I stayed at Nicola's place for five nights, and had a wonderful time. The best bit was Reuben, Nikki's lovely Ragdoll cat, closely followed one morning by seeing a fox asleep in the middle of her lawn. I couldn't believe my eyes! Reuben is very easy to care for. He is gentle natured, quiet, friendly but undemanding. He just needs feeding and watering twice a day (morning and evening) and his litter tray cleaning, which was very easy with the good quality clumping litter Nicola has. After the first day Reuben would come running up to great me when I got home, and he'd roll over to have his tummy stroked. He loves having his coat brushed! The flat itself has everything you need - comfortable lounge and quiet bedroom with comfy bed - I slept very well. It's also very well located - a five minute walk down to the beach and less up to the main road into Brighton that has a constant stream of busses. Nicola's road is right opposite George Street (a little shopping area in Hove) and the main road into Brighton also has lots of restaurants, pubs and coffee shops. There is a huge Tesco's so you can easily get anything you need. I loved walking into Brighton along the beach, which took me about 30 minutes at a relaxed pace. Communications with Nicola were great. She is very approachable and helpful, and was always on hand when I needed some advice on something. I fully recommend this pet-sit. You will have a great time. I'm very much hoping I'll be able to come again! :-)
This was a fantastic sit, not only were they delightful pets but we also spent time in an amazing country house located in its own 70 acres, so there were no shortage of fantastic walks. Caroline made us feel very welcome from the very first point of contact with great communication along with a first class “Welcome Pack”. On the day of our arrival she took the time and effort to show us around and explain everything we needed to know about her wonderful house and delightful pets, but also took us out for a walk with Tufa and Isla, allowing them the opportunity to get accustomed to us prior to Caroline leaving for her holiday. Tufa and Isla are adorable and they were fantastic company, happy to enjoy long walks in the amazing grounds of this country house. They are very friendly loving dogs always happy to spend time with us in the evening cuddled by us. The chickens could not have been any easier to look after, just needed to make sure that they were fed and watered and then they rewarded us with some tasty free range eggs. If you are looking for an amazing country house with adorable pets then this is a house sit not to be missed, Jackie and I have absolutely loved our time here and would highly recommended Caroline to any other potential sitters. We hope to see you all again in the future.
