Danny and I have just returned from York after house-sitting for Jester and Summer and their pet parents Melissa and Allan. It was a real pleasure to look after Jester and Summer, two lovely natured cats. Summer is adorable and affectionate and took to us immediately. Jester took a little time to come around, but when he did he was equally affectionate and was always curious to discover what was going on. Both cats spent a great deal of their time outside, and Summer, when she was in, could be found sitting on our laps purring loudly. Both were very easy to look after and were good eaters and soon let us know when it was meal time! Jester and Summer live in a terraced home, on a main through road, in the northern part of York. It has a large sun trap rear garden where birds and squirrels frequented. The house is very close to some local shops and a cafe, and is a 5 minute walk to the No 6 bus stop that has a frequent service into central York. It is also possible to walk into the centre of York in about 20 minutes. York is a hugely important and historical city with much to see and do and we enjoyed getting around and visiting some of the sites. Most of the large stores are in the city and there are lots of independent shops, cafes, and restaurants. Melissa and Allan made us feel welcome when we arrived for our sit and showed us around their home. We communicated with Melissa before our arrival via WhatsApp and kept her updated daily with short messages and photos of Jester and Summer. We really enjoyed looking after Jester and Summer and will miss them. We are very happy to recommend this sit to those that like to look after cats and stay close to a wonderful historic city.
I was lucky to take care of Campbell 6 days. A beautiful, calm and very independent cat. Shelley made my stay in his apartment very pleasant and easy for me. Thanks Shelley for giving me the opportunity to have my first experience in this community!
Two charming cats, and a delightful cottage in the woods. This was a wonderful sit. Stephanie and Kristi are generous hosts. I had a great time with Moses and Fox.
We recently spent an incredible 6 weeks at Ryan and Emily's apartment in Vietnam, caring for their lovely cats – Yuzu and Mochi. I want to share our delight in this review! We knew we were in for something special when we stepped into their cozy apartment. Ryan and Emily provided detailed care instructions, making our time with the cats carefree and comfortable. They showed attention, always available to help and answer any questions. This added confidence, allowing us to relax and enjoy our time with Yuzu and Mochi. The apartment provided by Ryan and Emily was so cozy that we felt right at home. Cleanliness and comfort were top-notch, enabling us to fully immerse ourselves in taking care of our new furry friends. Yuzu and Mochi are truly adorable kitties! Their personalities and shenanigans were so vibrant and diverse that we instantly fell in love with them. They were well-behaved and playful, and we happily spent hours playing and cuddling with them. The feeling of them accepting us as part of their family brought us a lot of joy. Our days in Hanoi with Yuzu and Mochi were filled with tenderness, laughter, and fun. This experience has left a deep impression in our hearts, and we are grateful to Ryan and Emily for the trust and the opportunity to take care of their beautiful cats.
I enjoyed my stay here. Atlas is a hilarious Jack Russell that will keep you laughing. He has tons of energy and will give you pitchers arm if he is in sight of a ball. He gets along great with other dogs and loves the park. He’s easy to take care of. The location is great, easy to walk or bus to. Plenty of restaurants and grocery options. You don’t need a car to stay here. I had a blast. Highly recommend.
Be prepared to be licked! : ) I have to say that I really like it when someone really knows their animals, which Traci does. She described their personalities and behaviors just perfect - Archie, Rocco and the lovely Queen Zsa Zsa. I felt like I was in a Pixar movie with these three truly characters! The boys are full of energy, funny, love your attention and to give it in return, especially by following you. Archie's zoomies are joy and watching the dynamic between these brothers of who is Alpha in the moment to how they play is a hoot. Now the lovely Miss Zsa Zsa Cupcake Choo Choo Train has a special place with me. I learned she was once a feral cat and .... just wow. She is so sweet, loving and patient - like I've known NON feral cats that are LESS sweet. She is most patient with the dogs who are determined to lick her to death every time she comes in. While I feel for her and try to back them off, it is kinda cute to see her move aside gently, trying to dodge the kisses. Again - real live Pixar characters! I never once heard her hiss at them. We had our own thing, communication, and she slept with me every night. Boy does she have a great face for kissing and smushing. Now the humans ..... well they a'ight as well : ) - but seriously, they are good peoples and made me feel at home. Brian was gracious in getting me an Uber to and from their house, while Traci was so warm and funny from the get-go. She also welcomed me with a thoughtful treat basket by my bed. I enjoyed getting to know her when the chance arose and appreciate her sense of humor, which was actually refreshing for a sit! I was (and am) grateful that Traci chose me as I know she can easily get numerous applicants being in SoCal. I would be happy and grateful to return should I be given the opportunity.
