Staying at Steve’s was a marvellous introduction to the fascinating world of lepidoptera. I hatched moth eggs, fed caterpillars and watched anxiously over chrysalises, which stubbornly waited to emerge until after I was gone. However, Steve has sent me photos of them since, and they are absolutely beautiful, and I am proud to have been involved in their gestation. The two cats, Cuddly and Mum, are easy to mind and spend much of their time outdoors. Cuddly likes to nestle on the bed or sofa with humans; Mum is much more elusive and prefers to do her own thing. The apartment is nicely situated for exploring the area, and there are beautiful beaches nearby. Quinta del Conde is laid back and friendly and Lisbon and Setubal are also very close. There isn't much in the way of equipment, but it has all the basics.
Emily and John are a very nice couple who made us feel very comfortable. Although it was a short stay, we had a great time with Puppy and Otto who are very funny and loving. It is a beautiful cottage with large gardens to play in. Thank you again!!!
This was a great sit. Bev has a beautiful house and backyard in a very nice neighbourhood close to walking and biking trails along the Grand River. I learned a lot about Brantford! The two little dogs were sweet and easy to manage (most of the time lol) and I appreciated being able to drop them them at a doggie daycare one day so I could take a day trip to explore the area. Communication with Bev was smooth and her welcome guide excellent. I would gladly return.
It was a joy to house sit for Mary and Michael and their little furry/woolly family! We received a detailed welcome guide before arriving, written notes to refer back to during our stay, and also had the most lovely in-person handover. Mary and Michael even left warm soup and bread for our arrival, provided fresh milk, an already laid fire, and other bits for us enjoy. The house was so homey, with plenty of space, right in the heart of the Somerset countryside with plenty of walks and lovely little villages and towns nearby. The house is also surrounded by fields and feels calm and tranquil, the perfect little getaway! Last but certainly not least, spending a the week with Dunstan, Claude, and the 3 most friendly sheep you’ll ever meet, was an absolute pleasure. Dunstan is the best dog you could ever hope to care for, he’s curious, loving, playful and incredibly well behaved. He’s perfect on lead, and off lead, and also the perfect running partner! Claude is equal parts relaxed, curious and affectionate, he snoozed in various spots around the house all day and loved strokes and treats on an evening! The sheep were wonderful, they simply needed feeding hay once a day and spend the rest of the day grazing in their little paddock. They’re super friendly and honestly have so much character (especially Badger) and love a little stroke and to follow you around while you get their breakfast ready. We couldn’t recommend this sit more! Thank you for having us Mary and Michael :) we so hope to be back again soon!
Dear Angie, dear Carsten, Thank you both for your trust. It was a real pleasure for me to look after Leo and Tiger & your wonderful and peaceful home. Leo and Tiger are two particularly beautiful and loving cats. It was my first experience with Bengal cats and I must say they are very adorable and adventurous. Walking them (one at a time) was a new experience and more fun every day. It was very interesting to get to know them better and better and to get to know their preferences and character traits. I will miss the cuddling moments with Leo very much. I enjoyed the time with you and with them very much and miss them already. It was also a great pleasure to get to know you both a little and I am already looking forward to our reunion. I can only recommend sitting with Angie, Carsten and Leo & Tiger!
Amazing experience in a romantic seafront view cottage with the unique and cutest black cat, named Agnes during the Queen Jubilee 🇬🇧 The couple, owners of Agnes, are kind and generous, they let me feel home immediately, it was my first time visiting Uk from Italy !!!. Eleanor always nicely answering to my messages! At first I was little nervous, far away from home after long time, so I really appreciated their easy going way of hosting me at their place full of books and knowledge of culture, perfect as a location for those treasures hunters stories from the sea! My worries went away with the sound of the wind, cuddling with Agnes in the garden, bicycling around to find shells and relax. lost on my head. I got affectioned to Agnes I miss her ❤️Also not only they picked me up at the train station but they have offered help when my flight was posponed. I felt the positive vibe of generous people, I definitely hope to come back!! The adventure continues..
