Raffaella is a very kind, welcoming and straight forward host. She has a hands on approach which is great especially because there is many things to remember. She gave us a very detailed guide and explanation and was always available for chat. She made sure there was some cold drinks for us on arrival which was very thoughtful. She made sure we can get comfortable in our separate cottage first before giving us a tour and explanation. The cottage is modern and has everything you need, also the temperature inside was good even though outside it was cooking hot. The dogs are the sweetest creatures! We were lucky to have an addition to the pack which was Ruh (Raffaella’s daughter’s dog) it’s a beautiful and kind fluffy cuddle bear. Nena is a young and energetic cutie which (as Raffaella will tell you) destroys and eats EVERYTHING she finds so you have been warned 😄 Peppe is a big, beautiful and kind natured dog. They all wouldn’t hurt a fly but you know nobody would dare coming through the gates having those three bark. Radio comes by for dinner once in a while so you won’t see him much. The animals are very easy to care for and lovely to spend time with. The garden is quite big so it’s definitely not to be underestimated in the summer months but you get to enjoy the delicious herbs, veggies and fruits during the right season. Raffaella puts a lot of care and heart into her garden and veggies so make sure you take a good care of it too. The area is rather remote so you will need a car to move around but will be able to relax in a quiet garden full of shade. Overall we really enjoyed this experience, love Raffaella and already miss all the wonderful dogs! We will be back to visit for sure ☺️
What a stellar time we had in Curl Curl with Digger! Lewis & Nic we’re so lovely to house sit for and they made us feel very much at home. Their house is well fitted out and is located a short walk from Curl Curl beach, great shopping and lively parks. If you have the chance to house sit here you will feel as blessed as we did 🙏
Ian and Jan's place is a little gem located right in the center of things, yet quite peaceful and quiet. We had a lovely time meeting up for tea prior to the sit. They are both very kind and made sure all was clear and ready for me. The cats are a wonderful bunch, full of life and character. Loki is warm and very playful, he gets curious about things and enjoys attention. His sister Rolo has her girlie charms, you need to win her affection, she takes her time to know you and warms up. Lady Black is the main boss. Gorgeous, mature and highly independent. I had fun looking after all of them and would happily do it again 🌟
Emily, Andrew and Sophia are a lovely family who welcomed us into their home and made us feel very much ‘at home’. We had a couple of days handover time which meant we had plenty of time to familiarise ourselves and we were given all the information we needed regarding the house and animals. Kaya the gsd is an absolute sweetie who loves a little walk and lots of love. The guinea pigs were cute and not too shy if you are gentle with them , and the chickens gave us lots of fresh eggs! Communication was good whilst we were there which assured us that we could rely on them if needed ( we had a storm which had cut off electricity in the area, Emily promptly contacted us to make we were ok) . We had a very relaxing, sunny warm Xmas in Sax and would highly recommend this sit.
