This was an excellent housesit. Christine & Tony made us very welcome - firstly on a pre-visit and then when we arrived for our stay. We were extremely comfortable in their beautiful home and garden. Chester is a well-trained and affectionate dog and was a pleasure to walk in the scenic countryside near to the house. He is a great companion and we had lots of fun and laughs at his antics. We would have no hesitation in returning to care for Chester and would highly recommend this housesit. Thank you Christine, Tony & Chester for a brilliant week.
Taking care of Glen of Imaal terrier, Niamh, in Louise and Oscars beautiful apartment on the harbor in Ireland’s most walkable town, Greystones, was a joy. I will miss walking Niamh on the cliff walk towards Bray, on the North and South Beaches, and even into town to ride the DART train. Niamh is so polite and such a cuddler that mealtimes and hanging out on the balcony were a pleasure. Oscar and Louise provide detailed written information and were quickly available by text. I would definitely sit for them again.
I had a fantastic time looking after Pi and the hens in Hebden Bridge. Pi is an absolute sweetheart and was the best companion for the week. She is so well-behaved and calm but knows how to have fun too! We enjoyed lots of lovely long walks from the door and Pi was very good at showing me where all of the footpaths were. In the evenings she enjoyed lots of attention and cuddles as well as playing hide and seek with her toys and learning new tricks - she is a very clever girl! The hens were also no trouble and waking up to fresh eggs was amazing. Nicky was a great host and made me feel very welcome. She invited me up the night before to get to know Pi and the local dog walk which I really appreciated. The house was warm and comfortable with an absolutely amazing view! There is no shortage of things to do in the local area. Pi and I enjoyed walks up to Stoodley Pike, Midgely Moor, Hardcastle crags and much more. Hebden Bridge is also a really sweet town with no shortage of cafes! I really did have the best week with Pi and I'm going to really miss her. Such a lovely dog in every respect.

Sascha and Marieanne were very welcoming and kind/personable from the beginning. They let us stay the night before the sit to make traveling easier for us. In addition, they gave us a walkthrough of the daily tasks and made sure we were comfortable in their home and with Domino. Throughout the sit, they were very communicative and made sure that not only were we enjoying the sit and the keys; but they answered any questions we had as well. We absolutely loved the location of the house. It is on the water and Sascha and Marieanne let us use their kayak, which we used twice to check out the mangroves nearby (we saw stingrays, dolphins, horseshoe crabs, fish, and birds). The interior is super cozy and one of our favorite places was the lanai. We worked on puzzles and often sat out there and relaxed during the day. The house is only about a mile from Sombrero beach and daily walks there were amazing, and the water is so gorgeous. Lastly, I have to talk about Domino. This adorable tuxedo cat is quite the character. He is shy at first and may not come out a lot, but after getting used to you, he is such a love. He likes his belly rubs, pets, and chin scratches and has the sweetest little meow. If you want to spend time on the lanai at night; he will be happy to join you. He is not much of a cuddler, but it's so nice to have him near and he has such a sweet presence. If you can get him to play with you, that is also a plus. We are so grateful for this sit as we had lived in the keys for two years and wanted to see it one last time before we go into full-time traveling in other states and countries. It went by too quick, but we hope to sit for Sascha and Marieanne again in the future. Thanks! -Sophia and Shannon
I can't say enough about how wonderful it was house-sitting for Allison! Her home and dogs are a joy. She was also incredibly accommodating, helpful, and pleasant throughout my sit. While it will certainly help if you have experience caring for multiple dogs at once, Allison's dogs are exceedingly well behaved and their needs are easy to handle. I would jump at the chance to care for Allison's dogs and home again any time!
