Our two dogs loved Anna and so did we. She travelled from the USA so we allowed some wiggle room at either end of the sit, and Anna arrived the day before our departure. Our communication had all been by email and messaging due to our commitments. The dogs were comfortable from the minute she came in the door, and they were ecstatic to be allowed on her bed (as we allow them on ours!! but optionalfor sitters!!). We invited Anna to stay on a few days at the end of the sit as her flight was later in the week we enjoyed her company, and she was a very easy person to have around. House and dogs, including our elderly dog who is on assorted meds, had been in great hands and we would recommend Anna as a very capable, thoughtful and caring dog/housesitter.
We had a great time sitting Donnas pets and house. Looking after so many different animals was exciting and there were all super sweet. Bear and Ellie needed a day or two to fully warm up to us, but then the bear hugs kept coming and we loved every minute of it. They were great on the leash and Donna was always available for a quick response if we did have any questions. We are so excited to see all the animals again soon. Thanks Donna! Ryan and Tami
We were more than 2 weeks in Quinta da Perdiz... those were extraordinary days! Domino, Addy and Ginna, are very loving, obedient and very independent, We took them for a walk twice a day through the woods and they behaved very well. Joe is a very affectionate cat, he loves to be with him and to be pampered. The Rolos, it was very easy to take care of them. Anitta and Pieter are extraordinary people! very attentive to us, they trusted us with their animals, house and car. very grateful to them and delighted with the animals. we already miss you! A pleasure to meet each of them. We hope to return one day even if it is to say hello. Greetings Romina and Gastón.
I loved looking after Clark and Charlie at Ciera and Sam’s beautiful home. They are such special and well loved cats and the apartment complex is really secure. The enclosed parking was a great plus point and it’s a great location to explore the city. I will really miss these two furry guys and their unique ways! We had a blast!!
Katrina and Caro are the best! They were clear communicators, gracious hosts and super intentional and thoughtful about sharing their space with us. Katrina and Caro have taken great care in creating a beautiful home, and property with sweet outdoor spaces, views of the water and comfortable atmosphere. Oatmeal is the absolute sweetest creature. She's snuggly, playful and easy-going. We had fun walking with Oatmeal on the nearby trails, playing catch in the yard (leashed) and even paddle boarded together. We loved house sitting for Katrina and Caro and highly recommend it for others.
It was such a blast looking after Tina for a few days! She is such a cute little lady and she was a joy to hang out with. She was very good about letting me know when she needed to go out and we had some good fun on our walks. Other than Tina, Allysa was an amazing communicator and has a very chill/cool vibe about her. Her apartment is also super cool! It's in a great area of Bushwick and is pretty close to the L line which can take you anywhere you need to go. I'm super glad I did this sit! Thank you, Tina and Allysa :)
Silas provided a detailed welcome guide on the home, the area, and Lady. Expectations were super clear and easy to follow. The home is clean and bright— a good place to work remotely. The location is safe & convenient to grocery stores, parks & the VRE train into DC. Lady has an automatic water & dry food setup so she only needs one can of wet food per day from sitters. Her litter area is tidy and easy to clean in the basement. We slept comfortably & never ran into any issues at all with the house. Lady greeted us immediately, rolling over on the rug to reveal her belly. She enjoys frequent stretching on the carpet, looking out the glass door, walking on laptops, treats, and joining you on the couch. She rubbed herself on our legs as much as she could and sought out attention frequently. She’s very vocal, more than many other cats we’ve met, and has a high voice that’s very cute. Sometimes you have to try to figure out what she’s needing because her vocalizations & eye contact cues aren’t always the textbook cat communications. She enjoys petting & cuddling when she asks. When she’s done, she’s done. Lady chose to mostly sleep in the basement or on the living room couch. She had a little bit of defensive nervousness if she was cornered in a small area by surprise like in the narrow hallway exiting the kitchen. Never any aggression but occasionally she would lower her ears or hiss if she felt scared when she first met us. We gave her plenty of space & she’d soon seek us out again with careful curiosity. By our last day of the sit, she got on our laps whenever we were working at the dining room table. When she saw our suitcase all packed up, she began meowing like crazy. I think she was sad to see us leave. Lady is a very charming & beautiful cat. We highly recommend this sit to other cat lovers!
