We entrusted Short Legs Dog Care to look after our Cavapoo Freddie on our wedding day and we were delighted with the entire service. Both Chris and Trish were lovely people and meticulous in their approach. On the day, Freddie warmed to Trish instantly - the freshly prepared roast chicken and promise of multiple walkies was never going to fail! Trish was punctual yet flexible and was very relaxed in meeting our needs to ensure we could enjoy our wedding to the maximum without any unnecessary worry. We cannot thank Chris from Short Legs Dog Care enough for the exceptional care she provided for our dogs, Pippin and Gruff, on our wedding day. Pippin and Gruff aren't usually fond of new people, but Chris is truly a dog whisperer. They quickly became best friends, which put us at ease knowing our fur babies were in such capable hands. Chris went above and beyond, helping us include Pippin and Gruff in our ceremony. Despite an unexpected downpour that disrupted our schedule, Chris ensured the dogs were brought down for photos at the reception, capturing beautiful moments we will cherish forever. Her professionalism, kindness, and genuine love for dogs made a significant impact on our special day. Trish looked after our Cockapoo, Otis, throughout our wedding day. She was wonderful with him. He can be a little nervy and awkward but she took great care with him, did exactly what we asked and Otis had a new best friend by the end of the day. He even met up with Chris and another dog from a different wedding and just had the best time. Trish brought Otis along to our ceremony to be the ring bearer and to join in the wedding photos. She then took him back to our hotel that evening, made sure he was fed and settled. He was so happy and safe. It was totally perfect. We can't thank Trish and Chris enough. Joe & Jo xx

We cannot express how grateful we are to Chris for looking after Poppy on our big day. We couldn't have asked for anyone better. Chris was excellent from start to finish; pre-communication was great, we were fully informed of the process and pricing from the start, and Chris kindly arranged to meet Poppy beforehand to make sure we were comfortable with everything. On the day itself, Chris generously picked Poppy up from a family home and later took her to the venue, which took the transport hassle away from us (she also dropped Poppy back off after the wedding)! During the ceremony, Chris seamlessly blended in with the guests and made the entire experience totally stress free for us! Everyone loved having Poppy there, which wouldn't have been possible without you Chris, so THANK YOU! We wholeheartedly recommend Short Legs to anyone looking for a dog chaperone for their wedding. I couldn’t have asked for a better chaperone for my sometimes sassy / sometimes nervy Italian Greyhound. Chris had everything covered and was the calmest energy for both me (the Bride!) and Neddy the dog. From pick up, to the service, to the drop off the following day, Chris was the ultimate professional and Ned simply adored her. Chris looked after two of our dogs at the Matara Centre last month for our wedding. She was great every step of the way, from organising and communicating before the wedding about the various needs of our dogs and our expectations to how well she worked with Matara and our Photographer Lee Hawley. We couldn't have made a better decision choosing Chris to look after our dogs, she kept them relaxed and reacted to their needs which gave us one less issue to worry about on our big day! Would most definitely recommend her services!

Chris is wonderful and I would highly recommend booking her! We asked Chris to look after our dog at home during our wedding day, and then pop over with them for photos in the afternoon. She was amazing throughout, great communication beforehand and so lovely too. She did an amazing job in making our dog (and us) feel relaxed and comfortable, and we could tell they'd had a lovely day together! Chris is a real pro; she is trustworthy, considerate, patient, and truly loves what she does. Thank you so much for everything Chris, it was such a special moment to be able to have wedding photos with our little fur baby and it wouldn't have been possible without you.

We can’t thanks Chris enough for looking after our Milo on our big day. It was amazing to have him there with us and having Chris took the stress away for us and our guests. Communication was fab as Chris was always responsive. Milo also spent the night with Chris to allow us the freedom to enjoy the whole wedding! Updated: July 13th 2023 For several years now the team at My Best Friend Dog Care have helped us out when our daughter's dog,Huxley, our furry grandson comes to stay. They always manage to fit him in. Even at short notice. Today it was Lauren who has done an excellent job. As well as him looking great, he also always seems to enjoy the experience. We really can't recommend this place more highly. Thanks to all the staff who provide such a friendly and professional service. Updated: December 2022 This is a superb dog groomers. At very short notice they were able to accommodate a grooming for the dog of a family member. The dog was staying with us for a few weeks. The dog loved it and looked really tidy. We will certainly use this place again in the future, when our doggy guest is with us 🐶 Indeed we have returned : Once again Clara provided a superb grooming for our guest dog. Indeed his next visit is already booked. It is reassuring to know that such a professional service is available close by. As 2022 draws to a close, yet again our visiting dog has managed to secure several visits to Clara and her team, during his stays with us. Each time he returns looking and smelling great. He is also full of vim and vigour when we collect him.

I have used My Best Friend Dog Care for both grooming and for boarding and can't recommend the service I have received highly enough. My elderly (and quite smelly) dog always comes away looking and smelling lovely from his grooming sessions. When I needed to use Jon and Clara's boarding services they took great care to match their carer with my dog's needs and I wouldn't hesitate to use this service again. I can't think of one thing I would change about the experiences we have had over the last two years and I would highly recommend MBFC to any dog owner.

Highly recommend , Jon has found some brilliant carers to have our dogs when we are away , they have always been well looked after and have had a great time , Put your trust in Jon if you are looking for dog boarding when you are away , he will match you and your dogs to the right people. Always professional with booking the dogs in to meeting the carers and sending out invoices. Highly recommend My Best Friend Dog Care. Left our 9 month old Golden Retriever with Jon and Clara for the day and I couldn't be happier. Penny was well looked after and came home one happy pup. Lovely large garden so they can roam around freely, long walks and the online booking system is great.

We have always used My Best Friend for all of our dogs and have never once been disappointed in the care and service they have demonstrated. Jon and his team are fantastic, trustworthy and very reliable. They go above and beyond just caring for our dogs. All of our dogs have been extremely well cared for, loved and fussed over just like we have never been away. If you are considering going away and are worried about leaving behind your dog I would without shadow of a doubt always reccomend My Best Friend. You will not be disappointed and we would not use anyone else.

Absolutely fantastic team that look after pixie. So nervous 4 years ago when I first took her but now she loves going there. They are all so friendly and always smiling. Highly recommend this place.

My puppy loves going to Jon and Clara twice a week, I think it's the highlight for him! He jumps out of the car, tail wagging, and pulls all the way to the gate! He has the opportunity to go for walks off lead as well as access to the garden all day and a nice sleeping area if he is tired (which is hardly ever!) I would highly recommend this service!

Poppy was welcomed by Jon And went off happily with him . I received a text that evening to say she was settled and doing fine. When we picked her up after four days she was happy and tailwagging. I would have no hesitation in recommending my best friend to anyone And would definitely leave poppy again
