We had a lovely time petsitting Abbie. She is a sweet-tempered little dog and we very became attached to her during our time looking after her. Although she is slowing down now as she is getting older, she loves going out for a walk. Susan made us feel very welcome. She has a very comfortable, spacious house with a beautiful garden. The location is also excellent with shops, cafes and restaurants on the doorstep. There are also plenty of lovely walks close by. We would definitely recommend this sit and would gladly return.
Alexandra and Jon have an eclectic home filled with books, music and collections gathered from their worldwide travels. They welcomed us with a lovely dinner and stories of their lives. We were escorted around the series of decks and stairs that dress their hillside home with many places to relax. A bowl in the kitchen was full of plums and apricots from their trees and a lemon tree was overloaded in the yard. The town down the hill is charming and full of life, and shopping and restaurants are abundant in nearby Capitola. Santa Cruz , maybe the best beach in California, is just down the road about 15 minutes with a boardwalk and amusement park. Instructions for the house and Kelani were very clear and detailed with a printed copy on the kitchen counter. Alexandra and Jon were almost instantly accessible for answering questions. Kelani is very curious and athletic, zipping around the house to let you know she is ready to play! When she is done playing, she settles down on your lap for a cuddle. She was quite intrigued as she watched us brush our teeth and looked out the bathroom window to see what the yard had to offer. It was not hard to keep her in the house, she didn’t try to escape at all while we were there. We had a very relaxing and enjoyable time in Soquel and highly recommend this sit.
We had a great four night stay looking after the lovely Barney. The house is being transformed back into a real gem and is already comfortable and stylish. Kathy was great to communicate with from the start and was always helping us with tips for exploring. We walk a lot and enjoyed exploring the local area, the centre of Brighton, the beach front and Hove. It's about 30 minutes to the beach front. Very close to the house are shops, a lovely park, bars etc. but the house is nice and quiet. Barney was friendly and enjoyed his adventures. Although shy at first, we won him over with treats, and we were good friends by the end. He is very cute and low maintenance. Overall, this was a great seat, and we'd love to return to see our new friend Barney and watch the house continue on its magnificent journey! Thanks to Kathy for making us feel so welcome and relaxed x
It was a please to meet Andrea and Eric and their exceptional dogs Aspen and Shadow in their beautiful home. The dogs were easy to care for and did great on our daily walks. Shadow is very timid so he appreciates those who respect his space while offering gentle petting and will come to you for love and treats! Aspen is a sweetheart who enjoys a belly rub and playtime with her toys. These lucky dogs have a wonderful life with Andrea and Eric! I am grateful to have had some time with all of them...
We had a great time sitting for Valeriya and Jordi. Their apartment was great, very modern with all amenities close by. Mr Meow was super easy to look after and we especially liked how he would come and snuggle with us at nighttime! Would definitely sit for them again!
It was an absolute pleasure to look after Ronnie for a few days. He was friendly and happy to be cuddled. The house was perfect for my needs and had all amenities as stated. Cathy was very welcoming and I would be happy to sit for them again. Thank you very much
