They allowed us to travel worry free. We received pictures of them hanging out with our dogs. Cuddling and walking with them as well. Our dogs got regular walks and even some runs. Biljana is very kind. She even baked us welcome home cookies. Robert fixed our garage door opener for us. Ruby and Cosmo loved them and hope they come back.
I highly recommend this location to prospective housesitters. Burke and Corinne are friendly and generous hosts. They'd prepared a detailed Welcome Guide and took me on a virtual tour of their beautiful home prior to the sit. Our communication before and during the sit was always pleasant and informative. This is a spacious and comfortable house, located in the historic village of Westport, on the shores of the Upper Rideau Lake. As a cottage-country town, everyone here is relaxed and friendly. There are three cats in the house, but the only one who'll interact with you is Basil, the chatty, witty, and oh so cuddly Bengal. Basil's best friend is Rosie, the smartest, most energetic Border Collie I've had the pleasure to play with. Rosie is a master frisbee-catcher and professional soccer player; and her vocabulary is quite impressive. Basil and Rosie are both well-trained, and brilliantly funny. I am grateful to my hosts for giving me the opportunity to enjoy their furry kids, and would be more than happy to return. This is a top notch location. A++
A fabulous week in Stockbridge. Susie and her husband could not have been more accommodating if they tried. A welcome dinner, some essential groceries and perfect instructions for the house sit. Susie was happy for us to contact them at any time which, is very reassuring. The pets were easy to care for. A love of the outdoor life I would say is pretty key to make the most of the house sit. Regular checks on the sheep feeding them hay and chickens some grain when necessary, but is quite fun and easily done seemingly enjoying the company. The two delightful, very affectionate, fun loving dogs enjoyed their long country walks. The cat was typically the cautious one initially, but soon as he realised we were happy to give lots of fuss he became the best of friends. A great house sit overall, very relaxing and would certainly recommend it. There’s also time during the day to visit places if interest near by.
Had a wonderful time in Jane's lovely house looking after Lucky. Lucky was really easy to look after and super affectionate. Jane's house is so nice...it's in a great location not far from Hebden Bridge. It has the most fantastic garden and kitchen. Jane left really detailed notes on how to take care of Lucky and her house which made it a very comfortable stay. All in all, highly recommended!
Absolutely wonderful experience! The location was incredible and Alex came to pick me up from the airport which was so nice. The instructions were well written down which I referred to when needed. They are doing incredible things, and it was so nice to be part of that. At the time they had 5 cats, all needing different food and care, so it was a lot to handle and remember but was totally worth it. 2 of the cats, Kanelos and Katsu, were finding a new home and honestly I would have taken them if I could, so bear in mind this sit may result in you taking a cat home with you! The location was insane. So many beautiful spots on the doorstep. They live above a bakery and the people who run it are so lovely - they kept giving me free things! Alex and Amber were so nice too which made the sit even more enjoyable. They sent lots of recommendations and made sure I was happy etc! Would recommend this sit for sure and would do it again in a heartbeat. Thank you both for a wonderful experience!
We had a delightful week in the company of Leo and Natan. They are very special, curious and playful cats. We miss them already! Patricia and Patrick were wonderful hosts and great communicators throughout. They were very friendly, genuine and generous, even after our arrival to Berlin, they picked us up at the airport and prepared us dinner. They made sure we had everything we needed for our stay. The area is lovely, quiet and very close to the nature and public transport. Overall very much a wonderful stay. A chance not to miss if it comes your way!
We had a lovely time looking after Syd and Nipper. Syd was a bit standoffish at first but came round quickly. You just had to be gentle with her. They were both very loving and we throughly enjoyed their company. Our hosts Lillian and John were fantastic people. Lillian should get a Michilin star for her food. What an amazing cook. John was easy going and they were great company. We have made great friends and will definitely keep in touch. A great sit, this area if France is simply beautiful .
