Everything about this sit was idyllic - warm, welcoming hosts, stunning tranquil home and location with picture-postcard views, 7-star swimming pool, chickens rewarding our care with 2-3 eggs per day and two adorable dogs rewarding us with their love, loyalty and companionship. We felt completely comfortable and supported from our very first online contact with Diana and Geraint and throughout the whole sit. They are wonderful people and so very welcoming. They provided us with a wealth of information before we arrived and it was a delight spending a couple of days with Diana before she left to join Geraint on their travels. She was the perfect hostess, cooking delicious meals, ensuring we were comfortable with all instructions (which were clear and straightforward) and demonstrating for us the daily routines to ensure that we were completely comfortable with everything in their home before entrusting it to us. Diana introduced us to the nearby amenities and advised on the numerous places to explore within a short driving distance. We made good use of the information and took advantage of our time in the region to explore various picturesque villages and enjoy the festivals that took place locally. We were also introduced to their close friend who, like Diana, became an instant friend providing us with support (including them both going above and beyond in assisting us in getting our car issue fixed) and fun companionship on some of our walks. We had open communication whilst they were away and any questions we had were responded to immediately. Zulu and Amba are the most adorable fur-babies. Very trusting, gentle, loving and very appreciative and welcoming of hugs and kisses. They are very easy to care for, requiring just one walk in the mornings and two meals per day (Amba's meds were very easily administered within her food). They enjoyed lounging on the huge, plentiful sofas when not soaking up the sun, lots of cuddles, following us around the garden and pool, or just lazily enjoying the views alongside us. We did have a health issue with Amba, but this was rapidly dealt with by their local, extremely efficient English-speaking vet. We very much enjoyed spending our last evening with both Diana and Geraint, sharing food, drink and conversation and, although we had further travels to enjoy, it was very difficult to say goodbye. It was a privilege to have been care-takers of this truly beautiful home and of the precious pets of Diana and Geraint. An experience that we will remember for a very long time. We would relish the opportunity to return and highly recommend this pet-sit should you have the good fortune to be invited.
