What a great sit! Christina welcomed us with a homecooked meal and made sure we have everything we needed incl. our own room, closet and bathroom, space in the fridge, amazing coffee and bikes to get around. Her home is a beautiful renovated, clean and organized house in a cute neighborhood only minutes away from the Vinoy Park and downtown. It´s so close to everything that we barely moved our car during our stay. Daisy, Yoshi and Michu all have their own distinctive character but you will fell in love with every single one of them. Walking all three with their trolley in the neighborhood takes some practice but it was so much fun. We always made someone smile on our walks. It was our first time sitting an Egyptian Mau. Michu is definitely not a cat like any other cat. He is an early bird and has his own language. Michu was always waiting for us to walk him and even sat down on his chair to join us for dinner sometimes. Daisy and Yoshi are very cute and affectionate as well. They slept most of the day and were easygoing. They had some troubles with allergies during our stay (because of all the pollen). So we had to give them some meds with their food which was super easy. All three get along so well. Daisy and Michu love to chase squirrels together and Yoshi and Michu play together and give each other kisses or lick each other's ear. It´s adorable! If you get the chance to sit for Christina, don´t hesitate! Christina is a great host with a beautiful home in one of the best neighboorhoods in St. Pete and you get to sit some adorable pets with which you will fell in love with!
It's hard for me to convey how amazing this experience was. Shannon and Gabriella have a office that looks straight at the mountains on the second floor. So the workspace is the best I've ever seen. The countryside surrounding their house is idyllic and beautiful. Rio and joe, the dogs, are playful, well-behaved, and fun and fantastic to be with. There's a fireplace, a record player, and a giant bookshelf full of all the old books you could want to peruse. I really came alive here! I loved house sitting for Shannon and Gabriella and I would do it again in a heartbeat.
We absolutely LOVED staying at Gayle's house and we had such a beautiful time looking after Cobalt and Peanut. The neighborhood is really quiet, we had amazing nights of sleep, woke up to beautiful bird sound and our overall experience was excellent. It's a 15min drive to Glastonbury and it's easy to get around in the neighborhood. The neighbors were also really kind. Gayle & Nigel communicated clearly with us, Nigel explained everything thoroughly when we arrived and Gayle even brought us gifts when they returned. Cobalt and Peanut are absolute angels and we would recommend taking care of them to every pet sitter!
Mary is an excellent host. Her home is beautiful and Mystic and Rumi are so very sweet. Eventually liked being held in upside-down superman position. Highly recommend a stay with them.
I really enjoyed sitting for Ann. She was very thorough and complete with her instructions and expectations. Nice, well kept, quiet home and Alexander is pretty self-sufficient and easy to care for. I couldn't keep up with eating all the delicious tomatoes in her garden though! I would definitely sit for Ann again.
Margaret and Nigel were the best of hosts (and Margaret´s cooking is fabulous), her Tartiflette was to die for. Communication was great and the house was clean, tidy, all on one level, and surrounded by beautiful grounds and plants. Sitters would need a car though. Belle, the elderly Whippet, climbs out of bed for company, biscuits, and cuddles; but is mostly happy under the duvet. She is such a sweetheart. Then there are two bed monsters! Now, I am not a morning person (fortunately my husband is); but THE BED MONSTERS have completely converted me. Bed monsters arrived each day with my morning tea; ears cleaned, nose washed (mine, not theirs), long, cold, wet, Ditto whippet nose licking feet and finding spaces in between PJs. 5 minutes of total ´I love you´ mayhem, and then they snuggle down with you as a sandwich filling whilst you enjoy your tea. Loved, loved, this sit. If you don’t want walking distance shops, bars and stuff, but just want mega doggy love in the country (and a swimming pool) then you will not be disappointed. Pop up to the top of their land and get your ´daily bread´ croissant, pain au chocalat from Antonio´s bread van. I almost forgot to mention that the area is great, within easy drives of Cartagena, Mazarron and beaches Thank you for trusting us with your gang and your home – we all had a ball. This morning, back at home, did not start quite the same. We will miss them enormously.
