Ginger had a very nice, well kept, apartment. The neighborhood was beautiful. Nice old homes and not too hilly, but not totally flat, made for enjoyable walks with Boo. At the end of her block there is a street with lots of good food options. But it's not loud from the apartment. We came across one interesting character on our Sunday morning walk. He was wearing one sock and no shoes and paused staring at nothing for a good minute while we were approaching. Just after we passed him we saw a hypodermic needle on the ground. We saw two others on that walk. We hadn't seen any on our other walks. Perhaps more illicit partying happens on Saturday night? At no point did we feel unsafe. Beanie greeted us with affection. But that seems to be because we got there at feeding time. She was mostly aloof thereafter. In other words, she's a cat :). Boo was initially apprehensive, but after a couple hours was up for a walk and then good with us. He was calm and gentle.
Renee and Scott’s home is beautiful and inspiring. The sailing and ocean theme made us feel happy and the adventure and motivational sayings inspired us. Renee and Scott are such kind hosts who went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. Their home has everything you need and Renee is a great cook with a well-appointed kitchen. For company, you’ll have Miss Daisy who is a sweet old lady and Fin, her younger full-of-energy sidekick who has the run of the large yard and runs circles around the chatty squirrel in the big tree. He loves his humans and is always very excited to see you and loves cuddles. Daisy is older and loves her beauty sleep but also likes cuddles and will let you know when she needs more water and attention. Their house is in a beautiful neighbourhood and close to beaches and anything you need during your stay. We biked to the Publix down the street from the house quite a few times during our stay. Thank you, Renee and Scott for sharing your home with us and helping us explore your neck of the woods—we are so blessed to have met you and our sail-around-the-world dream has been fed because of you.

I thoroughly enjoyed my time sitting with Gwen, she was a sweet kitty, independent but cuddling. Liz and Luke’s home was perfect. While there it rained every day and I didn’t get out as much I had wanted to. Hanging out with Gwen in their cozy home was a delight. I highly recommend this sit, I would definitely come back and do it again.

I stayed here for 3 weeks and I highly recommend everything about this housesit. Their home is gorgeous with so many creative touches and a beautiful garden and many plants. Genna and Kiera are easy going, open, communicative, and thoughtful. The animals Pono and Lily are precious and easy to care for. Pono loves to be brushed and have his cheeks stroked softly. Lily loves walks, your attention, and treats. She is crazy for treats, she would eat all day if she could :) And Olympia is a sweet town, lots of things to do and parks and water ways to explore. It was so hard to leave, I felt at home in all ways, and will miss these fur babies. Absolute magic. Thank you!
