Lynne
This was my first house sit and I must say it was an awesome experience. Lynne provided a very detailed handout for her pets and house. The handout was so helpful and I referred to it frequently over my stay. I just took care of Penelope, the cat. She is very sweet for a frail, geriatric feline. She required medications twice a day and feedings throughout the day. Kitty litter cleaning was easy, peasy. Lynne's home is gorgeous and spotless. I loved the lake view. One day I even saw a Herron on the dock. The Lexington, SC area has all the stores/groceries that you need. I rode my bike at Saluda Shores and a Rails to Trails in Prosperity. I went to the Columbia Museum of Art that is about 30 minutes from Lexington. Overall it was a wonderful first time cat and house sitting experience for me. I highly recommend this sit!

KOLBY
Where do I even start? From the very beginning, Tom and Kolby were incredibly warm, welcoming, and hospitable. Their kindness radiates! Tom was kind enough to pick me up from the ferry terminal a few days before my sit and I was welcomed with open arms to settle in and make myself at home. Dublin was an absolute joy to hang out with; he’s got to be the cuddliest, sweetest, most playful pup I’ve sat for. Everyone in the neighborhood knew him and was always happy to see him, and when we ventured into Bainbridge together, everyone that walked past us just couldn’t resist saying hi to this happy boy. We quickly bonded and wherever I went, he was never far behind! Zeno is such a sweet, affectionate boy if given the chance to have some of your attention. With the cutest meow and the spunkiest personality, you’ll find him either curled up in one of his special spots around the house, or begging you to let him go outside already! Tom and Kolby’s home…. Just wow. On top of having every amenity you could dream of, the VIEWS! The views were incredible! I often just stood in the dining area wondering how that kind of environment is even real! I wouldn’t even think twice about sitting here again, it’s a no brainer! Thank you Tom and Kolby for being the most wonderful hosts, and I hope to see you, Dublin, and Zeno again in the future 😊

Lyn
Lyn and David were very welcoming, super helpful and gave us clear instructions to follow. We arrived a few days early so we could be shown around and they made us a (delicious) tea/dinner and made us feel right at home (Lyn even picked us up from the train station).

Sophie and Ozzy are the sweetest dogs and very well-behaved. They didn't hesitate to notion to us what they needed (in Ozzy's case many cuddles). On walks they were terrific and Sophie shows you the way if ever you get a little lost.

Balerno is a cute little village with everything you could need and Edinburgh is a bus ride away making the location perfect. Near the house there are plenty of beautiful walks to take the dogs to. The house is very well kept and we stayed in the beautiful guest room with our own on-suite bathroom. Luckily it was warm during our stay and we got to spend a lot of our time in the garden throwing balls for Sophie.

Overall this has been an amazing sit and would not hesitate to sit for them again. We would highly recommend it!
