We had a amazing time with Pete and Banks. They are relaxed dogs and very well trained. We took them out to the Santa Fe plaza - only a 10 min walk from the house - and they won't pull the leash at all. They also loved to hike with us and there are many places only a few minutes drive. Having them of leash on the trail was easy, they stay close and are nice to other dogs and people. We also enjoyed staying in the house for four nights. There kitchen is great and the livingroom invites you to read. We loved every bit of this housesit, thank you Katie for your trust in us. It was very nice meeting you and we hope to see you and your lovely family again.
Anna and Ryan have a lovely, welcoming home nestled in an amazing garden, within a small hamlet with a river running through it. There is an abundance of walks direct from the doorstep or just a short drive away, including the New Forest, Winchester, Stockbridge to name but a few. Anna and Ryan provided us with plenty of information around the running of the house that contained plenty of contact numbers should you encounter any issues during your housesit. They gave us details of walking routes, places to visit and avoid when going out to eat and drink locally. The routines of Willow and Matilda were easy to follow and there were no hidden surprises. All the information was of interest and very useful while settling in. Willow is a beautiful, young, timid dog. She is very loving and easy to look after. She knows her routine very well and will let you know which way she normally walks if you decide to go ‘off route’, when she needs feeding and even drops a subtle hint when she’s ready for bed. We did not let Willow off the lead as her recall and prey behaviour is alive and kicking, she will be off like a shot given half the chance but she walks excellently on the lead. She is more than happy in any environment , enjoys watching the world going by from underneath coffee shop tables and takes life at her own pace. We didn’t leave her alone during our stay, due to her separation anxiety but she is excellent company so having her with us all the time did not cause any issues. She has a celebrity status in Whitchurch and the surrounding area , regularly being recognised and thoroughly enjoys the attention she attracts. Matilda is a lovely, aging cat who does her own thing, she is more than happy mooching around the house, lazing in the sun on top of the BBQ and loves being stroked and the odd treat. Matilda and Willow have a love hate relationship. Willow is more playful than aging Matilda likes and you sometimes have to come to Matilda’s rescue. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would recommend this house sit, animals and area to anyone who enjoys some peace and quiet, lots of walking with the occasional piece of cake.
Beautiful home with relaxing garden and the sweetest pups! Dani was easy to communicate with and they left me snacks and wine in Napa fashion. I even got to catch a show in Napa with wine tasting walking distance from the house! I would definitely sit for them again!
Molly and Joey were super easy to care for doggies! Joey doesn’t know a stranger and Molly loves to snuggle with you! The homeowner was great with communication and left amazing instructions!
We enjoyed this sit immensely. The animals and location are gorgeous. Kenneth and his wife will make sure you have everything you need and more. They are very appreciative of anyone caring for their animals. I liked being on the old railway line and enjoyed the local nature. It’s a lovely house with everything you need for an enjoyable time.
It was a privilege to stay at Maisie's beautiful home with the very sweet, well-behaved and entertaining Oliver. You couldn't ask for a better location. The light-filled home has stunning views, beautiful decor, and is comfortable, clean and walking distance to shops and restaurants. It is supplied with everything you could possibly need and is in a great neighborhood. Oliver is easy-going, sweet, well behaved and ever-entertaining at the beach as he entices all the dogs to join him in a game of high-speed chase. I'm going to miss him. Maisie is also very sweet and communicative. If you're lucky enough to have an opportunity to housesit for Maisie--grab it! You'll be very pleased.
