Sarah
The home is immaculate and well-decorated, especially during the holiday season. The kitchen has all the necessary cookware and great Wi-Fi for remote work. Sarah was always easy to reach. She printed and sent out responsibilities for the petsitting and housesitting and gave clear instructions. They are a very kind and warm couple! Buster (dog) and Wrigley (cat) are straightforward to care for. Buster is the sweetest and goofiest shadow, but, at the same time, he is a good boy who can handle being alone for a bit, which allowed us to grocery shop or check out local restaurants. Wrigley loves pets and is very low maintenance. I would definitely recommend sitting here!

Diane
I loved my cat-sitting experience at Diane's! She was so welcoming and kindly met me at the station. Wolvercote is a beautiful place and she has lovely neighbours. And, of course, Louis was a pleasure to mind. I hope I can cat-sit for Diane again.

Mona
Mark and Mona deeply love their animals and have created a wonderful, relaxing home that you won’t want to leave. Tosha radiates warmth to all those around her and Rascal loves human proximity, touch, and is a literal purr factory. The outdoor space is gorgeous and the fresh eggs were an amazing perk.

Janet & Jonti
When we arrived in Durango, Jonti and Janet picked us up at the airport and immediately made us feel welcome on the 1/2 hour drive to their home. When we arrived at their home, they introduced the pups, Koda and Arlo, who were friendly and welcoming. Jonti and Janet showed us where things were, went over their expectations for the sit and answered any questions we had. Janet made us a wonderful dinner and they both made us feel right at home. Jonti showed us some hiking maps/areas for us to explore and he and Tom actually jammed for a bit with their instruments after dinner.

We had our own bath and bedroom and the home was clean and well kept. There are beautiful views out the back glass walls, along with a deck and a hot tub. Just a short jaunt thru the back yard took you to a mountain trail that the dogs enjoyed for a short walk.

Just 5 miles away was a fantastic area where the pups could be off leash on BLM lands. There were field trails and wooded, mountain trails, and we hiked a different trail each day. We typically spent 1-1/2 to 2 hours on the BLM lands hiking with the pups, very much enjoying the beautiful scenery. This off leash area was where we discovered how well behaved Koda and Arlo are. They never strayed far from us and immediately came back to us when they were called. In fact, Koda typically stayed near the last person in line, making sure all was well.

Durango is a great city to explore, with a river trail for biking/walking/running and a historic downtown area with art galleries, shops and restaurants. Just a short drive from town takes you into the mountains for a scenic drive or trails to hike.

Overall, we can't say enough about how welcomed we were, how sweet the pups were, how great the accommodations were and how fantastic the Durango area is. We highly recommend doing a sit for Jonti and Janet and we would definitely return for another sit.

Lucy
What can I say.... We had such a lovely stay at Lucy & Jakes house with their well behaved Jack Russells, Salty and Snoop. The house was absolutely immaculate, comfortable (especially the bed in the enormous guest room where we stayed), and a joy to mooch around in. We enjoyed playing lots of games of pool, cooking in the fabulous, state of the art kitchen and taking the dogs for lovely walks in the nearby forest and around the beautiful village fields of Brill. Jake and Lucy were excellent to communicate with and made us feel very welcome and even allowed us to stay on an additional night as our next sit was due to start the day after, this was super helpful and we all enjoyed a curry together. We would be more than happy to return to sit if our dates coincide again! Thanks Lucy and Jake
