Paul
Paul was so welcoming and friendly that by the time he had shown me around and we had shared several cups of tea I not only felt at ease taking care of his gorgeous home but also felt I had made a friend.
Paul's home is lovely, comfortable and surrounded by breathtaking countryside and beaches. Phyllis the cat was easy to look after is a character that made me laugh during my stay.
I would very happily go back to HoundDean House anytime Paul needed me.

My daughter and I enjoyed our time in Oxshott, looking after Tattie, Barnie, Jumbo and Mougins.

Great communication from Gilly, we felt welcomed when we arrived at the house. Thank you for being so accommodating on the leave day! And your patience with our car situation.

The dogs were great company, easy to walk and look after. My daughter adored them and the cuddles!

The area is great, with lots of walking local. Plus easy to get into London if needed!

A lovely house-sit which I highly recommend.

We loved our time house and pet sitting for MJ! Jelly was the perfect cuddly companion - he’s such a little character. Even though we never met MJ we had great communication from her and she made us feel right at home in beautiful Newport. The house was super close to all the essentials and had a great view right on the doorstep. We had a great time here and miss little Jelly! Thanks MJ 😊

I enjoyed meeting Paige, Tony and their daughter before they headed out to the beach. Rambeau and Marley were adorable and fun to sit with; very laid back and lovable. I liked that they had a fenced in area in the backyard with lawn chairs for me to hang out and watch them. Marley will always be up for fetch, catch or any other form of play while Rambeau is content to sniff around the yard. They will both let you know when they are ready to go outside by standing by the door. I enjoyed walking them on a leash around the property as well.

I loved the open concept of the kitchen/living room area- lots of natural light and very enjoyable to hang out in. The couch is very comfy and more than big enough for both pups to join you if you want to cuddle.

This was my first time in Dripping Springs and I was impressed with how many things there are to do. I enjoyed going to some of the boutique and gift shops on Mercer street and visiting the Deep Eddy Distillery where I picked up some Sweet Tea Vodka as a gift for a friend and a tshirt shirt for myself. I also spent an afternoon at the Suds Monkey Brewery where they had a band playing to acknowledge Flag Day and the military (Red, White, and Blues theme) which I really appreciated. I enjoyed some wings and brought back some award winning IPA as a gift for a beer loving family member. There are numerous breweries very close to the house. I don’t drink and still enjoyed myself!

There are also many outdoor things to do- Hamilton Pool Preserve, Perdernales Falls State Park, Reimer’s, and Westcave Preserve… I will definitely need to come back to do all the things I didn’t have time to!

Vivianne
At first, we were intimidated by the farm, and the animals that need to be taken care of but it fit into where we wanted to be and the timeframe that we still needed to fill at the end of our five month trip so we applied for it. During our video chat with Vivian and Rick we felt very comfortable with what we would be expected to do. We both grew up with farm animals, but it had been a long time. we were so glad we stepped out of our comfort zone. We love this farm. The ducks and geese just make you smile and Murphy, the donkey, was so friendly. The sheep were no trouble at all. The two barn cats were as friendly as any house cats, and we fell in love with Ramona, the dog. We actually looked forward to doing our chores both morning and evening, and we found ourselves wanting to stay home on the farm more then touring the area. Everything was so well organized and all the instructions were written down for us. It really helped to do the chores with Vivian the night before and the morning that they left. We enjoyed getting to know her and Rick. Their home was beautiful , clean and comfortable. We would love to come back again.
