What a wonderful experience,from the initial meeting to our departure.Debbie Roddy Sam and the lovely Chewy are fabulous hosts and little Chewie is a joy to walk.Contact was excellent and the beautiful house is wonderfully situated 30 seconds from the river ,which has a gorgeous walk,Duthie Park is 5 minutes walk,and the city center is 15/20 minutes.We had such a great time,can’t wait to return.
We had a wonderful stay at Waverton looking after Grace and Fern the beautiful loving labradors. Steve and Penny thank you for trusting us with your beautiful home and fabulous dogs. Great communication from the first message made for a great comfortable sit. The suggestion for walking the dogs at Watchtree was much appreciated and loved utilising this beautiful area . Hopefully we will catch up again soon and walk together with the dogs .
Joe and Nancy are top notch people and their animals reflect that. Yogi is so well mannered to the point of being gentlemanly. Twiggy is sweet, yet independent, delicate in build but sturdy in spirit. Dancing on her hind legs for a treat is an image that gets recorded in one’s heart. Regarding the home, I challenge you to find one better maintained and cared for. The mattress is excellent and Nancy even texted to ask if I preferred flannel or cotton sheets! The instructions left for sitters are explicit and make it easy to keep the dogs in their routine. And if you stray of course Yogi will gently remind you :) I haven’t mentioned that this is my second time sitting for Joe and Nancy. And wouldn’t hesitate to return again! The view is spectacular! Really, a perch overlooking fields, pond and mountains as far as the eye can see. Hawks soaring overhead and gorgeous sunsets! And a half hour to Saratoga Springs where you can take the waters and get a massage at Roosevelt Baths and Spa. A truly delightful sit in a country setting! One last word regarding communication. We always want things to go smoothly while sitting but life isn’t always like that. There were two situations that required input from the homeowners on this sit and Joe and Nancy responded immediately and with gracious support. Tried, tested, true! Like I said, top notch!
We had an absolutely amazing time house sitting for Jake and Anthony! Their home is beautiful and comfortable and Brody is the perfect companion. It's hard to imagine a better house sit honestly, we would come back in a heartbeat if we could!
We had a great time with Cow and Melon. Communication with Grace has been easy and both her and Guy have been very nice and welcoming. Cow is a sweet little dog, she would often come close to get cuddles and was generally very easy going. Melon is lovely, very energetic, and always ready to play. As mentioned in the listing, she is a big dog but still a puppy so be aware you'll need energy and strenght sometimes when she is in playing mood. Said so both of them have been happy to spend a lot of time on the sofa with us. We would be happy to sit for Grace again and definitely recommend this sit.
