Bertie was a delight and good company roaming free over the most spectacular countryside on Karen's doorstep. The cottage was cozy, more generous-sized than one might imagine of former bakers' cottages, with a lovely garden - a magic setting in the sunshine. The village was wonderful too: I felt that I had fallen into a film setting with the friendly dog walkers as players. Grab this one if you are fortunate enough to be chosen. Highly recommended.
Charlotte and Dave were very welcome and accomodating. They promptly responded to all questions we had. Elvis and Socks are sweet boys and extremely easy to care for. They love laps and pets. The location is accessible by train but a car would be helpful if you're hoping to visit sights not on the direct train line. Be prepared for a 25 minute walk to and from the train.
Naomi has given us a warm welcome to their beautiful mid century home. She provided us with everything necessary and more. We had detailed instructions, excellent local recommendations, and a cozy home. Bailey and Charlie are affectionate and full of energy pups. They are very well trained and will get lots of compliments on the walks, they are indeed gorgeous dogs! Luna is a tiny cat who has the cutest meow, she loved to cuddle with us in the evenings next to a fire place. We would highly recommend this sit!
For about a week we have looked after majestic lion Mukti in his comfortable Santa Monica house, and we absolutely loved it. The housesitting period was divided in two, so we took over from housesitter Maria. There is something about Mukti that just mesmerized us from the very start. He is absolutely gorgeous with his dense long fur, like a lion! I could seriously look at him all day. He is not shy at all and lets you pet his furry belly right away. You can carry him around like a little baby with no problem at all and wanted to be close to us all the time, the cutest! He was totally in love with Michiel, rubbing his face along Michiels’ beard.. to the point where I almost got jealous 😄 Mukti is living his best cat life in his comfortable house. He loves being outside, and it was such a funny sight when we arrived back at the house to see this big ball of fluff patiently waiting for us at the entrance in the shared garden. The location is perfect, close to the supermarket and easy to walk to the Santa Monica Pier and other nice areas. It was also such a treat to be able to use the beach cruisers to ride the bike lane along the beach, it really added to the perfect Santa Monica experience. Unfortunately we didn’t get to meet Lauren in person, but had a video call where we connected right away and communication was always easy through WhatsApp. Even in this short amount of time Mukti has found a special place in our hearts and we are already missing him dearly. Thank you Lauren, for everything. We do hope to be back one day!
We had a wonderful time in Elsa's apartment in Winterthur. Her cat Filou is an absolutely relaxed and uncomplicated roommate who likes to have his peace - but whom we were allowed to spoil with some brushing sessions. Elsa's apartment is simple, modern and clean. We felt comfortable at any time. Communication with Elsa was transparent, quick and super nice - we received all the information we needed at any time before and during the sit. Even though we unfortunately did not meet Elsa in person, we had a really great contact! If you ever need us again, feel free to contact us - we'd love to come back! Best, Philipp & Anna
It was a pleasure spending the week with Troy. He is an amazing animal, very sweet natured, highly intelligent, and carries on a great conversation. Pam and Ed’s home in such a peaceful setting. We truly enjoyed the sunsets from the pier and walks with Troy around the property.
