Linda and Lew were very welcoming and homely people. Their daughter Amy was a lot of fun and enjoyed our time together and supporting her with her new house completion. Milo and Squeaky are just adorable and recommend this home sit. Due to the recent cyclone accommodation shortage, I am so grateful to them for offering me to stay an extra 4 days, until my next home sit.

Dr Carla Machado
Dr Carla was most attentive to me while staying with her, explained everything, and was available to text during my stay for any questions I might have had. Her apartment was very neat and comfortable and near a train station which made getting to the center of London really easy. Ella is a very cute dog, very photogenic, and loves water.
This was a great experience for me as my first time in London.

This was a very difficult review to write because Sarah as a home owner is a wonderful person and very responsive. She was open to our suggestions and requests and very apologetic to the issues that arose, but I also need to be honest about the issues we did have since we ultimately have to review our experience with the dogs themselves and the home. We were left with food the dogs had never had before, which resulted in one of the dogs having diarrhea during the night which was a pretty big clean up. Ai continued to occasionally vomit throughout the stay, which seemed like a known ongoing issue. It was stressful to find and clean up vomit as often as we had to. We found also that the dogs having free rein of the couch caused us not to feel totally comfortable to relax in the home. Due to the amount of dog hair, drool spots, somewhat regular vomit and a torn couch cushion, it was hard to feel like we could relax there. All in all, the dogs are good dogs and sweet to our kids, and Sarah is a good, responsive owner, but we would have felt this was a better house sit if there hadn’t been as much clean up involved for the dogs.

What hospitality ! Despite cancelling their trip Lee and Sammi very kindly invited me to stay with them in their lovely home. Both they and their girls made me feel very welcome and I’d like to thank them for their kindness. Whenever our dates match up I’ll be only too happy to sit for them again.

We loved this house sit, beautiful character house in pretty village with good walks from the doorstep. Stella and Bobby are well behaved affectionate dogs who love their walks and cuddling up to you in the house. Jacqueline and Colin are great hosts who made us very welcome and their son Henry left us several maps of local walks which were really useful. The chickens were fun to look after and rewarded us with fresh eggs for breakfast every day. Newby Hall is in the same village and Fountains Abbey and Ripon just a short drive away. Highly recommend the Grantham Arms in Boroughbridge particularly for Sunday Lunch. We would house sit here again anytime.
