We both really enjoyed our stay in Laura’s lovely, spacious and very well organised home. Laura and her family, along with Murphy and LuLu, were very welcoming to us and made us feel comfortable and at home right away. Laura was very kind in leaving some home baked goodies and letting us avail ourselves of the offerings of the chooks. Murphy and Lulu were perfect and very easy and well-behaved dogs to look after. Murphy is a beautiful dog with a generous soul and takes his role of chicken protector quite seriously. He loved a bit of playing tag in the garden and was very well behaved on the lead when I took him for a walk up the road. Lulu is a sweetie and loves nothing better than hanging with you and lapping up lots of pats and snuggles. The chickens were amusing to watch, from the handsome French cock strutting around to the young pullets learning the ropes – and then there were the eggs! They made the best omelettes I have had in a long while. Bundaberg and Bargara are both a 7 minute drive away. Bargara is a very pretty little beachside hamlet with some nice coffee shops and lovely walks along the beach front. For seafood lovers, Bundaberg offers a couple of good spots for buying seafood or eating out in the seafood restaurant by the river. A very enjoyable stay and I would highly recommend this as a future sit.
