Jenny

Jenny has a kind and welcoming spirit and it was very easy to communicate with her. She kept me updated with daily pictures and overviews for my dog and bunnies. My Hiro took to her immediately and we were both amused at how clingy he was - constantly looking for cuddles and wanting to be by her side - as I know him to be. She also took very good care of Hazel and Chester, making sure they were well hydrated with cool water and fresh veggies given the heatwave that was in Geneva during her stay. There was only one issue I found - which might be attributed to miscommunication on my part or a misunderstanding - the bunnies' litter box wasn't changed but it seems new litter was added to the old/soiled bits. Jenny was pretty good at asking questions when she wasn't sure of something, so it might be that she thought she had it right. Either way, it was an altogether great experience and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend her again for future sits.

Imogen & Leo

Imogen and Leo were so great! I didn't actually meet them because the dates I put on the sit meant I had to leave earlier and arrived later (my fault) but they were able to adapt and it didn't phase them. I spoke to Imogen on video WhatsApp before the sit and she was very natural and easy to talk to. They were appreciative and left my house beautifully clean, everything in its place, and were in contact during the whole sit, sending pics of my scaredy cat, Buster, and generally left me with a really positive impression. I wouldn't have any problem having them back if they wanted to visit the area again! I totally recommend them for your sit!

Kerry

Kerry was a great cat sitter. I had read her reviews so already thought she would be a good catch, but once we spoke on the phone I realised she was perfect for our needs. She was nearby so was able to come and meet us early on, which helped me a lot as my trip was rather last-minute. As Moon is an indoor cat who wears a lead outside, I like to be able to go through things in person first, and Kerry was really flexible about that. She also is a lovely person to have a cup of tea and a chat with! Moon fell in love immediately, and she was great with him. I knew that he would enjoy his time with her. While I was away Kerry sent me daily photos and videos as per my request. He was clearly having a great time, which allowed me to relax and have a great time too! I came back to a happy, relaxed cat, who had clearly been cared for and loved. Moon is currently looking out of the window composing love poems for Kerry (he got very attached!). We would have her back in a heartbeat.

Courtney

Courtney was great. Reliable and flexible stepped in the last minute to help and was genuinely enthusiastic to spend time with Milo. More regular updates would be welcome but we had no reason for concern at all. Would recommend and invite to sit again:))

Secil

This was Secil's first sit for us, and she did a great job. It was ony a short break but we came back to two happy, relaxed cats.

Matthias & Melinda

Matthais and Melinda were wonderful Housesitters. They were so communicative and we just loved getting regular updates as to what Eevee was up to- even a few videos! Eevee was well cared for and had plenty of walks while we were away. They were kind enough to pop some laundry on before they left and we came home to a clean and tidy home. Matthais and Melinda would be welcome back any time. Thanks guys!

Do not hesitate to open your doors for this stunning couple. From our first FaceTime (which I would always recommend) I knew how lucky we were to be found by Clare and Nathan. Communication was easy and reliable, they genuinely love their dogs and our brood took to them immediately. Supper together before we left was like being with old friends and great fun. Nevertheless, they are both professionals and our house was spotless on return and the dogs relaxed and on terrific form. In fact, we were very sorry to say goodbye. Some stolen time together before we left and the morning after we returned allowed us the chance to get to know each other, and to hear how they had embraced all that this place has to offer. We just so enjoyed their company never mind the dogs. A wonderful experience.

Emily is a lovely person, fantastic with Sammy and Lola and a pleasure to deal with. Communication was great and my home was looked after beautifully. I would not hesitate to recommend Emily to others and Sammy, Lola and I would be delighted to see her again.

Kayla and her partner were the perfect housesitters! Nova loved them, they gave us a couple of updates but pretty much left us to our honeymoon which was much appreciated! Nicole and Ryan were absolutely wonderful!! I felt totally comfortable with them the entire time. Nicole maintained communication with me for months leading up to the sit, and I got daily updates with pictures (which I loved). They took very good care of the house and it was obvious the dogs had a fantastic time with lots of log walks and good cuddles. I recommend them 100%. Very kind and sweet family all around. I would have them back in a heartbeat. :)

We enjoyed a heart-warming experience spending time with Clover, Pilot, and Dory; in the green, pedestrian-based neighbourhood of Beaverbrook.  Hosts Sandra and Mike are amazing pet parents, who provide a caring environment for their golden retriever and two Newfoundland rescues.  

We loved these three well-trained pets immediately.
As our stay progressed, the dogs gained trust in us, and we had a lot of fun.  

Their home is situated in a connected neighbourhood with many walking paths, parks, and incredible gardens (you can even walk the dogs on the golf course, central to the neighbourhood, after 8 pm).  We enjoyed time walking the pets and meeting a wonderful community of neighbours - every time we went out.

Sandra and Mike are smart, fun, all-round amazing hosts who take top-notch care of their pets, and are welcoming to guests.  We hope to stay in touch and visit when we return to Ottawa.  Don't hesitate to apply for this sit.  

Be warned!  These dogs will steal your heart.  It was very difficult to leave, indeed, as they watched us drive away from the comfort of their front room.
