We recently didn't 10 days here with Jacko and had such an enjoyable time. To start, we stayed the first evening with Primrose as she was leaving early the following morning. She instantly made us feel so welcome in her home, made us dinner (which was delicious) and we enjoyed since really incredible stories about her life! The home was such a treat for us, with a lovely light, open dining/living area which lead to the beautiful garden and the fields beyond, its easy to hang around the house a lot of the time. Theres lots to do in the surrounding area, we have a 4 year old and baby so a lot of our things were child focused, but with 10 days we certainly didn't get bored! And finally, Jacko. He was an absolute star of a dog. When you have young children like ours one of your main concerns with sitting is the temperament of the pets around children and Jacko really did fit the bill. He seemed to enjoy running around with our eldest which often kept both entertained for hours! He would happily snuggle with the baby and I especially enjoyed his cuddles on an evening on the sofa! We did keep him on the lead during walks but he has an extending one so he can still roam when safe. Overall we really did have such a lovely time here and we'd love to return some day, we can't thank Primrose enough for having us.
Steph & Chris made us most welcome leaving us wine, bread etc. Their house is cosy and comfortable with the most amazing views over the Kent countryside.Milly is a lovely cat, a little wary at first but with a little coaxing from Andy we managed to get her to eat her food while we were around and Andy played with her enough to make her purr, which was lovely but as she has a wealth of places to hide in the garden she is often out and about. We visited Tonbridge castle, the aircraft museum in Shoreham and Knole House and gardens, which have deer roaming free, so drive carefully. It was a fabulous place to spend Easter and we were incredibly lucky with the weather. Thank you Steph & Chris for making your home available to us and our sit such and enjoyable one.
After pet sitting for years, I do believe that Margo is the most endearing, the sweetest, the funniest dog on the planet! Not only did she steal my heart forever with her affection and personality, she also turned me into a CBTP (a Crazy Bull Terrier Person, the kind that collects all the Bull Terrier stuff) -- that’s how amazing she is! Her parents, Zachary and Natalie, live in a very peaceful and superbly decorated apartment in Silver Lake, a very safe neighborhood in LA. They were very nice and easy to communicate with. You won’t regret dog sitting Margo!
My husband and I had a lovely short stay at Sam‘s place with Alfie, Pippin and Leffe. Communication with Sam was smooth and she showed us everything we needed to know and made us feel very at home before she left for her trip. Her home is very comfortable, full of natural light (which we love) and in a lovely neighbourly area! The dogs were an absolute dream to look after. They are very calm, cuddly and gentle dogs! We warmed to them quickly and missed them as soon as we left! We would 100% recommend sitting for Sam and would love to return any time we are able!
I really enjoyed this sit! Audrey and Stella are adorable sweet kitties and so easy to take care of. They are curious and funny, though a bit shy and skittish at times, they slowly got more and more comfortable with me. Brenna was a fantastic host. She left clear instructions and was easy to communicate with while away. Her place is clean and tidy, the internet and desk are great for working, and the guest room bed was incredibly comfortable. The location is also amazing in a cute neighbourhood and so close to the ocean. This was a great first experience through TrustedHousesitters and I wouldn’t hesitate to sit for Brenna again.
Cato is an adored family dog who lives in a beautiful home and is easy to love and care for. Serena was a delight to communicate with ahead of the sit date and very much appreciated the photos and messages I sent while she and her family were away. I felt lucky to have the experience of looking after Cato and recommend the family and Cato most highly to other reliable sitters. Thank you again Serena.
