This is as good as a sit gets - jump on it! A lovely, comfortable home in a great location with the bonus of a pool and spa; welcoming hosts; and a kind little dog. Cleaners came the day I arrived and departed which was such a thoughtful and appreciated gesture. The guest room is a charming cottage-style room and the bathroom was recently redone. Andi is thoroughly lovable, her care is straightforward and walks happen on interesting, quiet streets lined with mature trees. A+++ sit!
What a great experience we had house sitting for Emma and her family. Emma left all the information we needed to look after the house and also all the info for Peanut, Honey and Bebe routine. Right away we fell in love with Peanut. He is such a little joy ball of fur. From taking him to the park to cuddling with him, it was 100% a great experience. Being only a few minutes walking distance to the great Windsor Park, we had the privilege and opportunity to walk Peanut there every day. With Honey and Bebe (the cats), we had to gain their trust...it took about 3 days for them to be used to us. Then we were allowed petting and little hang outs at a time. Within one week of sit, we were getting presents from them :) The home is located in an enclosed community which made us feel very safe and comfortable. We would definitely house sit for Emma and her family again.
We stayed a month at Caroline and John’s place and absolutely fell in love with Vetti and Tina! We didn’t want to leave them. We overlapped for one night, sat outside and had a lovely meal together. they’re very easy-going & super friendly. The house is surrounded by farmland, which is fantastic when it’s planted and everything is green, when it’s not planted or when it’s dry, it can be quite dusty if it’s windy. We were 10 minutes from gorgeous, wild beaches and I was on my paddleboard nearly every day in November. It was so nice to have a car to do some local exploring. There’s a farmers market in a different town nearly every other day, and I highly recommend Vera & exploring the northern coast and the mountains between their house and Almeria. The mountain towns of Sorbas & Mojacar are particularly nice. Thank you so much Caroline! We definitely recommend this sit & would love to take care of Vetti and Tina again!
When you have the chance to stay in a flat in Venice? Really loved it to stay where others go for sightseeing. Nelson is really handsome and lovely plus good on the leash and well known in the streets so and be suprised if people on the street call his name. The cats were low maintenance. Be ready to share the bed. The flat has everything you need to stay in and cook or wash your stuff.
We had the best time staying in Nick and Aletia’s wonderful home with their amazing pups! The house is near a picturesque village, surrounded by beautiful views of the wolds. At all times of the day you can expect to see and hear the wildlife that resides in the fields surrounding the house. It is such a great feeling to be relaxing with a book on the balcony and seeing a deer or rabbit playing below you. Nick and Aletia are the most brilliant hosts who instantly make you feel comfortable and relaxed. Both have such a positive outlook on life that makes conversations so much more authentic! Nick is kind and funny, and was a huge help as he drove us to/from the station. Aletia is incredibly organised, with everything in the house running like clockwork. She is also full of talents! She is a singer with an angelic voice, a great cocktail maker, and also has a plethora of knowledge about every topic possible! The couple were such terrific hosts who were gracious and easy to communicate with. Now, most importantly - the 3 D’s. These are the most gorgeous and friendly dogs you will ever meet. They are all extremely well trained and easy to care for. However, they also have very distinct personalities which will make you love them even more. Dodger has trademark puppy dog eyes that he will use to signal for an extra treat or to get you to play tug with him. His love language involves rubbing his head on your leg to let you know that you should keep tugging with him!! Daisy is slightly nervous at first but it is not long before she showers you with love and cuddles. She can also be relied to lie beside you at night and come wake you up in the morning. Her tennis ball is her favourite toy, and watching her run after it like an olympic athlete is truly admirable. Duke, despite being the same age as Dodger, is still the puppy of the group. He is innocent and lively boy with such a great personality that you can’t help but love. He will be the one who makes sure you are safe by following you where you go and scanning the perimeter. Apart from this, the dogs’ special personalities can only be understood properly through experience. This is a sit we would definitely recommend as it is a perfect trifecta: great hosts + beautiful home + amazing pups!
If you get the chance to sit for Luna, you are in for a treat! Louise was very easy to communicate with and straight forward since our first contact. We loved looking after Luna and spending time with her. Luna is a sweet and loving cat, she is independent and goes out of the house through the cat flap whenever she wants. She also enjoys company. She sleeps during the day, and usually goes out exploring during the evening. Louise's home is comfy and cozy with a fantastic artist decor. We loved how attentive to details Louise is with her decoration. Near the house you can find shops for food or anything else you might need, and the city centre is a short ride away on the bus.
