The best place for doggy daycare and boarding! The staff is beyond nice, and they truly care for your pet like it's their own. Our dog storm loves going there and gets so excited whenever I mention daycare. Thank you guys for being the best!
If you feel that your dogs are part of your family then this where you take them. Run by people who love dogs. Well organized. Our girls are so excited to get here and are exhausted by the time the get home from fun. Socializing your dogs are a must and this places gets it done
My pups love K-9. They’ve been going here twice a week or more than six months. They are so happy every time I bring them. Exhausted when they come home. Love the staff, everyone is so nice and they do extra stuff like Halloween and Christmas pictures. The pups are happy to see the staff, which tells me they are treated well. My dogs don’t smell nearly as bad or get sick like they did at other daycares. Definitely check them out!!
My dog just loves Playtime! He boarded recently for 8 days when I had surgery. Wonderful people who truly love their clients!
Our dog Cooper loves it here. He plays, get wore out, less hyper, and interacts with other pups.
Best place they are very accommodating take great care of your dog. I give them 5+
Our pups really love going here. We had an out of town trip and our pups came home very happy and very tired. They always get real excited when they realize where they are going. Yeah, it's a little more expensive than other places, but they always treat the dogs great and they aren't afraid to call us if they have questions or concerns.
Our pup is so excited about going there and she comes home tired! Plus we have boarded her overnight and she loved it. We also have her bathed and get her nails trimmed there -a regular doggie SPA day!! Our dog has sensitive skin and she never has a problem with K9 baths 🧼!! We love them!!
Staff very friendly and my puppy loved her morning
Both of my dogs are absolutely awful getting their nails done. I took them to 4 different groomers and each one told me to either drug them or buy a muzzle for them. I became hopeless finding someone who could do it. Not only were they able to but they did it in under 20 minutes and they came out with their tails wagging! In all the years I've experienced bringing my dogs to get their nails trimmed I've never seen them happy afterwards or without any of their nails bleeding. They had such a pleasant experience and I'm so impressed with how short and smooth their nails are. We will definitely be bringing them back and probably sign them up for daycare once a week. They are amazing!
Our puppy had a great experience at Happy Pup Manor. We missed him so much but seeing photos of him so happy and playing outside was great, as were the report cards we got every other day. It’s hard to send your puppy away but he was clearly so loved and so well cared for, and he came home with some great skills that we can continue to build on. Big thumbs up from us!
We just got our 4 month old labradoodle puppy Taco back from Happy Pup Manor. He went for a month of training and we couldn’t be happier with how he returned to us. He left struggling with having accidents in the house, nipping and biting, only knowing limited commands. He came back to us a proper little gentleman. He is now totally house trained, no longer nipping and biting, very obedient! This is our second dog we have had Gabby and Happy Pup Manor train for us. With a new puppy I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them with training, their training eliminated many of the struggles you deal with when welcoming a new dog to your house.
Our golden doodle Cosmo was trained by Gabby at Happy Pup Manor in 2018 and has been back to board twice while we were on vacation. We absolutely trust the care, love, and attention given to Cosmo by the staff at Happy Pup Manor. We love the door-to-door service, the picture and video updates, and the bath Cosmo gets before he returns home. We have recommended Happy Pup Manor to several friends who have also brought their puppies for boarding and training. We can't say enough about the great service we have experienced.
We sent our Goldendoodle Wynnie to Happy Pup and had a wonderful experience. She is now a loving, well trained dog! Gabby and her entire staff are outstanding- Gabby opens her gorgeous home to all of the dogs and cares for them as her own. Our family can travel peacefully knowing Wynnie is in the best of care, and happy with her friends. We love to see all of the pictures and videos of her playing! Happy Pup Manor is truly an incredible, one of a kind training and boarding facility!
Gabby and her team far exceeded our expectations. We have a whole new dog. I don’t know how 10 days of training can change a puppy this much! Most valuable though, was the hour of time my family spent with Gabby learning how to continue training our golden doodle puppy on her own. Seriously this is the best money I’ve ever spent. Photo 1: Gabby texted us photos of our dog throughout the weeks and kept us updated on how training was going. Photo 2: we attended the hour long consultation and training with a 10-year-old and Four-year-old. Gabby was fantastic in helping her understand how to train the dog and also setting some reasonable expectations.
Happy Pup Manor was an amazing experience! My mini goldendoodle puppy had a 2 week stay with them and I couldn't be more impressed! The staff was in constant contact with me throughout the process - I received regular updates and photos but our go home lesson was what really got me. Daga was FANTASTIC! The go home lesson was clear and informative- she was great with teaching and encouraging my kids with the training. Daga also made sure we completely understood everything we went over! I also simply cant believe the change in my pup - I will definitely be scheduling further training lessons here!
My experience with Happy Pup Manor was wonderful. My husband and I were very frustrated with our little pup when we reached out to Gabby for help. We weren't getting any sleep at night and walking her was a chore. Gabby was very helpful over the phone and helped us understand why she was doing those things and how to change them. Bella, our pup, stayed for 10 day training/boarding camp and arrived home a refined dog. Gabby sent pics and updates throughout the stay and then went through all the training for over 2 hours with us when Bella arrived home. She is the same sweet dog, but with manners:) Walks are so relaxing now and we are able to take her to patios and dine with no problem. She goes to her bed on her own now and knows not to jump on our guests. We have received so many compliments on what a well behaved dog we have out in public. Thank you Gabby for your hard work!!!
We brought our golden doodle home when he was 8 weeks old. I had dogs growing up but I never remember the puppy stage like this. Nipping, not listening at all, the dog was basically “in charge” of us. This didn’t work because my two younger daughters were actually scared of him even though he looks like a cute little teddy bear. When we first got him, we thought we could figure it out on our own but we were so wrong. 😂 After talking to our breeder, she highly recommended Happy Puppy Manor. About two weeks later, 12 weeks old, our boy, Eugene, got picked up in the magical black van and headed off to the 4 week board and train program. We all cried when he left so it was extremely comforting when HPM would send pictures and video of our boy every other day. He made friends while he was there and I could tell he loved it! He even had his first puppy groom while he was there. When Gabby brought him home, we were in shock at just how much he had learned. When we talked to Gabby initially, we discussed my younger daughter’s fear and Gabby recommended focusing on the “place” command in addition to all of the other basic obedient commands. Boy did she nail it! When he got home, she asked him to go to bed and he stayed there for about 20 min while she started talking to us about his training. In addition to place, he has learned to stop pulling on his leash, come, stay, sit and down. Most importantly, his nipping and jumping went down significantly which has allowed the fear to be removed from my daughters! He also stays in his crate all night until we are ready to let him out. Prior to his training, he’d be the one walking us up every morning. Gabby and all the wonderful trainers and staff created such a strong foundation for us to build on. Their communication was great and, although I was hesitant and in disbelief that Eugene could learn that much in just 4 weeks, the entire experience was very positive and I couldn’t be happier with the results. Best money I have ever spent! If I ever get another dog in the future, they will, for sure, be heading to happy puppy manor board and train! Eugene will be heading back for boarding in the future. It’s the only place I’ll trust my little dude! Pic of him “in bed” 🥰
I can’t say enough about how amazing Happy Pup Manor and their staff are. I spoke with Gabby before I even had a dog. I was seeking information on therapy training for my future puppy. Gabby asked me to tell her about the program my dog would be working for, which is a non profit for children with Special Needs and learning differences. She recommended the type of dog that would be a great fit, sent me a list of reputable breeders, and offered to come with us on puppy picking day. Once we had our amazing puppy, Tilly, when she turned 12 weeks old, she went to Happy Pup Manor for the 10 day board and train . Our entire family was asked attend the take home lesson so we all knew how to continue our well behaved puppy training at home. After turning a year old, Tilly returned to Happy Pup Manor for 4 weeks for therapy dog training. Tilly is a sensitive pup who needed a little TLC being away from mom. Lead trainer Carol, and every member of their staff, including the kennel staff, gave her the love and security she needed. I needed specific therapy tasks taught for my program. The trainers listened to what our needs were and customized her therapy training to meet those needs. I left toddler sized adaptive equipment with them and they trained Tilly to assist with the equipment perfectly. The entire staff kept in contact with me during her stay with them. There were videos, photos, emails, and phone calls with updates on her training. We are beyond proud to have such a well trained dog that can provide several therapeutic tasks on command. Many specialized families dream of having a therapy dog for their loved one, but the cost of obtaining a therapy dog is simply not feasible. The therapy training that Happy Pup Manor provides can make all of those hopes and dreams come true ! As we continue to give back to our Special Needs community, we are forever grateful for the outstanding therapy training Tilly has received with Happy Pup Manor.
We had the best experience with Gaby and Happy Pup Manor. We sent our (then) 6month old golden doodle puppy named Sunday to Gaby for the 10 day train and board and he came back a new puppy! He was always sweet and adorable, but now he is an expert at sit and down stays, he knows to go to his bed when people come to the door or ring the doorbell, and overall is just a better listener and well-behaved little guy! I bring Sunday to work with me and everyone cannot get over how well behaved he is especially for his age. This past week he was used in a photo shoot for a dog friendly hotel client of ours and he was a super star model. Staying everywhere he was told and posing perfectly. I WAS A PROUD MOM -- and that is all thanks to Gaby! Finally, you can tell that Gaby TRULY cares about the pups she trains, which is amazing. She also took the time to "train" my husband and I when she brought him home to us so that we can properly reinforce what he learned. We also received cute videos and photos throughout his time at Happy Pup Manor which was amazing since we missed our little guy SO much! Anyway, I CANNOT RECOMMEND GABY enough - she is amazing and the only person you should consider sending your fur baby to for training.
I brought my 1 year old toddler yorkie to here to be groomed. Both Lauren and Elizabeth were so helpful when it came to checking her in and getting us a super great deal. We will definitely be back again soon. Thanks for shampooing my baby butterscotch biscuit. You gals are awesome. So is the guy in the back that groomed her.
So Far Sooooo goooood! My dog lives it. Everyone is incredibly nice and the doggy day care wears my Pooch out nicely. She comes home and is exercised and happy
I have been taking my dogs here for 10 years! Unfortunately the prices keep changing. My dogs always shared a room because they are more comfortable together. They would stay in 1 executive suite! As of late they started charging me for 2 executive suites every time they stay over! I understand there needs to be a charge for the 2nd dog, I had asked if I could be charged for the executive suite that they stay in and then charged for a less expensive suite since they don’t even use a 2nd room at all! For some reason they will not allow it.. I need to be charged for two $65 rooms instead of $65 and $40. It makes no sense to me! Also on the website it says that the overnight boarding includes a day of daycare. Well that is not exactly true! We dropped off my dogs at 6:30 pm Friday and picked up Saturday at 6:30 which would be an overnight and a daycare. The daycare is only included the day they get there. So for my 2 dogs to stay overnight and do one day of daycare was $190! That’s just too much! After 10 years I’m going to have to find a new more affordable place to take my dogs!
Oakview Pet Resort is amazing. Everyone there is so kind and willing to answer any questions, they were happy to give me a tour of the facility as well. I took my dog to doggy daycare somewhere else and it smelled SO BAD I would have to give my dog a bath after every visit and the people were so rude. I'm so glad I found a place that's friendly and my dog doesnt reek when I pick him up.
These guys provide outstanding customer service. I feel a sense of relief knowing my dog is in good hands during my workday.
Friendly service that takes very good care of the dog. Ernest comes home happily tired at the end of the day; the team at Oakview is always happy to see him the next morning!
We love this place. They treat our Sully like their own dog. He has so much fun during the day at day care, and has stayed overnight a few times. Super friendly staff. The rates are super reasonable as well. It's best to get the punch card because it saves you $20 over time. Also, Wednesday and Thursday are $25 for the whole day!
What a wonderful, well maintained, CLEAN and happy place to bring your pet! I have tried other places for doggy daycare and was never really impressed, but that all changed the first time I used Oakview. The girls that work the front desk honestly seem to enjoy working there, they always greet my dog like he's THEIR pet, and once they take his leash, he never even looks back at me- a sign that he is happy being there. I don't worry all day at work about how he's being treated, and I like that they have some private rooms and will put a dog in there when he seems like he needs a little "down time". This is by far the cleanest, most well-run daycare I've seen, and my dog and I both loves the days that he gets to go there!
Dog owners please beware!!! This kennel is responsible for multiple pet injuries with a complete lack of communication and disregard for pet owners. My parents brought their yorkies here for a short weekend stay a few weeks ago. They were told that big and small dogs would be separated and that the pets would be closely monitored. At the end of the weekend, both dogs had multiple deep puncture wounds that required multiple staples. My parents were not notified. No voicemails or missed calls. And it happened on the first day before their flight left so they could have changed plans to care for the pups. Looking at other negative reviews in hindsight (which seem to be hidden unless one searched for them) I was appalled to find that this is a PATTERN for this organization. Multiple dogs have been injured without any remorse from management or communication about what actually happened! There is even a person on Yelp who describes having a pet die due to injuries sustained at this kennel. I can only speak for myself and our family pups are obviously traumatized as are my parents by the experience. And judging by the location of the bites it could have been much much worse. Please be aware before trusting your pets with this business.
Great place with great friendly staff. So happy they are following social distancing guidelines. We love taking our dog here. Very affordable for daycare as well as grooming services.
We adopted two new puppies about 6 months ago and have recently had them go for boarding and grooming at Doggie Playhouse two times now. Both pups seem very anxious to go through the front door which tells me they have a good time when they are there. When we pick them up and bring them home after their boarding, they seem happy and, at the same time, a bit tired. I think that's a good sign that they are having fun during their visit with their "new friends". We are planning on having them go for some daycare services so they can continue to have fun with their new buddies even when we're not going out of town and need them boarded. Jeff, Joe and the entire staff are great and our mind is at ease knowing they are being well cared for while we're gone.
We love Doggie Playhouse!! Our lab can’t wait to get out of the car to come in and play. She has been going to DP since she was a pup and can never get enough. We have also boarded her and she comes home tired and happy. Kudos and many thanks to Jeff and the crew who take such good care of our girl! We would never go anywhere else!!
My golden loves the play time and grooming is also excellent. She squeezed us in for the holidays and did a beautiful job. My golden looks gorgeous for the holidays thanks to their groomer!
I’m glad we found this place! This is our second time getting our dog groomed here and it’s been wonderful so far. My dog (a very anxious one) seems to like the place and the people working here too. He wasn’t acting scared when I picked him up.
We love doggie playhouse! We especially love Bandit’s groomer, Corey. She does an exceptional job with Bandit even though he’s very cranky and touch sensitive with being groomed. Corey is patient, kind, and loving. She always touches base with me after grooming, letting me know if she found Bandit to be particularly sensitive in any spots while grooming. Bandit had been seeing Corey for the last year, and we will definitely keep bringing him back.
My ver timid senior dog did very well with play time. Everyone who works here is so caring and they understand how to handle the challenges special dogs like mine. I loved that many of the senior dogs are up front sleeping where it’s quiet and soothing for them. Great place for your dog to be a dog!
Joe and Jeff are terrific! They know dogs and do what they can to keep them safe and make them feel welcomed.
Been taking my pups to Doggie Playhouse for over twenty years. It's a wonderful place, and absolutely dependable. Even when unexpected things happen, they get handled. Oh and also: my dogs love this place!
Jeff and the team at Doggie Playhouse are the best!! Our dogs LOVE going to play at DP. The staff treats all the dogs like family. Cannot say enough about Doggie Playhouse. Our little Moose runs to say hello to Corey in the grooming room every time he goes to play. Our pups are so excited when they go to Doggie Playhouse to spend the day!!!
This review is long overdue: we took our Corgi here for daycare and he loved it! He came home super tired which is exactly what he needed. Overall the time we took him there we were very happy with the staff/owner and services. We also appreciated the flexibility of when we could bring him. Eventually we brought his brother a few times which he loved too! We were sad to move as we could no longer bring them. Thank you again to everyone at Doggie Playhouse! Highly recommend! Love, Kulo&Atlas
My dog, Vicky, has been going there for years! She is so excited to jump in the car, go for a ride, & get to Best friends. The staff for grooming & boarding do an excellent job taking care of her! My husband & I trust them for meeting Vicky’s needs, especially because, she is an older dog:).
Our cat loves going here for boarding. They treat him so well, he gets the social aspect he needs and we feel safe while we have to be away from our baby. They send us pics and provide a selection of add on snacks. 5 stars from Squirrel.
Our dogs love this place. Whether it is for grooming or overnight stays, they have never failed to provide the best care for babies. I truly feel that they are in the best place when we travel. We always return to well cared for, happy and healthy pets.
We have been boarding with Best Friends for about 7 years now. We never had an issue. Michelle ( the manager) is always super friendly and always accommodates our needs. We use their salon as well. Given our pup is not an easy going, they are doing their best and never refused to provide a service.
I had initially given 5 stars. But I'm changing it to a 1. Tonight we picked up Erin after a 3 night stay with grooming. She's lost weight, she's limping, she's uninterested in her favorites treats, her human children, or food. Her nails are jagged and extremely short. We've had great experiences in the past but this one is so bad we won't be boarding her anywhere again. My kids are distraught with worry over their best friend who also returned wheezing.
Easily the best dog boarding we've ever had. Our three big dogs are always so happy to visit and play or stay overnight. The staff all know us and our three dogs, and treat us like family. Our dogs come back to us happy and tired every time we take them. Fantastic facility backed by an exceptionally amazing crew!
We were pleased from our initial phone call to the day we picked up our cat , Olive, after 9 days of boarding. We were impressed with the communication of staff members and their attention to details to make Olive comfortable! We will definitely call on Best Friends when the need arises!
Have been using them for years. The staff is great and they treat my dogs as if it’s their dogs. I also love that they work with my vet, Lincolnshire Animal Hospital. There’s great communication between the two businesses
Best Friends is my dog’s favorite place to go! The staff is friendly. They always welcome Logan in by name for whatever service we are there for. I like Best Friends because when the dog stays overnight I receive an emailed picture and update of how my dog is doing.
For 10 years, Sarah has done the most amazing job with all of our dogs! Just took our Berner mix puppy to her today for his first grooming. She’s the best!!
Make sure to get connected with Jeff. He & his wife run a friendly family owned business. They love dogs. They enjoy trainer together and working toward making sure your dog is being trained or staying safe. Thank you for caring for Madison!
Thank you Jeff!! We dropped our 10 month old Cane Corso, Atlas for a 2 week board/train. We came back to a more disciplined and social dog. He deals better with other dogs and people without having a bad stranger anxiety attack. The facility is excellent and alot of room (large fenced in open grass yard) for dogs to run and play. Jeff took it upon himself to make sure Atlas was well taken cared of and communicated with us regularly on his progress and even face timing us to show progress. Great customer service!!
Our 4 year old German Shepherd, Sherman did a 6 week board-and-train here with Jeff and WOW were we impressed with what he was able to accomplish during that time! Sherman had been having trouble with other dogs, anxiety that was at times uncontrollable, and fear and anxiety around water. After less than 2 weeks, Jeff had him relaxed right next to another German Shepherd who also had issued being calm around other dogs and jumping in the lake to swim out to me. We were SHOCKED at the progress he had made in such a short period of time. Sherman has been home with us for a little over a week now and we have been able to maintain his skills with Jeff's instructions and Sherman is so much happier! We can walk by other dogs on the street and he barely pays them any mind where as perviously he would have knocked us over. We have had several other trainers work with Sherman and no one has come close to achieving the success that Jeff has. His gentle approach to training makes your dog fall in love with him and actually WANT to please him/you rather than fear based training. Thank you Jeff for everything!!!
Could not be happier. This has been a great experience so far. I have taken my Australian Shepherd to train with Jeff the past few weeks and have noticed such a difference in My dogs behavior. He has had reactivity issues he has been working on and we were able to take him into stores this week and it went amazing!! The amount of progress made in such little time already has been so wonderful for our dog. We’re looking forward to where we go from here.
From Martha and Michael. Jeff has been great with our puppy. He's done every thing he can to help us and was really able to demonstrate how much he does this for the love of dogs! He spends a great deal of time with the dogs and goes well out of his way to share his knowledge. Greatly appreciate the effort he is putting towards our puppy and cannot wait to see the results!!
My family and I are very happy with the care and attention our standard size Berniedoodle Moose received at Von Miller kennel. Jeff the owner and trainer worked wonders with our 6 month old puppy during his board and stay. Moose is much more relaxed, obedient, and responsive to our direction. Jeff is a very patient trainer that gives you the tools you need to keep your dog on track when you return home. We are very happy with our experience and would highly recommend Jeff and his kennel for your dogs training. Heather Kiely
Jeffrey Miller is the best dog trainer I have ever met! I adopted my 5th doberman back in November, he was only 18 months and he was a handful. I found Jeffrey's website and saw that he was very familiar with dobermans and he also breeds them. By speaking with him several times, I got a strong feeling that he knew what he was talking about regarding training. I brought my dog to him for a 6 week board and train. I must admit I was quite 😓 nervous at first and I really didn't want to leave my dog with him for that length of time. However, every time I went to see my dog, Rex, at Jeffrey's training facility I could see that Rex really loved Jeffrey and he was well taken care of ❤. I am so thankful to Jeffrey for training my dog and being so patient with me through the entire process. He has even been to my home to help me with certain issues. Rex and I consider Jeffrey as a dear friend now and I know I can always call him with any questions or concerns I might have. If you are looking for a dog-trainer, look no further, call Jeffrey. You will not be disappointed. Pamela Graf
I have been trying to get my $1500 deposit back from Jeff after I found another place that is better for my dog. I met with Jeff for a consult back on June 12. After the end of our consult, I gave Jeff a $1500 check deposit "to hold a spot - because [Jeff] is booking out quickly...", the standard sales pitch. I never signed a contract and we never set a specific date. Then about a week later I had a consult with another company that would not keep my dog in a crate all day (and only out for training). I sent an email to Jeff (Northshore K-9/Vonmiller Kennels) on June 27 requesting a refund of my deposit, less the consult fee, and then sent a follow up text on July 7 asking when I should expect my refund. All I get is radio silence from this guy. I don't understand how an officer of the law thinks it's okay to keep my deposit - isn't that against the law-especially since no contract was signed? Jeff, you need to do the honorable thing and refund money you have not earned.
Our family decided to get a rottweiler puppy, with that decision also came the decision that we would send the pup off to training. This was important to us for many reasons, but our 2 young kids (3 & 9) as well as ourselves having control of this soon to be big guy was one of the top reasons! We welcomed Titan to our family in Aug 2019, and immediately began researching various trainers. We were prepared to send Titan as far as we needed to for the right fit. To our surprise we found Jeff Miller who was just a 15min drive from us. We went to meet Jeff and had an instant comfort upon walking onto his property and meeting him. You could instantly feel the true love he has for the dogs, and took so much time evaluating Titan to determine if he would be a great fit for Titan and vice-versa. Right there we just knew he and his team would be amazing! A few weeks later space opened up and Titan was welcomed into his facility and stayed for about 6wks. Jeff advised that I (the wife/Mom) would be the best family member to come in weekly to work one-on-one with Titan and himself. He explained I was the best fit because I would be home with him more, and Titan needed to see me as the pack leader. 2-3wks into training I began going to Jeff's facility 1-3 times per week to work with him, observe them, and learn everything I needed to know so that we could apply the training at home. The time Jeff puts into not only your dog, but you as the human is incredible. He is one of a kind! Training was amazing, and we continue to work hard at home implementing all Titan was taught. We have an awesome dog who just turned a year that we can walk around the block with no pulling. He stays by our side, lays down when a dog walks past without even one bark. Jeff is always checking in with us, and is always a phone call away for any question or thought that comes up. The price you pay is beyond worth not only the initial training, but the life-long support you will get from Jeff!
Hands down the best breeding and training facility around. Jeff Miller is very passionate and knowledgeable about what he does. He's transparent about the health and behavior of his dogs, their working/breeding history, his training methods, and everything else. Not only was I impressed with his dogs, but also with his integrity. He doesn't sacrifice their health or temperament for superficial traits like so many other breeders do. He's doesn't breed dogs to "show and sell", he breeds them for purpose. Whether it's performing in the field as protection dogs, service dogs, or just being the perfect family guardian, his dogs can do it all. The GSD pup we got from him almost a year ago has been so wonderful, and our family couldn't be happier. He has high drive, but not hyperactivity. He's eager to please and easy to train. He's alert but not aggressive or fearful. He's loving but not bratty. He LOVES to play, and loves to be engaged with his humans. In short, he's everything you want in a family dog. Gorgeous and healthy to! Jeff has been a fantastic resource along the way, and he's very quick to respond with anything we need help with. It's wonderful to have a breeder/trainer that wants to be engaged with owners in the long-run, not just to make a quick buck. We look forward to many more years of fun and affection from our furry guardian. What else can I say? Great facility, great owner, great services, great dogs. Definitely recommend for any reason.
Amanda was wonderful with my pet! We left town and did not want our dog to stay in a kennel. Amanda offered her services and we were very happy! She was very responsible and spent extra time with our dog. He loved her. She fed and walked him, along with checking in on our home and guniea pig. We felt so secure having her watch our pets and home while we were away. We would recommend her in a heartbeat!
This was our first time using a pet sitter for our dogs and we were very pleased with Amanda's service! We will be using her from now on whenever we go out of town. It was so nice to know our dogs were safe and sound at home and not stressed out in a kennel or some place they weren't familiar with. A few of the dogs have to be separated at all times and she did a great job handling them individually with no issues which was great! Also Amanda sent us pictures everyday and texted us with updates daily. She also watered our flowers and brought in the mail. She was fantastic! Our dogs were happy as can be all week and we didn't worry about a thing while we were away. We will definitely be recommending her to our fellow animal loving friends and family.
Amanda is the absolute best pet sitter! We have 3 cats and 2 of them sometimes have issues with going outside of their litter boxes. Amanda's been great at handling this. I love that she sends us pics and text messages to let us know how things are going. She's been a life-saver as we've had situations come up where we've needed her services at the last minute and she's been there for us. Once you meet her, you can tell she really likes and cares about the 'babies' in her charge! So glad we found Amanda!
Amanda watched our two cats while we took a short vacation. She did such an amazing job, our cats were happy, we received pictures and text messages after every visit and she kept our house clean and even brought in our mail. I have used another pet sitter in the area but they didn't provide anywhere near the fantastic service Amanda did. She is definitely the only pet sitter I will use from now on.
We love Amanda! We're last minute people, and she's always been available when we needed her, even on very short notice. We've had her watch our three dogs overnight in our home, and she's come to walk them during the day. The house is always in good shape, and she's even gone the extra mile to clean up when the pups are muddy. She gives them lots of love and attention, and treats them as her own! We trust her completely and our dogs love her company!
Amanda has been walking my dog twice weekly for the past 1-1/2 years. Amanda is trustworthy, reliable, accommodating of schedule changes but, most importantly, she really, really cares for our dog. On occasion I've been home when Amanda has come and I have seen how much Oakley loves her. Amanda sends me a photo and message after each walk to let me know where they went and how Oakley did. I am always glad to know Oakley has a midday break for some exercise and attention. We've also used Amanda for extended overnight care. We even got pictures everyday when we were in Europe! We felt comfortable knowing that Oakley was being well cared for - no anxiety whatsoever about how she was doing. Amanda is great and we are thankful we found her!
Amanda watched over our cat while we were away for our wedding and honeymoon. We had a wonderful experience working with Amanda K. Pet Sitters. Amanda was professional, prompt and made friends quickly with our shy cat. The daily photos and text messages helped keep our minds at ease while we were away. We would very much recommend their services!
Amanda always does a great job and we'd recommend her. She takes good care of our dogs and they love her. She also is excellent at communications and keeping us updated when we're away.
Amanda is wonderful! Milo, Clover and Lilly have found a new friend and we will have Amanda take care of them any time we are away. My Milo is a bit difficult - Amanda was patient and took the time to get to know him and knew how to handle his personality. I am so happy I don't have to worry anymore about going away. Such a relief knowing our pups are being well taken care of by an expert. Thanks Amanda - you're the best!
Amanda took GREAT care of my two cats while my wife and I were overseas for 16 days. She sent text updates and photos of my 'pals' after each visit which was a nice touch! She takes her business very seriously and really loves animals. She completely set my mind at ease so my wife and I could enjoy our vacation not stressing about the house and if our pets were OK. I highly recommend Amanda K Pet Sitters!!!
We rented out the pond for our dogs to play, they had a blast! It was so clean and the owner is so Nice and helpful! I will definitely be back , thank you for a great time!
We've been dropping our dogs off with Kathy for years! Her and her staff are amazing. I know nobody is going to treat Evie & Green Bean with the level of care they get here. Love this place!
I have been bringing my dogs to Gypsy Glen K-9 Kastle since 2014. My dogs spend several long weekends and week long visits every year. I know they are treated with love, kindness, and are in safe hands with people I trust.
We have been taking our fur baby to Gypsy Glen for 7 years since we adopted him. Kathy has given numerous tips to keep our dog happy and healthy - from natural dog treats, exercises to training instructions. Given Kathy's background of training K9 for police and fire, our dog is always better behaved when he comes home. We trust Kathy to keep up with the same level of discipline we give our dog. Kathy has been generous with samples of treats and food items so our dog can try different things before we purchase them. The staff is also very conscientious about making sure that the fur babies are in good health when they stay at Gypsy Glen so all other fur babies don't get sick. We always have to provide proof of yearly vaccinations, which gives us peace of mind that our dog is safe from potential life-threatening illnesses.
I wish I could give more stars. It is wonderful to find a place that loves and protects dogs. Kathy the owner spent a lot of time with my dog, a big muscular pit bull type mix who did NOT want her long claws clipped, was afraid to be someplace new. Kathy was so patient and kind, my dog eventually realized she was being helped, but first put up a big fight. Kathy knows, understands, & loves dogs. Gypsy Glen was created for the mental, physical benefit of the dogs in her care. I trust them completely, and there is no higher recommendation than to be able to feel that way.
Kathy was so wonderful with our dogs, both rescues with kennel anxiety. They were very much at ease when we dropped them off and picked them up. The facility is clean, and Kathy and her staff are very attentive. They don't just make sure the dogs are fed and let out - they truly care for your pet as if they were theirs. We will not take our dogs anywhere else!!
I have been bringing my dog to the kennel for at least 5 years Our dog has high anxiety and he is ALWAYS happy to see Kathy and stay at the kennel. He starts to get excited the minute he sees the kennel. I would HIGHLY recommend boarding at the kennel,
My experience with Kathy dates back almost 30 yrs ago. I purchased a black Lab from her. The dog was a beautiful & VERY HEALTHY pup, he just loved to run & had a big mind of his own. I had kids in diapers & this dog would sneak out all the time & just go run. Kathy worked with the dog & I for quite sometime, to try to get him to come to us. He literally would hear his name & run. We worked for months to no avail. She bought the dog back from me, spent 3 more years training him to sniff out Arsenic fires. The pup moved to Tx, to live his life with the Chief of the Fire Dept. Funny thing he’d still run, but all they had to do was start the car & he’d come back! Lol My point is..... How many breeders invest 3 years into training a dog that failed obedience classes 3x & give you your money back for the pup & the classes! Kathy was one of the most ETHICAL DOG BREEDERS around. I would not hesitate to bring my pup to her!!!
We have a 8 year old shep/dane mix who can be quite a handful. Our pup has been full of anxiety as long as we can remember, but Kathy has always gone the extra mile to make him feel comfortable. She gives him an extra large kennel (when available), she puts up a sheet to make sure he can get worked up from seeing other dogs, she even notices things hot spots and tends to them if needed. Kathy is always willing to go above and beyond to make sure our boy has a happy stay. He is always excited to get to Gypsie Glen K9 Castle, but more excited to come home. Just the way we like it! Gypsie Glen K9 Castle is the ONLY boarding facility I would trust my dogs to.
very knowledgeable dog owner/trainer. very professional. They have more than 50 acres of land devoted to animal care and boarding. Kathy is very experienced with german shepherds, and has actually started "Police K-9" and "Search and Rescue" programs for a few different local cities/counties. Easy to work with and very accommodating.
