Ali and Taylor were wonderful sitters for Bear and Charlotte! The kitties took to them immediately, and I knew they would be in great hands while I was gone! Ali was very communicative and asked several questions to be sure to keep them as close to their schedule as possible. She also sent wonderful photos and videos every day, and even left me a little present to come home to! I highly recommend!
I really enjoyed my time caring for Pitsie. She was very sweet (after a little bit of warming up) and cuddly. Christina was very communicative and helpful. The apartment was clean and comfortable. The apartment is close to a nice walking/biking path that I really enjoyed. Overall my time was pleasurable and I would be happy to help again.
Thanks so much to Eric and Janet for being such wonderful hosts. They collected us from the bus on arrival and assisted us get to a bus on departure. They are excellent communicators and very helpful with our travel plans. They gave us an excellent briefing on the dogs and the local scene. We met many of their friends, and their dogs, who made us feel very welcome. Hoggy and Alfie are both great dogs with huge personalities. We bonded quickly and really miss them now. Mollie (the cat) hardly noticed we were there! She came and went as cats do and slept a lot (she is quite old now). Janet and Eric live near many beaches and interesting places to visit. We loved swimming every day, and exploring the Orihuela Costa. We would highly recommend Eric and Janet as hosts to future house sitters.
Caring for Lewis and Orla in Fleur's beautiful home was an absolute pleasure. From the moment we arrived we knew that we would enjoy their company as they are extremely well-behaved dogs, with gentle natures, who love attention without being demanding. Daily visits to check on the friendly hens were great fun and other than the odd water refill they needed little attention. They loved to have a "chat" and rewarded us with a plentiful supply of eggs. Although nothing was expectef from us we did briefly check the cattle each day just for our own peace of mind. Our daily walks through the adjacent extensive woodland were a joy and we would finish off by taking the woodland path to the local village to sit in the shade and enjoy a coffee (with water on offer for the dogs). The local shops provide for all necessities and there is also a village pub and a restaurant or two. Fleur's home is peaceful, private and surrounded by countryside. Our large, light and airy en suite bedroom was extremely comfortable and although it was very easy to keep all areas clean and tidy Fleur's friendly housekeeping assistants ensure the house is maintained to an immaculate standard. We were lucky to carry out this sit during fair weather and took full advantage of the heated outdoor pool. We have no hesitation in highly recommending this house sit and would happily return.
Heike & Harold's home is fabulous! They are fabulous. They made us dinner the night before they traveled and it was such a pleasant way to get to know the kitties, house, and each other. Herr Lehmann & Tante Käthe are so sweet and have some minor health issues. They need meds which are really easy to give. Thanks to Heike & Harold's instructions we knew exactly what to look for to help the kitties stay happy and feeling well while they were gone. The house is lovely and has a spiral staircase which added to the charm. With 4 floors, there was always the perfect temperature somewhere in the house - sun or shade depending on what you wanted. Dieburg is a small town that has everything. We loved all the fabulous restaurants, strolling around town getting ice cream, and riding bikes to other nearby towns/cities. The cats like their mid-morning & afternoon naps, so we had plenty of time to explore. Heike & Harold created a fabulous welcome guide with info about everything, and there is a lot to see. We especially enjoyed riding their bikes to Darmstadt, taking a walking tour there, and swimming at the local forested lake "Prinz von Hessen". We had a rental car, but I think we would have been fine without just taking the bikes and nearby train. We had such a pleasant 3 weeks in Dieburg. Heike & Harold know their kitties so well and are the best parents. We are happy to have met them!
