I had a great stay at Jonathan and Tamara's cozy apartment. It is a nice and safe neighbourghood with a few nice restaurants and grocery stores. Also the metro in to Stockholm Central is only a block away. And let's talk about the cat, Penny! Penny is the most adorable, lovable, kind, social, cuddly and sweet cat you can think of ❤️ We made friends right away, and she especially liked to lay on my chest, purring when watching movies together. Jonathan and Tamara were the nicest hosts. So friendly and welcoming. I highly recommend this sit for everyone.
Susan and James are a very friendly and easy going couple! They invited me to eat with them in order to have time to explain the habits of the dogs and so they can get used to me. They took me around their property and their land explaining all the peculiarities. Roscoe and Ita were very easy to sit. Roscoe always wants to be where you are. Ita is more independent but so adorable. They rarely bark and are not very demanding. I rarely saw the cat except when it was feeding time. The house and the grounds are beautiful with a nice patio to relax and take in some sun, a big garden and flowers everywhere. It's a old house with all the features of a period house but with a kitchen and a bathroom very well renovated. It's a very peaceful place and there are several walking paths right in front of the house where you can go with the dogs. (Try the one who goes to the falls, so beautiful!) The place is a perfect location if you want to visit Montpelier and do different hikes like Spruce Mountain, Owlshead Mountain Trail and White Rock. I wish I can do another sit for them! Already missing Roscoe and Ita!
House-sitting for Jess and Amy over Christmas, was a joy! Miel and Mousse are warm and friendly cats - Miel is very calming - who appreciate lots of cuddles, affection and fun and games!
Since restrictions on travel to France were tightened we were presented with a lot of challenges - but problem solving each leg of the journey became easy and rewarding. I enjoyed playing chase with the laser with Mousse - he always wins! Jess and Amy thankfully were able to give need to know information on what travel pass to buy to which pharmacy can give quickest antigen test - but it's worth saying you must research thoroughly beforehand! Particularly during these difficult times.
Amy and Jess' apartment is really lovely in a really nice part of the area of Île-de-France and homely. It's very well situated, Parc du Sceaux is just a stone's throw away - great if you like running or going for long walks and central Paris is easily commutable. Both Amy and Jess are 100% approachable on anything and kind people. I'm pleased I could turn to them when needed and very pleased it worked out well!
Chelsea & Benji are great hosts and offer a great place to stay. Rocky & Moira are the friendliest, cutest, cuddliest pups and they are so easy and fun to care for.
Loveloveloved my time with sweet Pokie! She such an easy and precious girl. We hung out on the couch, she took me for little walks, helped me cook…we had fun! Laurie and Lester are absolutely delightful and fabulous hosts with a beautiful house and the best back deck (overlooking the golf course) perfect for sitting and drinking your morning coffee or sipping your evening glass of wine. I hope I get a chance to go back and visit!! 🩷
