We just finished our sit in Kandersteg. A beautifull small village in the canton of Bern in Switzerland. Three wonderful days surrounded by snow-capped mountains, with two wonderful lovable dogs and a very shy cat who became more open every day. We were warmly welcomed by Mark and his two dogs Pepper and Dickens. Pepper the old experienced dog who takes everything a little easier and Dickens the newbie who always tries to be the first. If Dickens could talk, he would say: "Show me the world, now." and Pepper would answer: "I'm in, but we don't have to rush." Both clearly shows that they are happy that we are there for them and greeted us every morning with wagging tails. They followed us on all our walks and enjoyed the snow that was still abundant. Both are riding without problems in the car or the cable car/gondola, so that an exploration of the surrounding mountain world was no problem. Chikita the cat, the last newcomer in Mark's home, was very hesitant at the beginning and was especially impressed by our big Newfoundland. That was a bit more dog than she was used to. But then she dared and snuck on velvet paws around the sleeping dogs in the evening to cuddle with us on the couch. Afterwards she also kept us company during our meals. Besides Mark's wonderful pets, Mark's apartment has everything you need. It's very cosy and you feel very quickly very comfortable. Even though we didn't need much help from Mark, his Welcome Guide und Instructions were very clear and we are from Germany, and there fore we have no real language problem in Switzerland, I'm sure Mark will be happy to help to make your stay as pleasant as possible. He is an experienced Homeowner on ThrustedHousitters and I can highly recommend anyone to apply for a sit here. If it fits, we would always do a sit for Mark again.
We had an amazing sit with Mochi & Chotta at the house of Emma & Fede in Berlin. They invited us to sit via app initially and we were fortunate to be able to do this sit. Looking after Mochi and Chotta was super fun. Mochi is an adorable little creature who’s playful at home and gets super excited and energetic outside. She gets a bit scared and agressive toward other dogs but we managed to avoid other dogs and enjoyed walking her. Chotta is very shy and it takes some time to get to know her but she is chill and very charming. Outside, she likes to run around and we enjoyed some little chasing games in the park. Emma & Fede are a cheerful couple; they love traveling, yummy food and conversations. We were lucky to be able to have dinners before and after their trip to the US and to get to know them. Their house is centrally located and accessible to many places in Berlin. We were super spoiled with this sit! And we would love to come back again soon!!
We loved our stay at Leckhamstead. The house and gardens are magnificent and it is such a pretty farm. Walks in every direction were magic. Tessa and Anthony were so kind and accommodating. Explaining everything to us and even taking us on a beautiful walk. We fell in love with Raffy and Elsa and were so sad to leave them. They were beautifully behaved and loved their daily walks. The horses, chickens and sheep were all easy to care for and we followed instructions for their daily routines. A stunning area with plenty to see and a fabulous experience for us.
We had a wonderful time with Georgia and Puzzles. They are so lovely, but so different. While Georgia loves to chase her toys and sleep, Puzzles often is around people and wants attention. The apartment and the view is absolutely amazing and we felt welcomed immediately. Everything is clean and cozy. Larica and Jonathan are wonderful people. The communication was easy and we had all instructions we needed. Thanks so much for having us!
