Rose and Michael are the most fantastic house and pet sitters. They think of everything, and looked after our cat and our home magnificently. Communication is great and they are brilliantly reliable. This was the longest time we had left Reggie since he became blind but we felt totally comfortable and reassured leaving him with Rose and Michael, who developed a bond with him straight away. The house was wonderfully clean and tidy when we returned. I can't recommend Rose and Michael highly enough - they are lovely people and absolutely great sitters. We would love to use them for all our trips.
He kept my cats alive so I guess I’m grateful for that but I came home to 3 new blinds on my windows (clearly he had replaced them due to damaging mine), furniture moved, items out of place, unopened food items from my fridge gone, my chapstick used, and A LARGE SEGMENT OF DOOR FRAME in my garbage pile. It’s obvious he had some kind of party. This has been a majorly disheartening experience and makes me wary to use any sitter ever again because he seemed like a responsible, trustworthy guy.
Terri sit for Maya twice and was an absolute gift. She was so flexible and easy to work with. Maya had the time of her life driving around town - she LOVES the car and Terri didn't mind the shedding that comes with allowing Maya to ride along. House was in great condition after both sits.
Chris communicated well. He was thoughtful and accommodating. His community is laid out like a campground on a hillside. There was a short-cut from his building to the pool area. His condo was on the top floor with a wooded view. The interior is decorated with many photos he and his kids have taken. The guestroom included closet space, 1 drawer, and an adjoining bathroom. There's also a basement area to play fetch with Ozzie on rainy days. Ozzie was a big dog. He was young, goofy and sweet with a happy-go-lucky personality. He makes up for in obedience what he lacks in intelligence. He rarely barked or got in trouble. He walked pretty well on the leash and played fetch with a whiffle ball or stick. He especially enjoyed his play-dates, in the backyard, with the neighbor's dog, Archie. I took him out 4x per day – usually 1 of the 3 walks would be longer, up the hill, often the loop – sometimes to the viewpoint. He liked to hang out on the balcony, watch the activity, take a nap or chew on something, like a stick or toy. I confined him there with an adjustable gate and a closed front door. He slept overnight in the other bedroom. On a typical morning, he could be heard pacing/whining between dawn and 7:45. I kept my door closed, overnight, because he regularly “talked” in his sleep. He grazed on his kibble, but always had an appetite for treats. Chris told me he usually feeds him after the walks. He was easily excited to meet, and play with, nearly every person and creature he saw, regardless of whether they showed interest in return. He shed a lot during the transition. During my time, I did 2 big cleans, which seemed to help with the hair and dander. Additionally, I cleaned the microwave & the vacuum; plus, I did a load of household laundry. Please note, if Shnozzie chews apart a stick on the balcony, sweeping is required for the neighbors below. Thanks to Chris, I was able to see and explore the Biltmore Estate: the grounds, mansion, gardens and bass pond. That was a huge perk; as was the community pool. I loved being this close to the Blue Ridge Parkway. Catawba Falls was a 30-minute drive – I recommend hiking the loop clockwise.
My partner and I had an unforgettable house-sitting experience at the lovely ranch of Jocelyn, Scott, and their wonderful daughters, Daisy and Emily. From the moment we arrived, we felt like part of the family. Their warmth and hospitality truly made us feel at home. The ranch itself is nothing short of spectacular. Nestled in a serene setting, it’s a beautiful oasis that offers a peaceful escape from the hustle and bustle of city life. The scenery is breathtaking, with expansive views and plenty of open space to explore. We had so much fun caring for their delightful animals. The goats were not only cute but also hilarious, providing us with endless entertainment with their playful antics. The dogs were the sweetest and incredibly protective; we felt safe and loved in their company. The horses were friendly and easy to care for, making our daily tasks a joy rather than a chore. And let’s not forget little Bean Sandwich, the chick, who added a touch of charm and cuteness to our stay. All in all, it was a fantastic experience, and we would certainly do it again in a heartbeat. Roseanne looked in on my cat every day for over a week to ensure he was safe, had his meds, and was doing well after an operation. She sent updates each day whilst I was overseas so I could not only read about how he was, but also see a picture of him. I felt very safe in entrusting her with my pet and my house in my absence.
George was excellent with our dog Sebastian. We received videos and photos every day, and knew our dog was in good hands. While we were away, we would have normally been worried about our dog, as he is old and has a heart condition. However, we were confident with Waggy Tails Pet Care, and knew that our pet was receiving the best treatment while we were away.
Roxanne really cares about the dogs she watches. Our dog gets so excited as we approach Roxanne’s home, so we know she enjoys her visits. She is very accommodating with last minute requests, which we seem to have frequently. Our dog loves playing with her dog as well.
Binky loved her day at waggy Tails pet care. It is obvious that Roseanne loves dogs. She makes them comfortable and at ease and they seem very happy. She even got Binky trained in basic obedience training which was amazing. The best part is that she only takes a few dogs so they get individual care. Highly recommend Waggy Tails! I’ve been taking my pup to Roseanne for almost 3 years and never had a problem. Price is reasonable, and my dog is very fond of Roseanne. My dog is anxious and doesn’t warm up easily but Roseanne is really good at caring for pets so my dog warmed up quickly. She also sends pictures to keep me updated on how my pup is doing, without me asking. I will continue going to Roseanne for doggy day cares for years to come!

I recently had Roseanne watch my dog at her house for a couple days. She took great care of my dog. I appreciated the regular updates, which made me feel better about being away. We love Zen Pet! We have used them for many years, even with sick babies who required insulin. We always know they are safe, happy and loved and we never worry because we get daily reports with pictures and notes so we know they are OK no matter where we are. Also helpful, Denise tries to keep us with the same sitter who knows our pets and they know her, but all of them have been great and we get a meet and greet with anyone new. Zen pets is absolutely amazing!! My sister and I used Zen pets to help with her wedding weekend. She wanted her pup in the wedding and we also needed help with my pup. We had Kelsey help us out and she was SO AMAZING and so kind. She was able to help take one of our pups to the wedding and make sure they were fed and taken care of while we enjoyed her special day. Impeccable!! Over the years we've engaged a number of pet sitters for our cats, but most left us feeling underwhelmed. In December, we were referred to Zen Pet by our vet in Solana Beach, and are thrilled that we have finally found our forever pet sitter. Our kitties can be a challenge: one is older and rather withdrawn, while the other is young and as sociable as a dog. Mariam gave each the love s/he needs. For each visit, she sent us thoughtful, detailed updates about their appetites and litterbox use, along with adorable pictures, and this detailed feedback really helped us to feel connected even though we were 3000 miles away. After seven days, we returned to happy fur balls and a very well-kept home. We enthusiastically recommend Mariam and Zen Pet to all pet parents, and particularly to those who might feel anxious about entrusting their beloved pets; your babies could not be in better hands!
Denise is an incredibly generous and gracious person. She took care of us through the holidays at the last minute which was a lifesaver. While we were gone, she took incredible care of our cat and we came home knowing that she had been given affection as well as care. She was always texting us videos and pictures letting us know when she had been there and our cat took to her very well, which she doesn’t to everyone. We would definitely recommend her services to anyone we know. It is such a relief to not have to rely on or impose on friends or family to take care of our cat whenever we are out of town. We will for sure be asking her back next time! 😊👍🏻

I cannot thank Precious Petcare and my Wedding Pet Attendants (Hilary & Tory) enough!!! First of all, Leila and her staff were very easy to communicate with throughout the entire process, and they ensured that my 2 fur kids would get the best care possible for my big day. When the big day came, I felt SO comfortable with Hilary & Tory’s capabilities as ‘temporary’ dog mommas for my special day. It took such a HUGE burden and relief off of my shoulders, knowing that they were in such good hands. They were both able to keep my pups calm and happy, even with Scooter’s terrible separation anxiety! They also followed my detailed instructions to a TEE, and walked our ‘Ring Bearer’ and ‘Flower Pup’ down the aisle with no issues! They did an amazing job getting their energy out by constantly walking them around, letting them enjoy nature (they even saw a deer), playing with them, and keeping them well treated and extra cozy (Scooter was warm and wrapped in a blankie when he got chilly!). They truly watched them like hawks, snuggled them, and treated them like their own. When I saw them both with the pups (and heard nothing but amazing comments from my guests!), I knew that they were in amazing hands and I could be calm, relax, and really enjoy myself. They were also a great influence on my young pup, Millie, and her shyness around other people! We noticed such a huge improvement in Millie the day after the wedding! She was like a whole new dog. She’s so much less skittish after having the opportunity to meet with so many guests. I thank Hilary & Tory for giving her that opportunity, as it was much needed for a young rescue dog! They were stellar at their jobs —- they were punctual, kind, calm, professional, organized and dedicated. I also can’t thank them enough for the amazing photos that they sent. They are my absolute favorite photos for sure, and I’m so glad that they captured those moments for me (as the bride misses all the fun! Lol). I highly recommend Precious Petcare!!! 5 stars
We had Hannah with us for our wedding weekend and she exceeded all of our expectations caring for our maltipoo Bear! She continuously went above and beyond to make sure Bear was well fed rested and at the places she needed to be all weekend to be part of our celebrations. I was over the moon knowing Bear was in great hands for 4 days with Hannah until we came back to our hotel every day. Bear was able to join every event we hosted for our guests and I couldn’t be happier! Hannah even helped us every time photos were taken to make sure Bear was smiling & she helped coach Bear to walk down the aisle. Highly highly recommend precious pet care for your wedding or every day sitting needs!!! I wish they were closer to us in Los Angeles so we could use them on the regular :(

My husband and I just returned fron 6 weeks overseas. This is the first time leaving our 14 year old Calico Trixie using a pet service to visit. Our kids work and wanted someone to be with her during the week. We chose Precious Pet Care from Yelp reviews!! Not disappointed! Janna was our sitter the whole time away. She came 3 times a week. She shared pictures, communication/update and videos of how Trixie was doing. She respected our request to change Trix's ice water (spoiled kitty). Plated with her, gave her special treat! Brushed her. Cleaned her litter box. So much more. She treated her as I would have!! 🙂 Trixie was recently diagnosed with kidney disease and has specialized diet. From the start everyone Leila who helped me through the process made me feel secure and warm to their services.
I've used Precious Petcare the past few months for Doggie Daycare for my pup Cash. He always comes back happy and exhausted. This past week we were out of the country for our wedding and I felt at ease every time I received a daily update and pictures showing that he was well taken care of and enjoying himself with the other pups. We have taken our active dog, Anda, to Precious Pet Care for daycare, overnight stays, and boarding for the past few months. This is the first time that Anda has been to daycare and it is safe to say he loves its! Anda gets to play outside with all the dogs and gets lots of attention from the staff at Precious Pet Care. There is a good variety of dogs, and our dog has befriended the owner's dog. Whenever he comes home he looks very happy and is tired the rest of the day from all the play time. The staff are mindful to make sure he eats his meals and uses the bathroom regularly. They appropriately supervise to ensure he gets along with the other dogs. They also are very flexible with drop off/pick up times and communicative with us, sending daily updates with photos and videos. Most recently, he spent the holidays boarding at Precious Pet Care during our vacation. He definitely got a lot of attention, as there was a doggy holiday party with special treats, a Christmas photo shoot, and he came back with a gift bag and report card for his stay. We would absolutely recommend Precious Pet Care to anyone looking for a homey place for their dog to stay for any of the services they offer.
We booked Precious Pet Care for their wedding pet attendant service, and I highly recommend them!! We wanted to have our dog walk in the ceremony and have someone look after him at the Airbnb during the reception, but didn’t want to have any of our friends/family do it and miss out on the celebration. Precious Pet Care was the perfect solution! With everything that goes on during your wedding day, it was great to know that our dog was cared for and happy! Now I’ll be honest, our dog is not the best trained and can be very excitable, but Johnny did a fantastic job getting his energy out beforehand and keeping him entertained all day so he was comfortable when it came time for the ceremony! We got so many cute pictures with our pup too! It meant so much to have our dog with us on our big day and know he was safe and happy while we celebrated the night away! If that sounds like something you’d also want for your wedding, Precious Pet Care is the way to go!
Precious Pet Care was great in assisting us with the care of our pets Emma and Gracie on 4.02.23 - for my daughter's wedding! Leila was super helpful and responsive to our questions, and she and Ashley arrived early (before we did!) and were very attentive to Emma & Gracie during the course of the day - allowing my family to relax and enjoy this very special day! They made sure our girls were walked, fed, hydrated, entertained and calm throughout the day. They then returned them to our Airbnb, let them play outside for a bit, and made sure that they had food & water to last them until we returned. Before they left, they sent us pics of our pups relaxing at the house, which enabled us to enjoy the rest of the evening - knowing that they were safe, secure and had everything they needed. Without their awesome wedding pet attendant services, including our pups in my daughter's big day would have been next to impossible.
My dog Percy is really shy and is scared of everything and everyone. He just hides behind me whenever I take him to dog park. He takes a long time to trust a person or a dog. Leila has been phenomenal at taking care of Percy and she has helped him come out of his shell. She has been very patient and accommodating with him. She has made him a more confident and a playful puppy who can now explore the park on his own and play with dogs his size. Percy has been a part of Leila's doggie field day every week and I have been seeing drastic improvements in his behavior. All thanks to Leila! Percy loves her so much and he is so excited to see her every week. She even made this shy guy find his doggie best friends. I am very grateful that I found her and honestly, she is one of the best things that has happened to my Percy!

I moved my 2/3 pug 1/3 pittie-boxer foster fail love bug (Juan Pablo) from Camp-Run-A-Mutt to Paw Commons for doggy daycare. Paw Commons has by far been the better experience for our pup. First, there is way more space, a great water feature where the dogs who want to get wet can frolic, and there are way fewer dogs (or simply just way more space for them). My pup stopped wanting to get out of the car at the former place where at Paw Commons, he is super excited to go and jumps happily out of the car when we arrive. This speaks volumes of the difference in experience he had. The humans at both places are professional and kind, it just seems like the dogs have a little more room to play, jump up on various things, hide under things and of course engage in water play if they want. 10/10. The owner of Paw Commons is very passionate about providing an amazing experience for the dogs. Perhaps something about being a franchise like Camp-Run-A-Mutt they need to get as many dogs as possible crammed in on any given day. Attached is a screenshot from the live cam where JP was walking precariously close to the water (which he generally hates, lol) and a pic of our very happy, tired boy when he got home.
I cannot say enough amazing things about Paw Commons Kearny Mesa. All of the staff and trainers were so patient and helpful with my anxious German Shepard and his stranger danger and reactivity. I boarded both my dogs together for 2 weeks and the staff sent me tons of pics and videos of my happy pups. I was super anxious and nervous about how my GS would act with strangers, but he did amazing, and every member of the staff I talked to made me feel super comfortable about leaving him. I’m so grateful for their care and attention to my pup’s individual needs, my heart could explode. Now I’ll be booking more trips knowing my fur babies will be well taken care of and super happy at PC. They also got bathed before I picked them up and they smell and look amazing. Thank you Paw Commons, you are a life saver for this reactive dog mama! <3
I absolutely LOVE this place. More so, because my dog loves it. She gets so excited when she sees where we’re going. They trained her for us for several weeks when we first got her, and the dog we got back was not the same dog we sent. She was better trained and easier to handle. We have used a better portion of the services offered at Paw Commons and intend for them to be a decent part of our dog’s life. The love the staff shows is second to none. They clearly love dogs here and it shows! I honestly couldn’t recommend them enough. They’ve been a godsend to our family and we’re so grateful for them.
Love this place. They always take great care of our babe Nala and she loves going there. Loves to play with all her friends human and pups. They are so good at paying attention to when shes been too overstimulated. They take the necessary precautions for dogs to come in and be a part of the day care play time programs and keeping them safe. Love this place. Alexis is the best goes above and beyond! We love the report card with pictures updates while we are away.
The staff at Paw Commons are the greatest. My pup loves going to daycare and grooming. Training with Kayla has also been a amazing and hassle free has seen such Improvement in a short amount of time.
We have boarded our Westie, Winston, a number of times with Paw Commons. The staff is awesome! They really do keep an eye on the pups and if there are any issues they notify you and keep you up to date. It's nice to know that Winston is in a safe and fun environment while we are away. In particular, he loves being in the pond! They also have Muttcams so you can watch your dog in the play yard during the day. PC also has a great selection of healthy dog foods, treats, toys as well as grooming available on site. This is a great place to take your dog for a day of fun and play to burn off excess energy, or while you go on a vacation. Your dog will get lots of love, affection and attention. I highly recommend Paw Commons.
We LOVE Paw Commons at Kearny Mesa! We have two pups that need regular socialization, and the team at Paw Commons goes above and beyond with the care of our pups. We have boarded with them, and we are regulars for daycare. I never worry about the well being of my pups while they are there. Each pup is loved and tended to with special consideration given to their unique needs and personalities.
My dog Stella LOVES going to the Paw Commons Kearny Mesa location. All of the workers know her, have nicknames for her, and get excited when she walks in the door. She loves the pools at this location and I enjoy watching her splash around in them and romp with the other pups on their doggy cameras. Booking appointments is super easy and they have good packages and deals.
We are very thankful that Paw Commons provides a safe and fun place for our puppy dogs when we attend to our scheduled medical treatments. The dogs are happy campers and the staff is so good and understanding. We love that we have a trusting place to leave them.
Karena my dog’s trainer is amazing. She went above and beyond to help me sort out my dogs boarding and training. He came back so well behaved. He also knows to bring the ball back when we play fetch now. Absolute magic. It is nice to see the same staff there. The vibe is really comfortable. The groomers also did the best groom on my husky that she has ever had. Honestly I didn’t know you could do all they did for her since I usually wash her at home. I will definitely add a bath whenever I board my dog now. I also liked watching the cameras and report cards. I was showing all my friends and family. Thank you thank you thank you!

I really enjoy bringing my dog here for the private boarding suite. He was attended to and well taken care of. I appreciate the daily report cards and pictures of my dog. Gives me such a relief and happy feeling to know and see pictures of my little fur baby doing well with the committed staff members. I definitely recommend this place and will bringing my dog back when we go on our next vacation.
People are friendly and professional. Our dog Anthony seems to really enjoy being there with his friends both doggy and human. The employees seem to enjoy their job and I believe that is why Anthony enjoys visiting.
First time here and it was a pleasant experience for my dog Kiki. She was here for 4th of July weekend and she enjoyed her time here. I got the solo dog sleepover and she enjoyed it all. Loved and taken cared by the staff, I was sent a report card every day along with lovely pictures to know how she was doing and and her progress. Excellent coming here. Love it. And 24 hr care too.
24 Hour dog daycare, was the best, It was my puppy first time there and he had such a blast playing with all the dogs, we got a report card during his visit and lots of photos, along with a very detailed description of how his day was going! I would definitely recommend! also a huge plus that they are 24 hour!
When we got our Maltese back, he was smelling so good. He was calm and relaxed. We believe that he was pampered and spoiled well during the 6 hours of TLC. The daycare is so convenient for us since we could drop off and pick up our pet at anytime. I don’t see another daycare who could be so flexible like that. We will definitely come back! 100%. We went to have a thanksgiving dinner with my family and then went to the outlet for some shopping. It was so worry free. Thank you 24 hour dog daycare for all the care you gave to our precious one.
This was our first time at 24 hour dog day care. They are accommodating and flexible with their hours and our doggie seemed happy with her time there. We loved her “report card” and the great pictures they sent us with her new friends.
I've only used them 2 times so far but their prices are fair and I really like how easy it is to schedule a daycare session online, and convenient drop off and pickup times, any time of the day. I often have to travel up the 15 freeway for trips to Riverside County, so I can swing by as late as needed with no issues. Like others have said, the smell of ammonia from dog urine as soon as I opened the front door almost made me gag. It was so strong it took my breath away. Have they gone nose blind or something? I asked the girl behind the desk why it smelled so strong like ammonia, and she said it always smells like that and alot of clients think it smells good. I was perplexed by this answer, and so I asked another girl who came out to front desk area, and she said they have strict cleaning protocols and they clean multiple times a day. This is the first time I've ever used a doggy daycare or boarding facility, so I wondered if they all smell like this? My dog came from the shelter, and the shelter didnt even smell this bad, so that's saying something about how strong the urine smell is here. I didn't have time to find another alternative, so I had to leave her and hit the road. When I picked her up that evening, she smelled fresh like she had a bath. I even went back inside and asked them if she had a bath but they said no. Very odd. A week later I had to drop her off again because I would be picking her up late, but this time the urine smell was even worse. I called to check in 3 times during her stay, and each time I got the voicemail - I left a message and I didnt receive a call back for several hours - pretty unacceptable. When I picked her up, she had that same fresh scent, but with the lingering odor of ammonia in her coat. When we got home I couldn't take it, and I had to give her a towel bath. Another thing that I found strange about this place is they don't allow you to tour it and they don't allow a live video feed. What are they hiding? I asked why no cameras and they said that they allow all breeds. Do they not want someone freaking out because they see a pitbull on camera? That sounds like a ridiculous answer. Why don't you just say it's to cover your butt from liability issues - at least that's honest. Combine that with the pungent urine ammonia smell, the fact you cant tour the facility or see the conditions in which your dog is staying while they are not with you, and its just too many red flags for me. I'm going to try some other day care places. I'm kind bummed because otherwise I really like the convenience of the hours and everything else about the place. I don't know if there's decomposing urine trapped in the walls or under the flooring, but they really need to find the source, cut it out and remove it, and then waterproof it so urine cant soak through and get trapped to decompose like this again. It can't be healthy for the respiratory system of the people that work there, let alone for the dogs! RESPONSE TO OWNER RESPONSE: I checked my phone logs and it jogged my memory - I did receive a response to my voicemail, therefore I updated my review and clarified a few things. 1, 2 or even 3 hour delay in a return call is ok - taking that many hours tells me you were over booked or under staffed. According to reviews, the smell issue has been going on for several years, and you give the same answer to everyone who comments on it - I guess you're in no hurry to solve it. I have since used another doggy daycare, and can confirm this smell is not normal. Remote access live feeds with multiple high resolution cameras cost about $5000 max and shouldn't raise your costs if you host it on your own server. For transparency, you should consider one and it would negate the need for facility tours. A recorded virtual tour is pointless because the things people want to see are not shown, such as how truly clean it is, how many dogs are there on any given day, staff-per-dog ratio, etc. This would be solved with a live feed camera.
I'll cut right to the chase before the longer review. We all love our dogs. We're protective of them. When we can't be the ones to care for them, we need someone who we can trust. That's not easy! Trust is definitely earned when it comes to the lives of our pups. This place is 100% my go to, trusted dog day care in San Diego. Fair pricing, great package options, and most importantly, Coral LOVES going here. She always walks out exhausted but happy and gets excited to walk back in for her next stay. I recently moved to San Diego and have to travel for work occasionally and needed a dog day care/sitter. I was fortunate to find 24 Hour Dog Daycare! Coral is a 1.5 year old pup with ALL the energy and loves socialization from humans and other dogs. She has such a good time here and gets really excited to walk into the building (a good sign that she genuinely enjoys her time there). They have at least one person on watch at all times to ensure no puppy fights break out and ensure the pups are well taken care of. I love the Report Card feature they use in which they send you a daily update on 1) how the pup is doing, 2) how they are interacting with the other dogs and humans, 3) if they've eaten, drank, and gone potty, and 4) PICTURES! I love the pictures. You have the option to do a social stay or private stay. Coral is really well socialized and thrives in a pack so I've always opted for social where she gets to play with other pups all day. You can also leave your pup with their food or choose to use the daycare provided food at a small cost per meal. I love how tired Coral always comes home. She obviously loves it and I love it for her. For as long as I am in San Diego, this is the only place Coral is going!
The staff is awesome. I take my golden doodle Bella To the doggy day care off Miramar road. Bella is not much of a people dog, Fact she could pretty much do without most people but she loves dogs. The staff has been so patient with her that she has warmed up to each and every one of them. When I drop her off in the morning she jumps out of the truck walks in greets them and can't wait to go back and play. I would strongly recommend this place to anyone whether it's for the day or their overnight doggy slumber parties. They take great care of your pooch as if it was their own.
We are so happy to have found Sunny Pets to care for our dog! We were hesitant to board our dog because we didn't want him to feel like he was going back to the shelter, so the home environment that Sunny Pets provides is perfect. My dog gets so happy when he realizes where we are and I feel so at ease knowing he is lovingly cared for while I'm away.

Jon is an angel. They have such a kind spirit and my pup Rufio loves them. The first time I went to drop him off I was worried Rufio would whimper when I left but nope - he happily followed Jon right in the house and didn’t look back (ouch). Jon’s exactly the kind of person you would and should trust your fur babies with.
Can't say enough good things. Jon is very gentle and kind - my dog jumps right out of the car and runs into his house when he boards and jumps right in the van for park days.
Bella has been staying with Jon several times over the past year or so and each time I’m more grateful to have found Sunny Pets! If your dog is like mine, you’ve tried other formats that place dogs in their crates for extended periods and limited outdoor exposure. The experience with sunny pets is the complete opposite and better suited to dogs that need space to roam. Jon takes the pack out for long dog park days and lets them sprawl out on the floor or couch at night. We've relied on Jon / Sunny Pets multiple times in the past couple years for our dogsitting needs. Our four-year-old labradoodle has stayed with Jon overnight multiple times and has gone to the occasional park play as well. We appreciate Jon's reasonable and straight-forward pricing, especially his new online booking system! But our dog loves the attention Jon gives him during his stays and all the park and fetch visits!
Jon and Sunny Pets are INCREDIBLE!!! Our Bailey has the best time ever when we have to overnight her for several days here. Jon is constantly sharing updates on Instagram with the activities our pet is doing plus showing us all the new friends she makes during her stay. Once you put in a request for your pet's stay - Jon sends a full breakdown of the price for everything (weekday rate, weekend, holiday, etc.) Nothing is hidden from you and you don't pay until you have a chance to review the full stay of your pet. I can't thank Jon enough for every time Bailey gets to stay and has the time of her life!
I text Jon whenever I need someone to watch my dog for a full day or over night. She is a high energy, smart/stubborn husky mix, and he does great with her. She likes to play with his dogs Ryker and Yuly, and is always excited to see Jon and them. He picks her up from my house and takes her to the park, and uploads some video clips to instagram so I can see how good a time she's having. She always comes home tired, which is good. Jon is super responsive via text. I'd highly recommend Sunny Pets.
I am only comfortable sending my pup to Jezabell. He’s treated like family when he’s with them and I’m constantly getting updates throughout his stay. Whether it’s for doggy day care or for overnight boarding I wouldn’t send my baby to anyone else in San Diego!
We have used Jazz’s services a couple of times now, and we are truly appreciative of how well she takes care of our fur baby! She is so personable and you can tell that she really care about all of the animals she looks after. Our dog mindlessly I searched/licks himself and creates sores on his body. Jazz went out of her way to buy him medicine and a donut so he could stop itching and hurting himself. She also sent daily updates on how our dog was doing each day and made us feel connected through pictures. Bottom line, Jazz is amazing! You can leave your fur baby with Jazz and have a piece of mind knowing they’re in good hands!
We've taken our dog to Jezabell several times, even for a 2 week long stay. She is treated so well and Jezabell sends regular photos and videos of all the dogs having fun. We will absolutely be back.

Christine is extremely detail-oriented, loving, punctual, and overall trustworthy- we certainly trust her with our two fur kids' lives! Our dogs love her as well; in fact, since we live in the same neighborhood, one of our dogs gets super excited when she sees Christine's car driving down the street! She will care for your animals as if they were her own, as she has done with ours.
Have a Ball Pet Sitting & Dog Walking is an excellent pet sitting company offering service that goes above and beyond. Christine was our pet sitter and my partner and I were very impressed with her services. Being new to San Diego, we didn't know many people we could ask to watch our dogs. Initially, we were very nervous about having someone we didn't know stay in our home and trust them to care for our babies. As soon as we met Christine we felt a lot better. She just has that professional manner that made us feel very comfortable. She came to meet with us and had all the credentials she mentions on her website. It made us feel more at ease when we knew she had been background checked and had all the proper certifications. She was very down-to-earth, caring and understanding. She is also easy to communicate with and to just deal with, in general. We've used her services a few times and everything always runs like clockwork. When we get home our dogs are always happy and healthy and our home is well taken care of. We can't recommend Have a Ball more. We are very grateful to have found them.
I recently decided to hire a dog walker for a few days a week when I worked late. My dogs were so happy on the days that Christine walked them that I upgraded to everyday walks while I'm at work. My pups are so much calmer when I get home and I don't feel as guilty leaving them. Christine is really easy going and a great dog walker - my pups love her. As the business owner she's also always professional and always has a backup so I am never left high and dry if one of them is sick (something I have experienced with another dog walking service). I can't recommend them more!
March 2021 - Chris and Barbara are very special people and took excellent care of our 10 month old Maltipoo. He has stayed with them for both day care and overnight visits and I was very happy with the care they provided! I prefer that he get more attention and personalized attention at a smaller, home care setting (like Hugs) vs one of the other more commercialized dog care options. Chris and Barbara took our dog on a nice, long walk in the morning and evening. They were very flexible when our schedule changed and we needed to adjust the pick up time. And our dog came back clean, happy and tired :-) Update 4/2021 - our dog just stayed with Chris and Barbara for the past 10 days and they sent me pictures, videos and updates every day. Also got pictures of our dog sitting with them - I could tell that they truly care about him and he received lots of love in our absence. He celebrated his 1st birthday with them and my daughter was so sad that we weren’t with him. Chris and Barbara threw him a birthday party and FaceTimed with us so that we could see his party they put on - complete with birthday hats, balloons, dog cake and even a present! We were so appreciative and touched (especially my daughter)!
Hugs Pets Sittings did a truly outstanding and professional job caring for my lab Lola for overnight stays in the home-style setting we wanted for our pet. Not only was my dog cared for in a healthy and loving manner with multiple walks and much attention, but the owners also provided me with photos and and video updates throughout my trip so I could see how well Lola had adjusted to her new environment. Another bonus is Hugs Pet Sitting also allowed me to cancel a reservation 5 days prior due to a emergency hospitalization of a family member during the busy holiday season. Their understanding and compassion shows a business that really cares for its customers.
We were very fortunate to have found this place as we were looking for boarding for our furbabies. We love the fact that they get to roam freely and have access to indoor and outdoor space; it was the perfect home away from home for them. Chris and Barbara were very caring and we knew they were in good hands while we were out of town! We enjoyed all the daily check-ins and I know Kona and Milo look forward to their next visit! I've had our two dogs, Penny and Sidney, staying at Hugs Pet Sitting for 2 years now. When I first met Barbara and Chris in their home to discuss our needs, I was struck at how their house was 100% tailor-made to have dogs as guests. To have our dogs in a home environment with a limited number of dogs per day, tended to by TRUE dog-lovers who treat your dogs as if they are their own, is a dream come true. The first year, we had a major home remodel going on, and couldn't have our dogs underfoot with workers going in and out (open doors) and dangerous materials strewn about. Five days a week our dogs got to go to "Camp Cavanaugh" and be loved and pampered by Chris and Barbara. They always went out of their way to make sure they got love and affection, or walks, or pickups or drop-offs to my house when I was in a bind...they are the most generous-hearted people who truly do care. I also 100% know that if any sort of emergency were to arise, it would be handled immediately with intelligent and informed action. Our dogs bonded with their two dogs, Yuki and Peach, for life..they truly are best friends. Their German Shepherd Yuki can at first look imposing because of his size, but he truly is a gentle giant who wouldn't hurt a flea...he is so well mannered and such a gentleman and so sweet. Their other dog Peach is exactly as her name implies...a peach! A sweetheart who loves to play and be friends. Now that we're in our second year, we meet at the park for walks (again, our dogs are BFFs), and when we go out of town, our dogs get the treat of getting to stay at what I now refer to as "their cousin's home." We thank our lucky stars every day that we found Hugs Pet Sitting. It truly lives up to its name. Barbara and Chris both work from home, so the dogs truly are tended to and taken care of. Out of this fortunate connection we've found dear friends for life too, in Barbara and Chris! Dog lovers, they are the real deal!! Your search is over...just bring them to Hugs!
I can’t tell you how pleased I was with Hugs Pet Boarding and day care! I originally had my dog scheduled to be boarded at a facility for 10 days. This weighed on our shoulders for days before we left. The thought of him inside sleeping in a kennel and only going out to play with other dogs a few times a day was agonizing!! After searching I came upon Hugs doggy daycare/boarding. This was like finding a diamond in the rough! Everything from my first contact with Chris and Barb was nothing more than professional. We had a meet and greet before our trip and I felt completely confident that this was the place for our pup. They did not disappoint!! Every day they sent us a little video clip of how much fun our pup was having. We actually were concerned that he would not want to come home with us when we came to pick him up. He was having a great time!! Everyday! I would definitely refer my best friends and family and anyone who asks for a place to bring their fur babies to Hugs!!!
Our 6 month old Viszla puppy, Maple, had such a great time at Hugs! It was so comforting to be able to leave her in a home setting and get daily pictures/videos of her activities and behavior. She was so tired out when we picked her up from running around with the other dogs and it was clear she enjoyed herself! This was our first time leaving her with someone other than our family members and it's safe to say we will definitely be using Hugs again, highly recommend!
Chris and Barbara took wonderful care of our dog over our spring break vacation. They cared about her comfort and walked her everyday while she stayed with them. We felt lucky that she was in such good and caring hands. Their place was clean and set up wonderfully for dogs to roam freely and play. They even sent us pictures and videos showing what a great time our dog was having with the other dogs there. One thing especially I would give them a shout out for is how they took some time to screen the dogs they accepted. It was great knowing that they made sure our dog would be comfortable with the other dogs there before we left her there. I wish I could give more stars than five and definitely wouldn't think twice before having her stay with Chris and Barbara again in the future!
Chris and Barbara were wonderful hosts to our 7 month old golden retriever. They were quick to communicate. They sent updates daily. They were willing to work with our picky eater and make accommodations for him. They got him out for exercise daily. He was a happy pup when we picked him up after 3 nights! Hugs is absolutely the best place for your furry friends! I am beyond grateful we found Hugs. Chris and Barbara are amazing with the animals. Our fur babies, Lola and Ziggy, come home happier when they are at Hugs versus anywhere else when we are out. Hugs take wonderful care of the animals and I love how they send photos and video clips of the animals everyday. It makes me feel so comfortable knowing the dogs are in excellent hands. Chris and Barb are nothing short of attentive and loving when it comes to the fur babies. We love them!

She has some separation anxiety and doesn't trust new people very easily but she felt so comfortable with Chris and Barbara immediately! Cassie was great with our 13-year-old pup, especially for his first visit to Paw Commons. She was a great listener and our little guy easily walked with her to begin his spa day. I been bringing my 3 Golden Retrievers for their Grooming by Cassie she has been amazing she has taken care of my oldest 14 year old boy Tucker who now has passed she was patient with him as he has was slow and his arthritis condition limit him on his standing. She gave my boy Tucker his final Groom and knew it was gonna be his last the compassion and love she shown him till the end. Cassie still Grooms my 7 year old female Bella since she was a puppy now we have our 18 month old English cream Maverick and Cassie has been nothing but amazing to my dogs and gives the best Grooming love to pur furbabies. I highly recommend her she does get booked out that speak for its self of how well people like her work and how great of a person she is. It only allows 5 stars but she deserves 10 stars. We have been bringing our pup here for years and will continue to do so for all the right reasons. 1- she loves going to camp for both day play and lodging. She’s excited when we leave the house and she’s eager to get in the door once we she realizes where we are. 2- they take such good care of her! She gets lots of love and attention from all the staff. When she’s been slightly ill while there, they are specially attentive and have taken such good care of her 3- she loves all the staff but is specially appreciative of Seth! 4- they always go above and beyond in making sure our girl is well cared for while we are away. 5- they send daily report cards letting us know how she’s doing while we are away!

Brought my anxious and sometimes reactive dog in to cut his nails, and Cassie was just amazing!! So sweet with him, and I got to watch through the glass. Worth every penny and will definitely be back!! He won’t really let me touch his feet but he behaved so well for her with no muzzle!! She was so great and gave him lots of nuzzles a kisses to keep him calm.
I found Paw Commons through a friend who takes her dog there and I’ve never gone to another doggie daycare since. Bella has been going to daycare and boarding here for over a year now and it’s the best place we’ve found throughout all our time living on both the east and west coast! Every time we enter the building, my girl gets sooo excited when she sees the staff members! Everyone is so friendly and cares for your pet like their own and I always feel comfortable knowing she is taken care of while I’m away. We love paw commons!!
Paw Commons is our first choice for boarding our fur baby, Z. It’s her normal day care and she loves it and more importantly the team is amazing. These are people that love dogs and treat them like they are their own. They provide report cards during your pup’s stay and you’re also free to call and check in if you can’t wait for the report card. Super accommodating. Highly recommend.
My dog has been going to the Paw Commons Hillcrest location for about six months, and he loves it! He’s always excited to see his dog friends and the human staff. He also comes home exhausted, which is great for me. Whether I drop him off for a few hours or a few days, I feel good knowing he’s safe hands. I cannot recommend Paw Commons enough!
We have being blessed since we started bringing our dog to Paw Commons. The whole team is well engaged and prepared. Mrs Mary welcomed us since the first day and often share videos and photos of our fur baby. It’s brightens my day. But you can also check their camera. I honestly could not feel more at peace knowing when my dog is not with me, she is there having lots of fun. Their grooming service is also premium but I recommend booking in advance. Have to highlight the cleanliness of their facility. Well kept and also they offer couple options of toys and treats. They have a convenient parking.
Love this place!!! I live downtown but picked this business because they are outdoors/covered patio while the places closer to me are 100% indoors. We just had our first visit (evaluation) Mary and the other staff members were kind and absolutely lovely with my dog, Louie. I can’t tell you how much we love Sari! She is so sweet and loving to our girls (two dogs and a cat) and we feel very safe leaving them in her care. She even brings them toys whenever we go on a trip. Our pets are so much happier being able to stay at home when we travel instead of being boarded. Every time we travel, we always make sure Sari is available before we book flights; there’s no one I trust more with our pets’ safety and well being.
We have seen Sari the Owner of MVPSS many times over the last few years walking other local residents Dogs in the neighborhood and was laways very impressed with her thorough and very detailed and careful approach to handling her clients dogs. We finally found an opportunity to hire her for 3 days to take care of our 10 year old Sheltie Max. We had never been seperated from him for almost 3 1/2 years so we were fairly hesistant to say the least is trusting anyone to care for him. Sari came over a few days before we left and spent a considerable amount of time taking very detailed notes on Max's behavioral traits and personality. She emailed us every day after every visit with him to let us know how he was doing, so we would not worry about him and when we returned she had left very detailed notes about all of her visits as well. We have no reservations at all in saying she runs the most professional Pet Sitting Service and deserves all the awards & recognition her business has received. She is a total professional and absolutely loves and has a passion for the animals she is entrusted to care for....Resonable Rates with a 5 Star Experience!!!
Mission Valley Pet Sitting is EXCELLENT. I learned this when they were booked and I had to find a different service. They go out of their way to earn your trust where others expect it’s easy for you to turn over your keys to a stranger. They took the time to verify all of their credentials and insurance beforehand. Sari and her staff are clearly animal lovers. My kitty is very skittish and they also made sure to find out exactly what works with her. Katherine seems to be able to pull her out of her shell where with other sitters she just hid the whole time. Katherine and Sari give detailed reports of each visit and send lots of pictures, all of which make me feel super comfortable with the care my kitty is getting while I’m gone (not to mention having strangers in my home!). I highly recommend their caring, conscientious services to anyone, especially if you’re skeptical about hiring pet sitters.
The owner, Sari, is absolutely wonderful and I wish she had been the one to be our designated dog walker. Jenna was assigned to our dog and we never had reason to believe that she wasn't doing a wonderful job until I saw her interact with our dog via a doggy camera. We've had the camera for over 2 months and never used it to check in on Jenna because we trusted her. Recently though, I was on break at work and wanted to check in on our dog since he was on a new medication and I wanted to see how he was doing. Jenna happened to walk through the doors a few minutes in and I was heartbroken to see what unfolded. Jenna entered the house and walked right past our dog. Never petting him once. She was there for a 30 minute visit to walk and feed our dog. She was outside with him for only 5 minutes and as soon as they got back inside, she walked right past our dog again to plop herself down on our couch where she stayed for the next 15+ minutes, glued to her phone and making herself way too comfortable. Not once looking over to our dog or to pet him or play with him. A few minutes before the 30 minutes were up, she put down his food, wrote her update, and left (again without petting our dog). Her note stated that our dog didn't eat while she was there and that "he did great!" Well it'd be pretty hard for any pet to eat their dinner while you're there if you don't give it to them until right before you leave! And was he so great because he just laid there and didn't demand attention? Allowing you to just lay there, doing whatever you want? I was so shocked to see this interaction. Jenna has been our dog walker for well over a year and I hope that this isn't how the majority of the visits went. Her completely ignoring our dog. Not ONCE did I see her pet him during the entire 30 minutes. I'd like to believe that this was a one time occurrence, but based on her body language and demeanor, this appeared to be her routine when coming to our house. I only gave the 3 stars because of Sari, the owner of the company. If Jenna is assigned to your pet, beware. Your pet might not receive the care they deserve! Jenna was always very flexible with scheduling which was a plus, but now I can't help but wonder if she was so lax because she took advantage of the time with our dog and viewed him as an "easy" visit. She certainly didn't put any energy into the visit I witnessed.
My aunt broke her hip and we live 125 miles from her so we hiredMVPS to provide daily care while my aunt recoperated in the hospital. I have been so impressed with how caring they are..always looking for solutions to make things better for the cat..I highly recommend their services
Sari has met all my expectations in the care of my cat. I have piece of mind when I have to leave my fury friend behind for a few days.
