A wonderful sit in picturesque Burgdorf! Toby and Lucy are very sweet natured animals, with distinctly lovable personalities. Lucy is largely independent, popping in for a mid morning stroke and her dinner in the evening - otherwise she’s off adventuring the neighbourhood and very low maintenance. Toby is doting and keen to go wherever you’re headed. We spent our evenings cuddled up with him on the sofa, and on the days we ventured out and about he was more than happy to come with us (and very good in the car and on the lead). Both animals get on really well together. The Sadowski’s home is clean and comfortable, and we had access to all we needed, including the generous selection of Swiss foods Kathryn had very kindly picked up for us. Communication was excellent throughout and we would not hesitate to look after Toby and Lucy again. Thanks again Kathryn and family!
I loved caring for Amber’s cats and staying in her beautiful home in Milan. I highly recommend this sit. Amber was a great host and made sure that I had everything I needed. Her cats were super cute and cuddly, great company!
I and Hannah took care of Leo in Rome and also Khaled was very nice enough to let us stay for a few more nights. 🙏 Leo is very energetic and playful. It was very fun for us to take care of him and we took him for long walks 😊 Highly recommended!
Urlike and Joe were awesome people and very interesting and informative. We had great instruction as to the house, dogs and bird. Chalupa was the cutest little boy and tried so hard to keep up with his brothers. Which kept us amused the entire time. O’Malley had his own little personality and certainly loved treats and eating. Peanut was a lover and always took care of his brothers, although he wasn’t feeling well he was such a trooper. About bird, he sure was crazy. We had issues handling him. He was biting me and I’m sure it was because he missed his mom and dad. Please make sure you know what you’re doing with birds before you handle this crazy bird as he can be a handful. The home itself was in a wonderful location, easy access by bus to the beach or to downtown. All in all it was a great sit, and we had a lot of fun with the pets.

We left out intact GSD with the owner of Pine Bush over a three day period and were very pleased. Our dog was received in an orderly fashion and pick up times, were accurate. Pleased he had an outside run. Our canine back from his first experience happy and clean.

When you walk in you can tell he loves animals. I know when my 2 dogs are there, they are looked after. They have a warm or cool place to stay depending on the season. You can never expect someone to care for your pets like you do, however it is nice knowing they are taken care of and better than some of the in home sitters we have had.
This place is passable, but I would not choose it if I had another option. The main reasons we boarded our dogs here were: 1) it accepts intact dogs, and 2) doesn't require a trial board (although, I do understand the objective of these policies). A couple concerning things happened after we picked them up from their 2-night stay. One dog peed for almost a full minute, very yellow, after leaving the place at just 9am. The other dog drank a full bowl of water when arriving home. Could have been their own fault but weird nonetheless. The man in charge seems nice and easy going. The kennel is very similar to a dog shelter I volunteer at. Overall it looks old and dingy inside. The kennel area did not smell and seemed clean. Each dog is separated by a 4-ft concrete wall with chain link extending another 2 ft. The floors are heated concrete. They rigged some sliding doggie doors on pull strings at the back of each kennel that allow the dogs to go out to a small chain link area where they can defecate. We were told that these doors are left open when it's over 40°, otherwise they are only open for 15 mins a few times a day. There are no family-size kennels where multiple dogs can stay together (aside from tiny breeds). This was a huge detractor for us because our dogs were probably a lot more stressed not being together. Lastly, the prices are reasonable at $20-$30/night per dog, depending on the weight, plus minimal fees. We normally pay $43/night at another place far away that is updated with lots of staff, large rooms, comfy dog furniture and web cameras.
Great customer service, was able to get help quickly during an unfortunate situation where the kennel I had lined up closed overnight with no warning to clients. Very helpful and understanding.
I called to try and make arrangements for my puppy while in the process of moving and the man on the phone told me he’s trying to run a business not a charity all because I couldn’t give him an exact time. He was rude with an attitude and making unnecessary comments. After saying my puppy would be 25 dollars a day he makes a comment like that. They’re not getting my money.
My husband and I boarded our dogs here for a short weekend. When my husband picked them up, he was horrified to find that the towels we left for them were completely soaked in cold urine, a toy covered in something disgusting, and both approached my husband as if in utter fear. It was clearly evident that they were neglected during the weekend. The owner threw away our food containers saying “I threw out the little Chinese ones but left you the good ones.” We will not be coming back and advise others to proceed with caution.

What a wonderful place to board your dog. Christy is wonderful with the dogs especially if you have a shy little boy like we do. The kennels are immaculate & along with the great care allows us to enjoy our vacations knowing our pup is safe & in great hands. Would definitely recommend.
Christy is the real dog whisperer. She got my crazy dog to calm down, and be more social with people. She also kept my anxiety down by not having to worry about Colt knowing he was in good hands and a clean safe environment. 5 stars isn't enough. Thank you.
This is my go to kennel when I travel. Christy is very responsive, kind, accommodating and wonderful with dogs of all kinds with all needs. She loves my nervous dog and he loves her. I feel so much more comfortable leaving home when he is in Christy’s loving care.
I filled out the information online to book our dogs for boarding. I received a curt iPhone message backing saying, " sorry, I have no room, thanks for checking". Extremely unprofessional.
New owners Christy and Jeff are fantastic! They are obviously 100% dog lover people! We instantly got a great vibe during our initial visit before booking our dog to stay. It is very clean and they have installed a new fence. Our old lab is very happy there. Lots of walks and play time. Christy is a photographer and takes a lot of photos of the dogs. Highly recommend TLC and am fortunate they are nearby on a beautiful spacious property with a perfect set up indoors and outdoors for all dogs. They are wonderful people who will love your dog while you are away, no doubt about it!
Amazing experience. I did a bath and photo package and was so happy with the service I booked an extended weekend stay for my 2 rotties. First boarding experience with leaving them and the smiles on their faces said it all. Both medical dogs well taken care of with their needs met. Clean, safe environment with attentive owners taking care of them!!! Definitely will be using again!
My husband and I have boarded our dogs here twice now and I don’t think we’ll take them anywhere else. Christy is such a kind and wonderful person. She only takes on as much as she can handle and gives the dogs such wonderful care and attention. My boys aren’t great with other dogs and sometimes not even with each other. That doesn’t stop Christy though. She keeps them in separate but adjacent runs so that they’re comfortable, but safe. Also, part of why we love TLC is that she doesn’t force any dog to dog interaction which is exactly what my boys need. I have such peace of mind knowing that they are happy, safe and well-cared for. Her prices are also reasonable and the property is immaculate. We left the dogs for 9 nights last week, the longest we’ve ever been away and either of them have boarded anywhere. It was so wonderful to see photos of them posted on their FB page and have that extra reassurance that they were happy. Thank you so much for Christy for all that you do.
Best Ever care for daily or more! Dogs ALWAYS their priority...walked and interacted with several times a day!! We don’t call it a kennel; as the atmosphere and love is more like dropping our pup off at a family members home!! Our pup gets all excited when turn onto their road!! Not driveway - actually their road Sir Riley, is treated like royalty and so happy to be at TLC We actually bring him for more of a doggie play day - just so he can socialize with other dogs as he misses his big brother who passed. Kuhl's is the best kennel we have ever used. Emma always comes home happy and well cared for. The place is clean and spacious. We live almost an hour away but it's so worth the drive because we are able to relax when we leave her. We highly recommend Kuhl's Kennels.
This review is long over due. I've been boarding my dog here for years before the current owners took over. I'm sooo glad they had an opening when I needed it. They are legit the most genuinely awesome people ever and there was not an ounce of worry in me that my dog would be well taken care of. I shot them a text to just check in and they sent me one of the happiest pics of my dog. She was so happy when we picked her up and I knew she had a ton of walks because she literally slept for two days after we got home lol. Thank you again for taking such great care of Teka!!
Candace is a gem! She cares about my dog as much as I do. Sending daily updates, photos and being punctual to take care of my 4 legged child while I work. We would be lost with out her. Working as much as I do, it helps me feel less guilty knowing Mo is in good hands. Having someone daily come into your house that you can trust is hard to find & I am so grateful for her!
We love Candace! She's sat for us a couple of times, now. Other than family, she is the only one that I would leave my pup with. We're retired and rarely travel w/out our dog. Prior to hiring her, she came to our home and met with us. It was immediately obvious that she has a special way with pets. During our first away, we were understandably nervous. Candace was wonderful! She was understanding of our concern and sent multiple pics and messages during her stay. Our most recent trip was quite a bit longer and we were able to totally enjoy ourselves knowing that Piper was was well cared for and loved. Each time we return from a trip, our pup is happy to see us but I swear she looks for Candace, also! Candace has proven herself to be reliable, trustworthy, and kind. I would, and have, highly recommended her to anyone who has pets.

Paws Inn has been great providing day visits and walking sessions to help me balance work and life with my new puppy. Candace is able to work around my schedule, and always provides updates and pictures of how the visit went.
Candice is the only person I trust with my dog. She has stayed with her for as long as a week in my house to make sure she is loved and feels safe while I’m away and her routine doesn’t get interrupted. She has so much experience with animals and you can tell she really loves them. Like I said there is absolutely no one I would trust outside of my family to take care of my pup, except for Candice.

Candace took care of my Pup Raider like she was one of her own. Had 0 worries or concerns when I went out of town and she took care of him. He was one happy pup when I came to get him and he almost didn't wanna come back with me. All in all a great experience and I'm sure I'll be using her again to watch my dog, heck I even trust her to watch my kid

I was nervous about finding a kennel like the one we used on Maryland’s Eastern Shore, a kennel where I could leave my dog and relax knowing he was well cared for no matter how long I was away. After visiting a few here near Albany , I found Burnt Hills Boarding Kennels. Kevin and Jeanine could not be more kind and pleasant! They have been wonderful to our 14 yr old rescue pup. He loves it there and we could not be happier !!!

A family run operation, Kevin cares for my dogs like I would. I feel comfortable and confident dropping my 2 Goldens off first thing in the morning, knowing they will get a day of fun and play. Doggie day care rates are more than reasonable at $20 per day per dog plus tax. Kevin also spent extra time on our first day, meeting my guys and listening to our story AND he spent extra time with us on obedience. I love that BHK is local and friendly and I highly recommend boarding your pup here.

The owners are wonderful. Very accommodating with drop off and pick up times. kennel was very clean and prices are the best I've seen around. They don't charge you hidden fees like the other kennels in the area. I highly recommend.

Tamatha is wonderful. She took the time to understand our pets and their needs before we went away. Then she kept us up to date throughout our trip and sent photos. It always helps when you know your pets are in good hands when you’re away.
We hired Tamatha for a cat sitting job for about 10 days. She was fantastic, very professional, a great communicator and checked in with us every day via text for pet updates. She even came out for an extra day when we realized our flight was landing close to midnight and the cats would essentially be alone for another whole day. We highly recommend her services!
Tamatha is amazing at what she does! With two senior cats it is getting harder and harder to leave them for our family vacations and Tamatha takes the stress levels away! Tamatha was wonderful with our standard poodle puppy and cockatiel parrot while we stayed at the hospital to deliver our baby. Tamatha cared for our 4 cats, including one diabetic cat requiring injections twice daily. She is a professional- on time, quick in responses, and clear in her information. She is also very compassionate towards the animals - spent time petting and playing, got to know them based on her comments, and wanted to assure their wellness. She also provided timely and informative updates after each visit. We felt incredible comfort that our cats were in her care and that we have found someone who we can trust when we are away.

We have been using Weston Kennels for over 20 years and would HIGHLY recommend it. We always know that Chris is taking great care of our dogs and the dogs are excited to go and happy when we pick them up so we know they had a great stay. The best vet we ever had told us that it was the only place he would ever board his dogs and we took that as the highest recommendation. Again if you are looking for a clean, safe and excellent place to board your dogs while you are away-Weston Kennels is your place!
We have been bringing our dogs to Chris for about 13 years. He takes such incredible care of them and keeps them so healthy. I appreciate that they don’t come back overweight as can often happen to boarded dogs. As a veterinarian, I am aware of all the boarding options in this area and I choose Chris every time. He keeps his kennels in excellent condition and his communication is top notch. He is also so skilled with working dogs and knows how to handle their exuberant nature! My family went on a cruise and left our dog at the plainview Kennel. They took such good care of her. I was so at peace with leaving her in their care. She was well taken care of. They are great.
I cannot begin to express my gratitude toward Plainsview Country Kennels for the love and care they showed our dog, Ziggy, during his stay there. My husband and I were visiting our sons over 5,000 miles away and needed peace of mind knowing that our fearful dog would be safe and cared for. Ziggy can be a difficult fit, he is fearful of everyone and everything away from home. We chose a private room for him away from other dogs, minimizing the noise. The staff took care to give him a little extra TLC and by the end of the stay, he was beginning to warm up to them. I received updates and was assurance that he was ok and when our flight changed at last minute to the following day, and they went out of their way to accommodate us. I definitely plan to use Plainsview Kennel on our next planned travel and they have my highest recommendation. Those reading this will not know my background, but I have several years’ experience running a dog rescue and volunteer organization at an Animal Shelter; I am extremely particular (as we all are) about who cares for my pups. That said, I have full confidence in Plainsview Country Kennel.

Helen has been most kind and flexible. I like the facilities offered for our large Great Pyr who on occasion can be a handful. They have accommodated our specific requests to keep her outside as much as possible, and made special arrangements to board her during a period in which they were not accepting guests. We just picked up our dog after a week long vacation. He was happy and healthy and the facility is always clean. The owners post pictures and videos on Facebook while we're away and missing him. We have been going here for a year now and feel comfortable leaving our beloved dog because we know Plainsview Country Kennel will take good care of him. I highly recommend PCK.
I have been so fortunate to have Helen and Greg Edgar of Plainsview care for my Golden Retrievers Josie and Puck for more than 12 years. Travelling often, I was always able to enjoy my vacations because I didn't worry about my dogs. I knew that not only were they safe and well cared for, they were probably having a better time than they do at home. Wading pools in the summer, and playing with other dogs several times a day. When people ask me where I leave the dogs when I go away, I always say "They're at the Spa!" The last time I arrived to pick up Puck and reached for him with his leash, he looked at me, tail wagging as he got pets from the staff. He didn't want to go home... that says it all.
I love Plainsview Kennels! I am that dog "mother" who always freaks out about leaving her furbaby at the kennel. The owner made/makes me feel so comfortable and at ease when I leave my pup there. She always remembers going there and is super happy when we drop her off and goes to the staff without even looking back at me (which is sad for me but I'm happy she likes it there). I am on my vacation now and just realized I have no anxiety whatsoever in regards to my pup. And I should mention the facility is wonderful and located in beautiful Wallkill NY, my home town.
