Our home was just as we'd left it when we returned. That's a very good thing. Very pleasant and trusting relationship

We had the pleasure of taking care of a ridiculously cute and affectionate pup named Tio and two cats, Lupine and Remi, in the Mission District of San Francisco. Kelli and Jason have a beautiful light-filled home that is full of gorgeous furnishings art, housewares and extremely high quality appliances. We had a chance to meet Kelli and Jason and one of their daughters several days ahead of their trip departure; and go through everything in the house and meet the fur family. They are wonderful and welcoming hosts and the communication with them was always clear.

Tio is a wonderful dog (he was 10 months old at the time of our sit) with a playful nature yet he settled down quickly. He is excellent on walks and does well with other dogs and loves to say hello to them and people. He has an affectionate and calm temperament and we loved spending as much time with him as we could. The cats are quite independent; Lupine, who just can't get enough love and snuggles, doesn't use the cat door so she 'asks' to be let in and out which sometimes yielded humorous window-knocking. And Remi, who uses the cat door, is a bit aloof but he eventually came around for us and liked to be pet while eating.

The Mission neighborhood, while gritty, is filled with incredible murals, a vibrant Latino community and culture, and bohemian subculture. It's a mishmash of incredible food (especially taquerias), good yoga schools and artsy boutiques. Kelli and Jason's home is a calm oasis located just a block away from Calle 24, one of the main streets, lined with great murals and restaurants.

We thoroughly enjoyed dropping in like locals in the heart of the Mission with such a cute dog who is so sweet and loving—and well behaved. We are grateful to have had the opportunity to take care of Tio, his cat siblings, and Kelli and Jason's wonderful home.
