We really loved looking after Tully.... She is a very sweet and gentle natured dog! We had some great walks, exploring Somerset. Vicki & Tim were wonderful, and gave us everything we needed for an enjoyable sit. Their house and garden are perfectly located in the centre of Castle Cary. It is a really cute, friendly and peaceful English village that has a weekly local Farmers market, a wonderful deli, butchers and a great selection of lovely little shops... We can highly recommend this house sit!

Carol
We thoroughly enjoyed our time in Carol’s comfortable home. Carol is warm and welcoming (even providing us with dinner upon our arrival...and brownies to last a week!). Chloe is the sweetest dog. She is just happy to be in your company. She is obedient and loves her snuggles and back scratches. Chloe is very well known in the Fountain Hills community and she is always attracting other dog owners who want to give her a pet or a treat!
The Fountain Hills community is extremely friendly and we truly enjoyed our daily walks around the lake, meeting up with the regular dog walkers (including 92 yr old Phil who arrives every morning at 7am to shower the dogs with affection and treats).
We look forward to returning for our 2nd sitting opportunity next week, and can’t wait to see Carol & Chloe again, and reunite with the friends we made in the community.
We highly recommend this sit.

Kate and Steve are a wonderful, friendly couple who have restored / created a beautiful home and a very large rear yard.
Literally putting a damper on everything was the wettest May (plus 2 hailstorms) in history (5 sunny days out of 30) making the exploration beyond this very small village with no public transportation (a tasty bakery, bar, small grocery store, chemist and a cemetery). I was looking forward to some afternoon hikes; the surroundings are quite beautiful, that never happened.
I suggest that this is a sit for a couple who have a car (especially for a prolonged sit). I found the dozen plus ex-pat "neighbors" I met (except for dear Fiona) unwelcoming to the point of rude.
I believe all dogs should be trained to walk properly, especially larger dogs. Often being relegated to the yard, I did try to get the dogs to local fields for exercise when possible.
Rosie is a handful, never more than a foot away and wanting constant attention and being jealous when I gave time to the other pets. Ruby is sweet and gentle, more the loner. Remy (cat) is a joy and let you know his needs with his "twilling" sound. Using my peace-making skills, there were many nights in front of the TV the four of us cuddled on the sofa.
I was excited for (even studying French for 5 months prior) and had a different experience in mind for this sit. In the end, though I hope the home and pets were considered well cared-for, I felt unprepared and overwhelmed by the realities of the circumstances.

Enjoying a weekend with Minchy and Mickey was a pleasure.
Denise and Darren are lovely people.
The house is warm and comfortable with everything you could need.
The location is just 10 min to Romford station.
A perfect stay for my last weekend with THS, this year!

Thank you very much, Denise. You were amazing and your girls are so sweet!

I highly recommend this house sitter.

Sheralee
Enjoyable sit! Sheralee is a thorough communicator so it was easy to care for her home and cats. Buddy, Max and GG are very sweet. Max likes play time, more so after a meal (keeps him from searching for it from Buddy and GG who are not so receptive to play with him). Sheralee's home is located in a nice area of town, with close proximity to numerous stores for one's needs or wants. Thank you Sheralee for entrusting me with the care of your home and cats!

My daughter and I had a blast sitting for Samira and Loki. Loki is a lot of fun and so funny… he’s also gorgeous and you want to pet him all the time… but of course only on his terms 😁

We loved our time here and would love to sit again if needed.

Xoxo thank you
