I had the absolute pleasure of sitting for Kathy & Russell for the past two weeks … what a truly wonderful sit! We met Kathy, Russell, Bob & Molly 5 days before the sit and were made to feel so welcome. We went through everything that needed to be done while they were away especially around Bob & Molly’s care. When I arrived the morning of their departure it was like meeting up with friends, so warm and inviting. Their gorgeous villa is so comfortable and had everything I could ever need. Even though the house is located in a lovely wee semi-rural community it is an easy 5min commute into Wanganui. Bob & Molly are absolute delights! Bob is the sweetest boy and provided lots of laughs and bedtime cuddles. Molly is a blind senior who is comfortable and confident in her surroundings as long as you allow her to do things in her own time. They walked well together and were happy in the car for adventures further afield at the lake. Communication was good from our first contact until the end of sit. Instructions were clear on needs for both the house and Bob & Molly. I would absolutely recommend sitting for Kathy and Russell and would love to do so again should the opportunity arise. As for Bob & Molly, well those two little darlings will be part of my heart forever. Thank you for a beautiful two weeks!
My boyfriend and I had the pleasure of spending 12 days with Abby in her Alamo home. Abby LOVES her balls. We both took turns playing with her in her big backyard. It's best to have a least 2 balls if you want to play fetch because if there's only 1 ball, she likes to keep it to herself. :) After the gardeners came one day, we found a lot of balls that had been hidden in the tall grass. Abby had a field day playing catch with all of her balls. She sure has a lot energy! The house had everything we needed and was very comfortable. We loved the location since its right by the Danville/Alamo border. For meals, we mostly ate in downtown Danville and occasionally went to Alamo. There are lots of wildlife in the area. There are a lot of squirrels, birds and lizards. A few times while coming home at night from dinner, we spotted deer in the neighborhood. Abby, unfortunately, had an incident with a skunk one night! That was sure a memorable and unique experience, lol! Luckily, they had some skunk odor stuff in the laundry room that we were able to use on her. We also loved that it was right by the Iron Horse Walking trail which is where Abby got most of her daily walks. It's also in walking distance to some trails on the Las Trampas Wilderness Regional Preserve which we took her on a couple times. We enjoyed our time with Abby and would not hesitate to sit for her again.
My husband and I so enjoyed our stay at Orly's home and are so happy for the opportunity to come back for a longer sit in December. She is so incredibly kind and warm, and we really enjoyed chatting with her. The night we came she made us a delicious homemade dinner and made us feel so welcome. Her home is absolutely lovely--spacious, spotless and in a very quiet area, yet you are very close to all sorts of shopping and anything you may need. Luna is absolutely adorable and easy to care for. Being a puppy she has a lot of energy and as long as you give her a few play sessions a day chasing her toys, and at least one 20 minute walk, she will be very chill. Sharing the bed with her is no problem given her small size and that she will sleep totally through the night. She is just so cute and fun. We were so happy for the opportunity to stay here. Orly was truly one of the kindest, warm people we have met.
Lovely sit!
I really enjoyed spending time with Miranda's pups. Such a pleasure and a great peaceful home.
I loved Blu and Tina’s home. It is very welcoming and cute with character. The bed is comfortable and it’s in a great neighborhood. Blu is a cuddle bug hard which is amazing. I would say if you don’t like energetic dogs or aren’t into the active lifestyle and walks then this isn’t a good fit for you. He enjoys being active just as much as the cuddles.
