Where to start :) Henry and Lynda were both warm and communicative from the beginning! I went up a day early and we had a great evening together and a very detailed handover which makes life SO much easier. The star of this house however is gorgeous Ozzie! I had the BEST time with him and learning the different faces of Ozzie. He is affectionate and the best local guide you can ask for. I know the listing mentions needing a car but I had a great time with taking the bus (they're both online schedule wise and super easy to take). Ozzie came with me for a daytrip and he is sooooo well behaved and a people magnet. We went to a restaurant and he just sat by the table and behaved perfect! I could honestly go on for ages about how cute, sweet and well behaved he is but it wouldn't do him justice, you need to meet him to understand! Lastly, the house! It's so comfy and has everything you need + more. If you have the opportunity to use the jacuzzi, take it! I had the best time staying with Ozzie and walking around the area, if you have the opportunity, don't hesitate, I'd definitely go back in a heartbeat! I made my reservation with them for boarding in July of 2024 in NOVEMBER of 2023. I have 3 dogs that need to be kenneled together and it is VERY HARD to find a spot for all 3 of them without advance notice. In May I emailed them to confirm and they confirmed for July. Around July 1 I had heard some gossip they were closed and I called and was alarmed to hear an outgoing message saying they were temporarily closed but would be open "soon." I tried emailing multiple times and got NO RESPONSE. My vacation at this point could not be refunded and was thousands of dollars and the only vacation we could afford all year. I finally got a hold of somebody at the kennel via facebook who told me off record they were closed for not passing inspections, were doing renovations and they might be open a few days prior to my drop off date but I should "maybe" look for alternatives. What the HELL? Trying to find a place to board 3 dogs with less than two weeks notice was a nightmare. I was lucky to find a place and almost had to cancel my vacation and would have lost thousands of dollars. The place seems to be run by people who think nothing of telling people the day they're supposed to drop off their pets that the place is closed. It is incredibly greedy to not let us know they were closed when it happened in May to warn us so we could find an alternate place because they were hoping the kennel would be open in time to take our money. They said they felt confident they would re open but it's a good thing I made backup plans because they did NOT pass reinspection and open in time for our vacation. This is not a place I would feel safe leaving our pets due to this irresponsible, selfish behavior that shows they're all about money and don't care about their clients or the animals.
We had boarded with them before, booked a stay for my two dogs while we planned to be gone for over a week. We did this almost three months in advance. We found out they canceled on us, AFTER I tried calling to confirm a detail over and over for a week and couldn’t get them to answer or respond. I finally got a hold of a groomer who told me they were shut down for some unknown reason. I got this information ONLY 10 days before our trip. I had to scramble to get family to watch my dogs. They didn’t seem to care at all. They were more upset about their own “loss of work”. I would never use this place again, do not board your dogs here. They have no concern for their customers and did not even have the decency to call me to tell me what was going on. I still have no idea why they are not open. In the end I am glad to find out the type of boarding company they are before I left my precious pups there again, if they won’t tell me what is going on with ANY notice at all, what would they have done with my dogs while I was away? Not sure if they are new ownership Or something but don’t send your dogs here! You are warned.
Perfect place to board your dogs. Lots of play time and sometimes dogs get to mingle in the office area with the staff. Big play area and cozy boarding stalls with a small outdoor run attached. The staff is awesome and if you need any vacs for your pet they can do it right there.
My two dogs were here for 4 days we picked them up and they were both scratched up and one of their eyes was red and puffy. I would definitely never bring any of my animals here again. When we asked what happened all they said was I don’t know. They also smelt absolutely terrible when we got them. I would read these reviews and pay attention to all the bad ones. I’m sure all the good reviews on here are fake
We brought our dogs to be kenneled while we moved. Our dog was attacked by another dog. They admitted fault. Hesitated on getting our dog care and then wouldn't pay the vet bill after they said they would. Don't bring your pets here.
Very cheap but fantastic service. Way better then petsmart or other large companies. I take my dog their every time we cant bring him when were traveling.
I had a last minute situation of trying to find doggy daycare and Although I am thankful they could squeeze him in, this daycare was horrid. Smelled immediately going in, the workers had no motivation, had no customer service etiquette, and quite frankly I was lied to. I was told that play time started at 11 so the dogs could play. Keep in mind, I dropped my dog off at 10. Then when I went to pick him up at 2:30 they had not been let out so he was just kenneled the entire time. Would not recommend this place as it is absolutely the worst doggy daycare I’ve ever experienced. I was not expecting to keep my dog kenneled up the whole time. Also, these girls claimed that it was storming, which it didn’t. They also claimed the power went out. Lie after lie I was told. If I could give -1000 stars I would.
I cannot say enough good thing!! My family was displaced due to the fires and needed a safe place for our two babies. They took such great care of them and were very affordable. Highly recommend and will be bringing the pups again for play dates or vacation boarding!! Thank you for treating my babies like family.
Do NOT take your pets here for boarding. After we brought our dog home from a week long stay, he wasn’t his happy self. He was timid and quiet and seemed traumatized. He had two open winds on his nose. He wouldn’t eat that day he came home. His dog bed smelled of urine. Other reviews say that thier dogs smelled of urine went picked up. We had paid for bathing and when we said we were coming at 9am to get him we were told he wasn’t ready til 1 pm. They bathed him quickly so he didn’t smell. We called many times during the week to check up on him and they NEVER answered the phone. I can only assume my dog was mistreated and not well cared for even though we paid extra.
Staff seemed really interested in helping us with the proper care of our dog. The facility is old and "off the beaten trail" but it was reflected in the price. We really liked the staff!
Reagan took AMAZING care of our beaded dragon Toothless. We got regular updates and never had to worry! The best pet sitter in El Dorado County!

I am so thankful to Vickie at BOW -WOW PET SITTING!!! I am the kind of dog mom that puts my 2 boys Doug and Rusty (dachshunds) above myself. I set my house up so that THEY are happy and comfortable. I have a low bed,, doggie ramps everywhere and there are dog toys all over. I would say that they are a little spoiled ❤️🐾🐾❤️ I only trust a few people with my dogs. I recently moved to Fair Oaks. I searched online for pet sitting and called Vicky, the owner of Bow-Wow pet sitting and boarding. I asked many questions. I then looked at her reviews on Yelp and decided that I would give her a call back. She was able to take my dogs the next day. She was so great! My dogs were barking and have separation anxiety. I immediately felt comfortable with Vicky. She is very kind and obviously loves animals. Her house is set up perfectly - she can separate dogs if necessary but still see them, they are not locked away in a closed room. She had a big wonderful yard to play in. When I picked up my boys they were happy and not stressed. Now they WANT to go there! Even though I'm done moving I intend to to take them to Vicky's at least once a week because they love her and I don't take them in the car and leave them when running errands. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND VICKIE AND BOW -WOW PET SITTING!!! She is reasonably priced and very accommodating. ******************!!!!💕
I am appalled at the neglect and inhumane treatment of my dog. We left my dog Roxxy there for the weekend over 4th of July. We made sure they were aware she was a rescue dog with anxiety, and we were guaranteed that our dog would not be left alone during the fireworks. After we got our dog home, that night we realized her mouth was severally injured. Apparently, she had been left outside in a metal crate during fireworks while the owners of Bow Pow Pet sitting went to the liquor store, and tried to chew her way out causing the damage to her mouth. Multiple teeth had been broken off, her gums were destroyed and she had literally chewed so long and hard the bone of her jaw was damaged. We were never notified that our dog had been injured under their care, we had to wait to find out when we got her back, and with the extent of the injury being as bad as it was I have a hard time believing there were no signs of blood or injury when it happened. The surgery to fix my dog's mouth was over $3,500, which Bow Wow Pet sitting never even tried to repay. I felt the owners of Bow Wow pet sitting were unprofessional and down right negligent to have let this happen. To top it all off, after multiple complaints from us they still have pictures of my dog on their website, against my approval, to advertise their business. Usually I am not one to write angry online reviews but I feel strongly that they were negligent towards my dog.
My dogs were well taken care of in a family style environment. Both had individual needs and their needs were well taken care of. Was so pleased with the great care both dogs received! Recommend!

Stephanie is amazing! We really loved working with her and we know our pup loved the time with her & Marshmallow!!! She was always flexible for drop off and pick up times and our pup was spoiled with her, sleeping with her at night on her bed instead of her crate. Stephanie also worked on training our lil’ pup with better manners and we swear she’s a much better pup now than before. We would highly recommend her services and are so happy we found her. We’ll be her customers for life!!
We are so happy we found Happy Paws! Stephanie is a true dog lover! It is so comforting to know our dog is in such great hands when we need to leave town, or when we are working late and need someone to swing by to feed her dinner. We had an amazing experience with Happy Paws. We were gone for 10 days and Stephanie visited and took care of our cat daily and I know Alfie was one happy kitty for the company. Stephanie even sent us pics and videos to show us how well they were getting along. It was fun to see and very reassuring. When we returned, Alfie was very relaxed and happy to see us. In the past when we would leave him alone for a couple of days he would whine at us for a good hour, but not this time. I highly recommend Happy Paws and will definitely use them again in the future. 🥰
Stephanie is the best! She has watched our pup over several long weekends for us. She is a pure animal lover, I am never concerned about the well being of our dog while he is in her care. We plan to continue to use Stephanie for the foreseeable future.
Stephanie is an amazing human! My dog Jax has been afraid of humans for the longest time… Pretty much ever since I rescued him from Bradshaw Humane Society… Within two visits Stephanie was able to leash Jax by herself and he’s actually got to the point now where he will do the play Bow and give her kisses 🐕❤️🌈. If you ever need someone to assist with dog walks… Sleep overs… or take your pet to other appointments Happy Paws is the place! I seriously cannot recommend Camp Bow Wow enough for your pups. I recently went on vacation where I had to put my pup in daycare (first time ever doing that) and let me tell you - Watching my girl on camera and seeing how happy she is here warmed my heart and made missing her a little bit easier. The team was great about communication, organized and made sure everyone was safe and happy. It made going on my vacation so much less stressful knowing she was in good hands. I love how much space for the dogs you have. That there is an indoor & outdoor area for them. I love how well trained everyone is and that safety is a top concern! That there is a veterinary right next door puts a lot of ease to me mind. I really like you offer grooming, and one-on-one time for dogs as well! Also Luna, our dog, had a blast there!
Doggie Daycare & Boarding(Staycation) are highly recommended by our Sasuke & Sumo. The staffs are amazing & super friendly. Communication & response are phenomenal. They take care of our fur babies while we are away or out of town. I feel at peace that our babies are in wonderful hands & caring hearts.

Highly, highly recommend!! My fiancé & I have a little 6-month-old Yorkiepoo, Pepper, who needs full-day care 2 days/week -- I couldn't be happier with Camp Bow Wow! They were super communicative & kind from my 1st contact with them. Seth in particular is great -- he was very welcoming & knowledgeable when we brought Pepper in for her 1st interview day. He also remembers her name & talks to her so kindly every time we drop off & pick up. Prices are great, especially the packages. Some of them come out to being $33/day, which is miles cheaper than any dog sitter, & your pup gets to play all day with doggie friends! They offer cool add-on (still very affordable) enrichment programs that would be great for any pup -- snuggle time for nervous/cuddly ones, play time for high-energy ones, & a lot more! They also send you pics of enrichment if you choose to do one, which are way too cute (I added some of when Pepper did snuggle time!). I also love the cameras; I check in a few times a day & it helps me feel at ease to see Pepper sniffing around/napping/playing. It always warms my heart when I get to see a staff member in the play rooms too -- they are all gentle & kind, & give out tons of pets. Organized, efficient, clean, & caring. Couldn't ask for more! Friendly place. Folks here cared for my pooch for the day. The best thing I liked is on their app. You can monitor your dog via video cam. When a dog used the restroom, staff immediately cleaned the waste, then mopped the area. Staff was always present.
I’ve had my dog at daycare and boarding here. The counselors are attentive and interacts with the dogs in their care. Love that they have an outdoor and indoor area for dogs to go between, weather permitting. The webcam is a plus though a bit buggy in the app.
I really appreciated the time and details in testing dogs for camp. It is very thorough and gives a peace of mind. Plus the staff were amazing!
Camp Bow Wow in Fair Oaks is a warm and sefe place for our new rescue chihuahua mix. The staff is so friendly! Our dog loves going. He starts yelping with excitement as soon as we turn into the parking lot, and he is always greeted by his name. We highly recommend Camp Bow Wow for your pet daycare needs.

In response to being told you are you are libelling me: I think using a business that is meant to be caring for animals to cause upset and attempt intimidation by cyber stalking is very worrying, not the sort of person I would trust with a houseplant let alone a treasured family pet. I had no idea this review thing existed until it was pointed out that my name and where I live had been used here but you know all about me? If I had known and left you a duff review I would have been much more created and used a much funnier name like say Thomas McPoopscooper and given you more than a three word explanation of why you are so awful but I didn't because it wasn't me. I think you should stop lying now, no one cares about you or what you do until you draw attention to innocent people who want zero to do with you. I will be seeking legal advice.

Cindy is taking care of our 2 cats now for quite some time now. They love her and she sends us pictures and short videos every day. She’s taking great care of the cats and our house too. She is very thoughtful and thorough and trustworthy.
Our kitty knew Cindy when they first met; don't know how, but it was comforting from a pet mom/dad point of view. Previous care was reliance on friends/neighbors/family. Trust of your home and your pet to a sitter was very important in selecting the right person. We have used Cindy many times and are so grateful to have her as trusted sitter.
We had a great first experience with Cindy watching our big goofball dogs. Cindy took notes at our meet and greet. Plus her forms ask all the important questions to make sure your pets get the best care. Pics and videos showed how much our boys enjoyed Cindy's visits! We already have her booked for our next getaway.

I very highly recommend Debbie Meier for pet sitting. She provides much TLC for our spoiled cat Max when we travel. We get daily updates and photos of Max and do not worry about him or our home when Deb is sitting for us. This eliminates a lot of stress. Debbie worked as a vet assistant locally for years. She knows local veterinarians and pet hospitals. She is very knowledgeable with medications and special foods. Deb is trustworthy and dependable. Great with communication. Our cat is very well cared for when we are away.

My big boy Bengal, Dezi had a great time here. The facility was very nice and clean too. He got his own two room suite! The staff made him feel safe and loved and he wasn’t stressed when I picked him up. This was his first time away from home and I wasn’t sure how it would go. He will be coming back to visit again.
I have used Best Friends since 2002. All of my dogs have done great and I had a dog with some “issues” and she was handled well. There were never any problems after their visit at the “spa” as we referred to it. My two small dogs just returned from their spa visit and Max was on medication and he did great and our Gracie was happy too. Highly recommend!! 🐾🐾

We brought our Golden, Lola, here for the first time for a full grooming experience. She is terrified of loud noises--the girl who met us at check-in was extremely gentle with our dog, calming, and got her to settle down. We knew immediately that Lola was in good hands. They brought Lola out looking better than she ever has at any other grooming appointment--complete with a fresh bandana and bow. We loved our experience here!
First time with Best Friends over the Christmas holiday. She was pretty excited to go with the staff and seemed great when we picked up. We had a long delay on our return train ride and the staff was very understanding. I felt very comfortable with her accommodations and would definitely use them again next time we travel.

My cat, Jewel, is very shy and hides from strangers. However, when Rose gently called out to her, rather than run and hide, she remained inquisitive and let Rose pet her. It was then, I knew Jewel would be fine while I was gone. Rose sent me daily updates with pictures. Jewel was well cared for, and I will be using Rose for all my best sitting needs! Rose has been our go-to pet sitter for three years now. We have two large male house cats. Rose provides peace of mind while we are gone, in part because she posts us by text early each morning with a short report on that morning's visit and how the cats are. She also makes written notes on each visit and leaves them for us. She is careful and conscientious and very easy to work with. We have never had a problem with her service and recommend Always Available whole- heartedly.
Rose watched my two boxers for me. It was somewhat nerve wracking having a non family member watch my girls. But Rose is very professional and thorough. During the meet and greet my dogs seemed to settle fairly well with her presence too. She texts a picture and update every day. Would definitely use her again!
I recently used always available pet sitting for a long weekend away from my pet. Rose was fantastic. She was very thorough on what services I should expect & walked me through everything. I received photos of my kitty every day that I was gone & even came home to a very cute thank you card and notes from each day she visited with kitty. Excellent service. I will absolutely be working with Rose again. Highly recommend if you need to head out of town and can't bring your fur babies along for the trip.
Rose was amazing and easy to work with. We never tried pet sitting before so I would text her frequently but she was always so friendly and reassuring . She would send photos and updates. I recently had Rose watch my eight dogs (two large dogs and six small dogs) and my two cats. I was gone overnight and my pets are not used to this. However I am pleased to say that my pets have taken kindly to Rose and they were well taken care of when I was gone. Rose sent text pictures with each of her visits. Unfortunately she had to clean up after one of my dogs but the place was immaculate when I got home. I highly recommend rose for pet sitting and I plan on using her in the future.
We highly recommend Rose, Always Available Pet Sitting. Right from the beginning Rose was organized and business-like, taking note of the names of each pet, the amount of food, times of day to be fed, locations for food, treats, etc. Rose cared for our 4 dogs and cat for 9 days while we went on vacation. She did not hesitate to come an extra day when our flight was canceled last minute. Rose did a lot more than just feed our fur babies. She spent time playing with them as well as watching their behavior to make sure they got along and played together safely. (We have 3 large dogs and a small beagle.) She even called us to make sure we were comfortable with what she saw. She left notes from each day and also texted us notes and photos. It’s clear Rose loves animals and has experience with animal behavior. We felt so much more at ease on our vacation knowing Rose was watching our pets. We will be using Rose’s services again.
