We will try to add something else than what has already been written in the existing reviews! We took care of Peter and Nadia's dogs Archie, Bella (Jack Russel) and Messi (Pomeranian) in a 3 level villa with a swimming pool in the Costa Adeje area. They were great and it was an honor for us! If we had to pass on one important point to other housestitters regarding this location (but the location may change) it would be to be physically fit and have no knee problems :) There are a lot of stairs in the area and daily walking paths require you to climb stairs , by such characteristics of the entire area (up and down). The house also requires walking up 3 levels. For us, it turned out to be a super nice addition, because in a week we sculpted our calves :-) The dogs are adorable and really well trained! If there were any disobediences, the owners helped us keep up with the advice that worked and we continued to spend good time with the dogs. Leading on a walk without a leash but based on voice commands could be a bit of a challenge, but it worked. We didn't take the dogs for long walks in our rented car (e.g. to the beach), but it seems to us that perhaps there were no accessories that could be required in Spain, and we wanted to minimize any possible conversations with the police. The dogs have bluetooth trackers that record steps and walk routes in the online application, so you should have a phone with internet (roaming), but thanks to this, owners do not have to ask if they went for a walk today :-) Generally, we would like to have such great dogs ourselves! Regarding the home, depending on one's own preferences, we may suggest other sitters ask about the operation of surveillance cameras and monitoring devices, if this topic is not mentioned in the initial interviews or meeting (where are they, is the recording available online, etc.) . For example, the Jacuzzi camera surprised us, but on the other hand, it is an external part of the house, so it complies with the rules of TH. With every villa some exteriors around the house are for daily living so I guess it's just good to know if it isn't obvious to you. There is a good Internet connection if you need to work remotely and a very good wifi network throughout the house. Workation will be done successfully! For users who have no experience with villas, I will point out that people from the service may appear and it is good manners to replace the owners at their reception (gardeners, pool cleaning, repairs, etc.), but you will be warned about each such visit. We can mention that in winter the weather is changeable and you can hit the time of strong winds or sandy winds from the Sahara. It's always a lottery, but usually you can enjoy a great sunny time, which allows people from inland and cold parts of Europe to recharge their batteries :-) Thank you for everything and hope to see you again!
