We can't say enough good things about Joe & Becky. We adopted Chip, a new rescue, just a few weeks before our sit. Coincidentally, Joe & Becky were already in Tucson on another sit, so instead of the usual Zeewoi's Zoom interview, we invited them to our house to meet in person. Once they met us and Penny & Chip, and understood Chip's "stranger danger" reflexes, they offered to come back several times so he was familiar with them by the time we left.

Becky & Joe are warm & friendly, and were committed to caring for our dogs, even following the training process we had started with Chip. They took us to & from the airport, the house was in perfect order when we returned, and our two happy pups were sad to see them go!

We hope they will be available to stay with our pups another time. If they apply for your sit, say "yes" immediately!

We really enjoyed our stay in Dorking caring for Ollie and Nino.
The cats are very sweet. Nino loves to play and visited us frequently throughout the day in between his adventures outside. Ollie is a little more aloof in the beginning, but once he got used to us, he would come and give us cuddles and ask for attention.
One thing to be aware of is that Ollie can be a little temperamental. He doesn't like Nino, and if he gets wound up (which can happen if Nino's been too close to him), he can get a bit stressed out and likes to be left alone. He communicates this by hissing and might bat you if you don't listen. If you give him some space, he'll soon calm down and be purring again! As we were sitting for Ollie and Nino for a few weeks, we had to charge their tracking collars. We learnt early on not to take off or put on Ollie's collar if he's been stressed out by Nino recently. If he's calm, it's usually fine, and as mentioned he doesn't take long to calm down if you leave him be.
The house was clean and comfortable, and Dorking is close to some lovely walking spots in the Surrey Hills as well as having good access into London.
We didn't meet Jonathan before the sit, but he left us plenty of information and was responsive when we had questions.
