We had a short stay with Hondo, Zig and Zag but had a lovely weekend. Jude was super organised so we were 100% ready for the sit. We would come back again anytime and recommend to anyone considering.
Honor and J's warm hospitality and concise guidance was second to none, exemplified extremely well by the fact that during the period of time we were sitting for Snoopy--the most handsome dog of all the dogs we have encountered so far (no small feat, I might add 😏)--they were kind enough to allow my own mother to stay during Mother's Day(!), which, quite simply, helped make our sit one of the most memorable to date since we joined Trusted Housesitters in January. Set in a calm, quiet, and picturesque part of the south tip of The Cotswolds, the house is everything one could ever need: comfortable, characterful, and home to one of the nicest garden views we've ever come across--we miss the horses, deer, and pheasants already! With walking trails and sightseeing opportunities right on the doorstep (the Ancient Roman city of Bath, and the chocolate box village of Castle Combe to name but two very worthwhile excursions), either side of popping into local farm shops or country pubs, the options to see some of the best Great Britain has to offer are truly endless. As for Snoopy himself, he is an absolute delight and most definitely stole the show--and attention--of us all. Although slightly wary of us at first, in a short space of time he warmed up to us completely; he loves his walks on the back fields, is happy to travel in the car, loves being loved, and makes no fuss at nighttime. In terms of the ideal dog, he is the perfect combination, all we could ask for, and, by the end of our stay, we were very sad to say goodbye to both him, and the house. We certainly hope we can cross paths with Honor and J's stunning Snoopy again sometime in the future, and if we do, don't worry, we'll be sure to ring the doorbell........ 😉
This was our second sit looking after the characterful LEO SUNSHINE. Who really loves his cuddles and particularly his pats.... he knows his routine... and exactly where his dreamy biscuits are as he so eleoquently reminded us? As previously all went. Jules kindly left us some foodie bits and suggested we help ourselves to the plums off the tree which were delicious. The house is very comfortable and conveniently situated within walking distance of The lively Knutsford Town. Also TATTON PARK , TABLEY HALL ,FALCON EXHIBITION and many other pretty Cheshire villages. We want to thank Jules for choosing us to look after LEO and would stay again should our calenders marry up.
We had a chance to meet Jenny before she left for the weekend. She gave us clear instructions on how to fit Willie’s leg brace and a tour. Jenny is Lovely and her home is clean and comfortable. Willie is a big sweetheart, loves his short walks and his treats! Don’t hesitate if you get the chance to sit for Willie.
I had a wonderful sit with Dinah's sweet cats in her lovely flat in a perfect location in central Vienna. She welcomed me warmly and showed me around, explained everything in detail and left a good information sheet for reference. The flat is so pleasant and peaceful, as are the cats, even if we had different views on the ideal time for wake-up rituals. They are so adorable that it's impossible to hold it against them! I highly recommend this sit and would definitely return whenever circumstances allow!
Can't believe I forgot to write a note for Chris and Molly here, especially because they are amazing! I sat for them twice in their wonderful home, during which I got to spend time with their lovely furry family. Jon is a very cool customer, but can be extremely affectionate with just the right balance of distance and playtime (plus a few treats...). Lucy is the absolute greatest pup who will curl up with you at all times, and her walks were always an adventure in exploration. Chris and Molly provided extensive information about the animals and house, were readily available for any issues, and were incredibly kind and friendly. (Even when I accidentally mucked up the date they were expected back!) I adored looking after Jon and Lucy, who are worth more than their weight in shedded fur :)
