We absolutely loved staying at Moira's place and spending time with little Susie. First of all - Moira has the most beautiful home and is incredibly friendly and thoughtful. She gave us so many recommendations on things to do in Liverpool and sold it to us so well that we genuinely considered moving there lol. She also took the time to answer all of our questions while we were there. The house is so stunning, clean and sunshiney - and close to loads of very cool cafes and restaurants. Easy to get into the city, too! Secondly, we adored Susie. At first she was a little bit shy, but by the end of our time she was so playful and affectionate and showed us her full personality. She's got the best cat toys, treats and furniture a cat could ever dream of! We'd love to come and look after Susie again one day!
From my first phone call, till the meet and greets, we talked about so much stuff before the actual sit itself it was like chatting with a friend I know for years. We maintained the chats towards the sit and I love the quick and fast responses from them all the time. Lucas and I had both one thing in common and that was our support for the same “voetbal” team. Which was funny and unique to me, meeting a fellow country man so far from home. We kept each other updated and showed our frustration about soccer like we would be better than them haha. Lucas and Sarah both welcomed me and showed me the ropes on our first meet and greet. It was great meeting them in person and Sarah shares the same passion as me, only times 100. No way or shape I'm at her level, Super interesting to talk with her and I gained advice and motivation that I will need for my future adventures. They are easy going, easy to communicate with, only that is already 100 kudos right there! Keeping in mind that Lucas and Sarah had a busy schedule themselves while being abroad! They have a lovely, comfortable cozy apartment that you will be sharing with the even lovelier kitties Min and Pippin. Prime location with stunning views of the city skyline. TTC, restaurants, parks, supermarkets and so many options in the area IT IS END-LESS. It was a wonderful experience on its own as I have never been this high on the 21st floor. Now let’s share my experience with the kitty cats. They are senior, fun personalities, cuddly but also own down time, hungryyyyy, and talkative. Both of them are on medication but it is simple to administer the pills and liquids. Min was more on her own the first day, but slowly and steady warms up to you. She loves back scratches, soft pets on her head, eating, sitting on your laptop or chest, and dabbing her nails in you. She comes and goes on the bed and sleeps with you when you don’t move too much. She has her fixed spots in the house where she sleeps, and she love the peacefulness. The last couple of days I found "classical music" is her things, she completely zones out and let me pet her even longer and more. She also comes from under the bed to sit next to you with her eyes closed, so funny. Yeah she is a cutie. Pippin the little tiger, every night I made sure he is drained of energy, just to find out I’m charging him up haha. Runny after the ball, following the stick-feather-thingy, wrestling on the carpet or he is chasing Min. He loves the attention and is happy to express that by talking to you in his funny unique voice. He explores the house and has his own personal mini window blinds that he loves, hilarious!! He follows you everywhere, he only wants the attention and love. I have said the cats are senior, but I’m still stunned for their age to be so active. Lucas and Sarah are taking such excellent care for them. I unfortunately had a lot of rain during my sit and my phone camera did not like that. My pictures were not as perfect, but these memories we have spent together will stick! I loved the experience that came with this petsit, especially walking 21 floors up and down 4x during the power outage, good lord, my legs and I now know that I need to train for the summits hard hahah Thank you for everything, you guys are great and would love to sit again for you with Shakura! Big hug Martin and Shakura
