and Sprite had travelled all the way from Brasil with them when the family migrated. Devoted to their dogs, this family. And I'm going to miss them following me around 😢
Janis’s home is spacious and extremely comfortable. Janis provided me with detailed information about her home and facilities and made me feel at ease. The house is situated in a quiet picturesque village but is not isolated as the village offers a regular train and bus service plus a well stocked village store. . My experience looking after Stanley was also very positive. Stanley is a big lovable, well behaved dog. He’s so friendly towards both humans and other dogs. He loves fetching balls , and always comes back when called. I wouldn’t hesitate to care for Stanley again and do miss him. Thank you Janis for not only allowing me to care for your super home in your absence but especially Stanley who is a very special dog.
