This was a wonderful sit and my son and I had a great time. George and Spike are fabulous hosts, and the animals are all sweet and easy to care for. George and Spike welcomed us into their home like old friends. George was kind enough to pick us up from the train station a day before the sit started, help me with my luggage, and take us to the grocery store before they left. She is very generous to let us help ourselves to anything in the house, and even left some funds if we ran out of anything. Spike even left out some toys for my son and was so kind to play with him while we were there. George was in constant contact should we need anything or have any questions/recommendations and went above and beyond any host I've ever had letting us know about fun activities and events in the area. Drift, Jojo and Blinky (indoor rabbits) are the cutest animals we've ever sat for and so fun to watch play, especially for kids. Thunder and Lighting are indoor/outdoor cats that mostly keep themselves busy outside (which is a plus because there are no kitty litter box to change), but do come around for some attention in the mornings and evenings. They are very helpful and will meow or come let you know if they need the door or their dish is empty. The chickens are self sufficient but very friendly for chickens if you'd like to pet or spend some time with them. The house is very comfortable and functional should you want to stay in, though the animals are all easy to care for in the morning and evening should you want to be out most of the day. The bus stop is a 5 minute walk which can take you to the train station and town center/near the underground station which makes it very easy to get into London. I couldn't recommend this sit more!
Karen is such a kind, wonderful lady. She welcomed me with a cozy clean home. The home is in a great spot – it's easy to get to the mountains, trails, and creeks, and it's also close to public transportation. Stewie is adorable and easy to take care of. He's independent but loves to snuggle when he's at home. I was lucky to have a few cuddle nights with him. I had an amazing time there and would love to go back!
We enjoyed every minute of this house/pet sitting position! The two dogs are so adorable! We fell in love with them in no time! We were so welcomed into Jeff and Rustin's beautiful home. They took us out to a fabulous restaurant and upon their return cooked us a great meal! We felt like we'd known them forever. They gave us so many great places to visit and restaurant recommendations; all wonderful! Jeff also drove us back to the airport. Bentonville is a great place to visit! I can't wait to return!
