Marisa is an awesome pet sitter! She was so very intuitive and understanding in her care of our pup. Joanne was a perfect housesitter and guest. She communicated easily, even when I was behind in my responses. Joanne was easy to arrange a call with and coordinate to meet and stay with our pets. What an experience living in a small historical town in the French countryside known as the city of writing and book professions. All in walking distance, a typewriter museum, a macaron museum, bookshops, a gourmet restaurant, concerts, town dinners, a riverside grill, and kind townspeople await you in Montmorillon. Charlie, the dog, Georgie, the orange kitty, and Teddy, the black kitty have so much personality! They entertained us daily and were a treat to watch. Charlie accompanied us to our daily garden watering where we picked and later ate squash, lettuce, cucumbers, and tomatoes. Carol and John are such nice people. We enjoyed a home cooked dinner with them outside on their terrace and they left us wonderful treats. Thanks for a great sit.
Bob and DaAnne are the PERFECT people you’d want to not only cat-sit for, but also to be friends with. • Excellent communication prior to and during my 3 week sit • Low maintenance sit – expectations are to love their cats, keep things tidy, take out the trash, collect packages – nothing unreasonable • Both cats balance snuggles/independence and are easy to care for • Perfect location – restaurants, small grocery markets, parks are within a few blocks. Main part of State Street, which is iconic, is about a 30-minute walk • Their neighborhood area is very quiet and I felt incredibly safe. I am a light sleeper and there were no car noises or anything else that woke me up • Home is tidy with 3 levels (stairs) with 3 outdoor balcony/patios to choose from. One has an ocean view and I ended up having dinner there a few times (Mama really likes this one). Another is right off the kitchen/dining area and is nice to open for fresh air and is shaded. I didn’t end up using the 3rd patio which is a garden heaven. • Quiet, comfortable office space to work Bob and DaAnne provide a thorough manual giving great background information on Mama and Izzy which helps to understand them and provide the best care you can. The manual also provides info about their beautiful and comfortable home and they’ve thoughtfully included great tips to explore Santa Barbara. They are laid back and reasonable people. I got the impression they would never get bent out of shape if you moved something and forgot to put it back or accidentally broke a glass or something. They sincerely wish you a great experience in exploring their town while taking care of the kitties and being respectful of their home. Cat instructions are EASY. Feed twice a day (don’t leave out food- most days they didn’t immediately eat it all, so I’d put it up until they were hungry later. Mama especially likes to eat little bits at a time) and scoop litter once/day (although I did it twice). Their litterbox is downstairs and they use quality litter that reduces smell and they also have the litter genie, so it’s very clean/organized and in its own area. Neither cat had accidents/issues and it is inevitable that you’ll fall in love with them both. I recommend this sit for those who work remotely and/or expect to be home several hours a day or at least in the evenings. The cats enjoy morning snuggles, sleep in the afternoon, then play in the evenings. They enjoy human interaction (with their cat toys, being on the balcony, brushing, or just being on your lap). If you are lucky enough to be asked to cat sit Izzy and Mama, you should JUMP on this chance. It will be the best experience you have through this app.
We really enjoyed our time meeting Fran and looking after Tilly and Winnie! Fran is *so* thoughtful and friendly, going out of her way to help us out upon our arrival and instantly making us feel right at home. Her friendliness and openness really made us feel at ease. Tilly and Winnie are two beautiful, adorable girls who stole our hearts! They could be excitable when going for a walk or just having some playtime in the garden but also were very chilled out when just hanging around the house, for example when watching a movie in the evening. As dogs go, they were fairly low maintenance which meant that we were also able to take some day trips in the area as they were okay on their own for a bit. But they were wonderful companions, totally lovable, and we were sad to say "goodbye!" We'll be happy to be back for a future sit.
I cannot emphasise enough how wonderful it was to house sit for Eve, Tom and family. They were incredibly hospitable and went totally over and above for us which was deeply appreciated. Their home was immaculate and cosy. The pets were super well behaved and down right adorable. Eve provided thorough instructions and communicated the perfect amount for us to feel free but supported. Overall, I highly recommend this house sit.
I call myself very lucky that I recently had the opportunity to look after kitties Milo and Kaia. It was an absolutely amazing house sit in every way! Milo and Kaia has to be one of the loveliest cats I've ever met - they’re such a gentle, friendly, happy, cuddly little pup, and very well behaved. Especially Milo loves human company and would always follow me around the apartment and sit next to me or on my lap. He really enjoys cuddles and belly rubs. :) Jordynn was very attentive with me, providing support and answering all the questions I had. Thank you for this experience and I know whoever housesit for you is going to be very lucky!!!
