Sally and Geoff's second sit for us of the summer and because they know us, our house and (most importantly) our dogs so well now it felt rather like welcoming them home. They seem to have a few favourite places in Richmond now so we were treated to photos of Maximus and Enzo out and about, enjoying life, being treated like little princes and (almost) forgetting that we even exist. For us, the peace of mind is priceless and we couldn't recommend Sally and Geoff more highly. So thanks to them again for looking after our boys so well - and also for the clean house and lovely quiche - and we'll hopefully catch up another time in the not too distant future.

Laura was a great house sitter and looked after our pets and home well. She kept in contact with us prior to the house sit and arrived well ahead of our arranged time. She was warm and friendly and we felt we were in safe hands when we met her. She kept us updated with news of our pets. Unfortunately she had to leave earlier than planned due to a family emergency. Despite the emergency she waited until we made alternate arrangements for our pets and dropped off our dog at a boarding kennel and spoke to our neighbour to make sure our cat would be looked after and only left when this was all sorted. She had left the home clean and tidy. We would happily recommend Laura as a house sitter.

What a delightful couple!. The perfect pet sitters! Nothing phased them - even the biblical rain storm and the resultant leaks! Our dogs were very happy and basked in more attention than they could have expected from us. They kept the house beautifully clean and we would love to have them sit for Poppy and Paco again - in drier weather perhaps when they could get out and actually explore.

I was very happy to have found Gary to look after my dog. He was such an amiable chap, and I felt at ease with him straight away. I saw how happy my dog was to see him when we walked in the door. Gary was very communicative and kept me posted with updates and photos of my dog. The only thing he could improve on is to ensure the basics like milk and butter are there in the fridge to cover breakfast for a late returning owner. I should have requested that and I know Gary would have obliged. I was very pleased that Gary spent most of his time at the house, as he was writing a book, so Walter, my dog, wasn't often left alone. Gary was good company, considerate and a very nice sitter.

Kim was a wonderful sitter for my timid cat, Allie. She has a magic touch with animals that allowed me to relax and not worry during my vacation, knowing that Allie was being well cared-for, and that she was out from under the bed! Kim took great care of my apartment, too, and she was thoughtful with her daily communication and pictures. I will welcome her back anytime!

From the beginning, communication was excellent and after an initial video chat, they set up a WhatsApp Group so we could ask and answer questions ahead of the actual sit.

At our request, Javier and Carlos arrived the night before we left so we could go through the details of our Welcome Guide. We knew immediately, our boys were in good hands because they were keen to note all the details of our pets' care.

While we were away we were updated regularly which ensured that everything went smoothly. Timings on our part meant that we didn't do a physical hand over on our return but everything was perfect and the dogs and cats had clearly been very well cared for. 

Special note: Bertie, our Labrador, is 18 months old and can be a little demanding. Javier and Carlos went above and beyond to ensure that he was exercised and played with so we returned to a very calm and happy young dog.

We have no hesitation in recommending both Javier and Carlos and we really hope they will come back to see us and to sit our 'boys' very soon.

We could not have found a more caring, reliable, precise couple. They were right on time, they had the highest regard for our two dogs, what they needed, where they walked, what they ate. They came prepared with their own food & drinks. Our dogs loved Chris & Christine immediately and as we drove away, Chris & Christine walked the dogs out of our driveway without the dogs even looking back. Upon return, our house was as clean as when we left, the sheets & towels were washed & there was no trace of them being there. They are outstanding sitters, you would be lucky to be able to have them care for your pets. I highly recommend Chris & Christine Lake.
