We spent a wonderful two weeks in Missouri: taking care of cute kitties, kayaking on the river, visiting St. Louis, and more! Abigail and Scott gave us a warm welcome and made us feel at home right away. The house is so peaceful and cozy, surrounded by greenery and right next to the Meramec River (with a nice overlook just a 2-minute walk away). There are all kinds of birds to watch and listen to, and there were lightning bugs everywhere! The kitties were so friendly, such great company, and quite snuggly in the evenings. The house sits at the end of a cul-de-sac with 2 neighbors, both very kind and friendly (one of whom is Abigail's mother-in-law). We greatly enjoyed our interactions with them, they are fascinating people! Abigail's communication was helpful, quick, and thorough. We would highly recommend this sit, and we would love to make it back someday. Thank you!
House/petsitting for Millie was nothing but a treat! Her pets are just wonderful. Mouse is one of the most polite and elegant cats I have ever met. I do not think biting or scratching even exists in her DNA and I especially loved her purring on my lap every evening. Bear is a bundle of joy. She is very easy to walk - she does not pull on the leach and is not easily distracted by people or other dogs. She is also so small that she can be picked up and carried when stepping into public transport. I had a few children pet her and she did not seem to mind. She is very patient and tolerant. I also enjoyed the continuous flow of people talking about how adorable she looks. They are not wrong. :) Millies house is so nicely situated by the beach, and I had a wonderful time walking Bear along the seafront. It was therapeutic and calming. As a bonus, Millie also has very friendly neighbours and a super comfortable mattress with Bear and Mouse sleeping beside you if allowed. It was super comfortable and I slept like a log.
We loved staying in their home with Cashew & Pluto. Their home is really nice and tidy, located close to the train station and motorway. Higly recommended! Thanks again! 😁
We had a lovely August Bank Holiday weekend looking after Tim and the sheep and relaxing in Vic and Serena's comfortable and characterful home. Vic and Serena are very hospitable and thoughtful homeowners, showing us where everything was and making us feel welcome when we arrived the afternoon before their departure. Our bedroom was spacious and sunny, with a beautiful view over the back garden. Tim was a pleasure to look after - a very well behaved boy who never tired of chasing his tennis balls and even goes for a swim in the outside bathtub on command.
Rachel and Tim are fabulous, as is their home, which is conveniently located to the main strip in Takoma as well as the Metro. Chairman Meow and Monty are AMAZING-- both very affectionate, quirky, and fun, excellent company! The lawn and plant watering takes about 15 minutes in the morning and evening if there's no rain, which is a pretty easy commitment, and Rachel left helpful, detailed instructions on all responsibilities. Communication was excellent and I had a very lovely, easy stay. Highly recommended!
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and looking after Maisie! Maisie is a very affectionate and cuddly cat! With her being a bit older she does sleep a lot but is more than happy to accept pats while she sleeps or if she really feels like it she will sit on your lap too! She is really fond of her little fur ball treats as well - the smell of those would wake her up in an instant! Alice, James and their children are all incredibly lovely and they have a really beautiful home that is equipped with everything you could need and more! The location is also ideal, really close to public transport links, small supermarkets and there are lots of cafes and restaurants nearby too! Alice had exceptional communication which made our stay really easy! We would highly recommend this housesit/pet sit!
