We loved this sit! Had not been in East Anglia for decades and took this as a gamble...that turned into an outstanding time, complete with kitty cuddles! Our welcome was warm and gracious and it just got better from there. The house is an excellent blend of listed thatched cottage in the front and modern addition on the back so has the charm of the old and the convenience of the new, with a stunning backyard we loved sitting in the evening. We got National Trust memberships and had a long list of places an easy drive from the house - but there is a quaint pub right in this gorgeous village, an excellent farm marker just a few miles up the road and in five minutes you can be in any one of several charming villages. John and Bridget really gave us a huge gift with this sit - both in getting to meet them and in making it possible for us to explore one of the best parts of the UK. We hope to see them again!
Our petsit at Kristy's place really couldn't have gone any better! She was quick to answer any questions we had, incredibly hospitable when we arrived. The apartment is very comfortable, with access to the swimming pool. Apricot is absolutely no trouble and come and go as he pleases using a GPS collar. Thank you Kristy for a wonderful sit.
This sit was such an unexpected treat. A nice little getaway from the hustle and bustle of the city with lovely hosts and the greenery coupled with the rivers nearby was nostalgic. Gracie is a little cutie who is super smart, well mannered and full of energy and curiosity. She is sure to keep you going and put a smile on your face. Molly and Teddy are little sweethearts who mostly keep to themselves but would come out like clockwork once it was time for them to get some loving. I really enjoyed my stay and I'm looking forward to future opportunities to spend time with Gracie, Molly and Teddy. Thank you so much for having me!
This sit was amazing! The dogs are very sweet and love as much attention as you can give! The family were lovely and very welcoming. The house itself is amazing too with great walks right on the doorstep and friendly staff down at the vineyard shop. It was so lovely that I am going back there in autumn :)
My sitting was magical. From the start, Judith's warm welcome made it feel like home. Caring for her two well-behaved and affectionate cats Mica and Amor was a joy; they quickly became beloved companions, adding warmth and comfort to my time there. Amazing experience! Eddie and Rebecca are excellent hosts - extremely nice people, and very organized and thoughtful. The house is likewise awesome - it's beautiful and well-maintained, and has a lot of fun amenities like a sweet jacuzzi and some cool exercise equipment. Also great area -- minutes from the beach, mountains, etc. As for Munch, the cat, all I can think to say is that he might be the cutest cat I've encountered (Devi, the dog, wasn't there for my sit but she seemed cute in the short period I saw her). Munch is as affectionate a cat as they come, so be prepared for around the clock cuddles and 'meowversations.' In sum: I highly recommend sitting for Eddie and Rebecca and would do it again in a heartbeat.

We are so grateful for the care Richard provides for our sweet dog Elsa. He has been letting her out and taking her on walks every week since she was a puppy. Richard is exceptional. In 2.5 years of dog walking he has never canceled a walk or said no to last minute needs. He has never raised his prices and he always comes on time. He walks our dog Libby who is aggressive with other dogs and has handled her so well- she loves him. He also cat sits for us when we leave town and goes above and beyond, stopping by our house in the morning and evening to let our cat in and out so she can get some fresh air. He has been so important to the health and happiness of our pets, we think of him as family!

Richard is great! I highly recommend Sunnyside Petcare. He comes to our house on short notice and takes care of our pets. He is very responsible and even finds substitute pet walkers for our dog at no extra cost when he can not make it. He is also great at communicating any issues that come up. We trust him with our dog and recommend him to all of our friends.
When I first adopted my puppy, Fluffhead, I felt incredibly guilty for leaving him at home while I was in the office. I told my vet that I was stressed out about affording the rates of most dog walkers, and she immediately recommended Richard's services. Richard came over and hit it off with Fluffhead right away, spoiling him with treats and attention. Since then, Richard has come in two or three times a week, unfailingly responsible, flexible, and friendly. Even when I email him the same morning asking for a walk, he always makes time in his schedule. Lastly, I can tell that he really cares about Fluffhead...for the first couple of weeks he would text me about their walks, letting me know that all was well. I feel so lucky to have him in my neighborhood, and I know Fluffhead feels the same way!
This man is a bit unhinged and outright unstable. I don't know what lead to his owns dogs death...(not natural causes) but I can not trust him with my own.
This is the second time I’ve boarded my dogs with Lynda. I have confidence they will be safe and loved just like at home. I appreciate her great communication during their stay when I call to check in, and highly recommend her as an awesome dog sitter.
We took our dogs for an "evaluation" before we boarded them. To see if they "passed", they told us that our German Shepard totally "shut down" when she was with other females. Didn't even try putting her with males. So they (two Chihuahuas had other issues" They never once suggested that the get German Shepherd should not be near our beloved and therapy dog Morgan. Who was obviously a female....I told them that the German Shepherd and Morgan can't be together. They claimed they were dog professionals...the very next day, our German Shepherd killed our precious Morgan, in 8 seconds....thanks....

My dog came home happy and exhausted after his first weekend. Just Like Home cares, is fun for my dog and reasonably priced for me.
They do no offer the services that are advertised on their website, where clear sizes and descriptions are printed. When I brought this up, the reply was "No, Thank You" and hung up, not offering any explanation. Very unprofessional in my opinion.

My sweet girl Jett loves going to Critter Nanny. I take her 5 days a week while I am at work. She is loved and gets good play time with other dogs.
If we mention the name of one of our puppy's friends at Critter Nanny, Jazzy will run to the door and want to go. She loves the place! It has been an awesome place for her to learn socialization skills. We call it puppy Disneyland. Nancy and Jim have a wealth of information when it comes to dogs. We trust them with our puppy and the choices they make regarding Jazz, like how they choose to mix our pup with other puppies/dogs. We highly recommend Critter Nanny for daycare or boarding!

Jim and Nancy have been a life savor for taking care of our doodle! For many years, our dogs have stayed with Critter Nanny while we are out of town. Jim and Nancy do a great job and are very conscientious about all the details. Our pets are always well cared for and have a chance to play with compatible dogs, so it is fun for them. Our boxer, who has passed away, used to get excited when the suitcases came out because she knew she was going Critter Nanny and would get to play with new dogs.

We used Critter Nanny for many years and found them outstanding in every way. Our little dog, Daisy, spent many vacations there. We ❤️ Critter Nanny! We ran into a situation where we couldn’t take our pups with us on vacation and forced with the decision to board them. From Facebook reviews, we decided to give Critter Nanny a chance and are extremely happy with our decision. I had this anxious feeling during our entire stay, never had boarded our dogs before and was SO excited to pick them up and expected them to share in this excitement, apparently I was the only one because they loved their stay SO much they didn’t want to come back to boring old home. They are currently passed out, so exhausted from their week of fun that they could care less that they are back with their actual family, probably dreaming of all the play they had, wishing they were back at Critter Nanny’s! This family owned business has my support, if ever we are in need again... We may just find that the next time we need a vacation we will be thinking of our next no doggies allowed destination just so they can their vacation too!

My husband, myself and our pup just moved to the SE area and we were stressing on finding a doggy daycare. We both work all day and didn’t want our pup to be home alone; he has a lot of anxiety & especially separation anxiety. We found Mary Ellen’s daycare and immediately she sounded like a good fit. We’ve been taking our pup to her for about a month now and it’s been going great! We were really concerned that his anxiety would be an issue and that maybe it’d be a bit much for Mary Ellen, but she quickly dispelled those fears. She’s been working with our pup and helping him adjust to the new routine and has been incredibly kind and patient. We’re so grateful to have found Mary Ellen ☺️☺️☺️
We LOVE Wag Along! Our pup has been going there for a while for daycare and comes home happy and exhausted. We've also boarded her there and had a great experience. Mary Ellen is knowledgeable, flexible and reliable, and it is such a great spot for our pup to spend some time each week! Our girl can be a little nervous to leave us (she grew up during pandemic stay-home orders), but warmed right up to going! I know how much she loves it by her excitement when we pull in for drop off & at the end of the day, she usually doesn't want to leave! We consider Wag Along her second family and highly recommend them for boarding or daycare :)
I feel grateful to have found this day care/boarding location for my pup! I’ve brought my pup there for day care and I’ve boarded her for as long as 5 days. My dog always leaves happy and tired from playing with all the other wonderful dogs. I trust that Mary Ellen keeps a watchful eye over all of the dogs while they are under her care. Mary Ellen is excellent at communicating with me and I feel 100% comfortable leaving my puppy there. I would highly recommend!
Mary Ellen is the best. We always leave our dog with her when we're away and have been doing so since 2016. As soon as we pull up outside her house, she starts whimpering to get out and join her friends. Mary Ellen has two dogs of her own, Margaux and Rou, both wonderful golden retrievers who our dog adores. They're kind of like benevolent older siblings to her. I often think our dog has a better time than we do — home away from home!
I took my anxious 1 year old puppy to Wag Along to try to help with her separation anxiety and socialization. Mary Ellen took extra good care of her and within a few weeks Bootsy was more confident and well behaved and she loves going to see Mary Ellen and to play with the other dogs. I appreciate how very easy drop off and pick up is, and that my pup is still clean at the end of the day. Mary Ellen is kind, responsible and the price is right.
We’ve taken our energetic 1.5 year old heeler Sylvie here since the beginning of the year, been a very positive experience. Space-wise it’s essentially a house & yard, rather than the typical warehouse type areas of other doggy daycares. We appreciate the fact that the owner, Mary Ellen, has been doing this a long time and is very hands-on – it’s good to know our pup’s with someone experienced & who really cares about both the animals & how things are run. She’s flexible and the whole process has been super easy. Price is pretty standard. Our dog is fairly high strung and at first she had a lot of anxiety about being left there. But after a little while she got over it, now it’s fun to watch her excitedly run to Mary Ellen & all her doggy friends in the morning. I think the daycare has actually helped out her maturation process. Mary Ellen sends video clips and/or photos during the day showing them playing & lounging around, which is fun for a doting dog parent like me. The pup comes home happy & tired. We just do part-time right now - to socialize Sylvie & keep her company while the humans work, also to create a familiarity in case we ever have to board her there sometime for travel. Highly recommended.
We love having our Sully with Mary Ellen. We never worry about him when he’s there. We use daycare and board with her when we are out of town. He is always excited to see her and she takes such good care of the pups in her care. Recommend her 110%.
Mary Ellen takes such good care of my baby, I never worry at all when she’s there. My dog was super timid before she started going about a year ago and now she’s so happy to go see her friends each time. Mary Ellen watches a nice variety of sizes and breeds, so she’s exposed to all kinds of dogs, which is helpful for the real world. I literally don’t know what I would do without her. We love Wag Along!
Mary Ellen is amazing, I’ve been trusting her with my dog for a while now. I recently used her for boarding, and she went above and beyond when taking care of my dog. I had to drop off my dog right after being injured and Marry Ellen took her with out hesitating. She gave her her meds and cared for her like I would have. She even sent me frequent updates and pictures to help ease my anxiety. I truly don’t think you will find a more caring pet sitter in the Portland area!
This is an amazing place to take your dog to play and have fun with other dogs. We have taken our dogs here for daytime fun and for boarding while gone on a family trip. Everyday they post videos of the dogs playing and having fun on their Facebook page. Found out about Playfur Lots through Facebook and so glad we came across them! We have left our big dog Hank here a few times while we have taken week long vacations. We love to see the videos and pictures of the dogs playing while we are away, it makes us feel good knowing our dog is in good hands and also having fun! I recommend them as much as I can and will continue to be a customer for years to come.
We call it dog camp - our labs (a puppy and a senior dog) love the play and swimming. They come home exhausted and happy (and very well cared for - the regular Facebook videos are much appreciated).

This place is the best and our pups love going there. Shane is so attentive and responsive to both the pups and the parents! The rest of the staff are all amazingly great too. They are all so welcoming and make you feel like family. They have so much room to play, a pond, and videos all throughout the days to see how everyone is doing. We love the videos! It means everything to know our pups are well cared for and having so much fun while there.
We LOVE Playfurlots so much. My pup Lola takes advantage of day camp as well as boarding. She absolutely loves Shane and playing with all her doggy friends. She goes for walks, plays in the pond, runs around with her buddies and just has a great time. Shane has a.beautiful knack with the dogs and we couldn’t be happier.
This is the ONLY I trust to take care of my pups while I'm away. They're just as excited for my vacation time as I am because they get to come roam around and be a dog! 10/10 establishment.
Glad I found this place! It’s perfect for my Dog Monty, who loves swimming, being in nature and playing with other dogs. Shane is great. It was my dogs first time being away from me and he struggled at first, but Shane was patient and gave my boy personal attention so he eventually got comfortable being there. Monty’s got a second dad now and next time I vacation, I know Monty will be excited to see him and stay there. Thank you Shane!
Playfurlots is the only place I leave my boys overnight. I know they're safe and well cared for. One of my boys is a picky eater while he's there, and Shane goes the extra mile to make sure he eats. He also posts videos throughout the day so I can see the boys play, which is awesome. I can't play the videos with the sound on if the boys can hear it. They run around and start looking for their friend, Shane. :)
My grand puppy Jax has been going here for a long time, and it’s awesome!!! The grounds are wonderful, so much to do for all the pups!! Shane is wonderful, great communication and easy drop off and pick up!! As soon as my Ruby is old enough she’ll get to go play with her fur-riends!! Highly recommend!!

Randi is the absolute best! I moved here from Florida last year and I was hesitant to board my two Goldendoodles anywhere. We found Randi and she has been amazing and a lifesaver. I can travel and I never have to worry about my girls, because they are well taken care of at Randi’s. I also love that she sends me photos of them running free in her yard while I’m away, or resting on the couch :-) I would recommend her to anyone looking for quality pet care in a warm and inviting home environment.

I impulsively brought home a rescue dog. I needed to go to work the next day. Randi was my rescue. She helped my pup and I settle in to a routine. Fast forward 3 years and another rescue dog. Randi remains flexible and supportive through it all. My dogs and cat look forward to her visits/walks.

It is understandable sense my dog has been training through severe separation anxiety for a couple months after his previous owners kenneled him until he was 5 months. He's a quick study and the man that lead him into his dog daycare was the 1st my dog has ever gone with without pulling and the man saw that he was better the next day. Phew! I recommend this place. Check out the savings on the buying options. The price is right. Also feels like a good and happy neighborhood dog daycare. My dog came back tired and ready to eat. They have great prices on meals but I just feed him so he has a routine.
My beloved, healthy mini schnauzer DIED in their care from horrific injuries. Your dog is not safe with them. I trusted them with my sweet little pup and he never came back home.
I called to speak with someone about boarding my dog and they were so rude! I said, "Happy Friday! How are you?" To which they scoffed and replied, "What do you need?" I said I was thinking of boarding my dog, but not when they spoke to me like that. The person laughed and said, "That's fine." And hung up. if this is how they treat the humans, I worry how they treat the animals. No thanks.
This place is awesome!!! My dogs love coming here, and they are always so tired when I pick them up, which is great because a lot of the time during the work week, I do not have time to play with them. Cheaper than any other place in the PDX area as they have package deals for weeks/months. More days you buy, cheaper it is overall. Pickup/drop off process is quick and efficient. The sweet lady that works here is a hoot and always making me laugh. Thank you, Safe Journey!
I just gotta say, I absolutely love this place! The staff and environment are incredibly friendly and welcoming. my two rotties always have such a good time there. I know my boys can be difficult at times, but they are very patient with them and they always come home happy and healthy wiggle butts! <3

I have nothing negative to say about them. Only thing is that i wish they were closer to Troutdale. I absolutely love bringing my dog here. He always comes home very very tired. You can tell that the staff here is very knowledgeable about what they're doing as well. I drop him off before work or a trip and i leave with a peace of mind. i appreciate how they try to accommodate my schedule as well. I also love how they don't kennel their dogs. My dog has terrible separation anxiety and a kennel would not be a good time for him. I really appreciate this business, and the staff that can make it all happen. I will be recommending them to anyone who needs a great doggy day care.
This place holds one of the worst experiences I have ever had. This happened 1 year ago. I took my sweet old pup there for a few day care trials in anticipation of a potential 10 day stay. He seemed to liked it so I went ahead and book his long stay. Conin was at Safe Journey a total of 5 days and he died. They emailed me while I was abroad to tell me my dog had not eaten in 3 days and that he was in poor health. 3 days! I immediately had a family friend go pick him up and 24 hours later he was dead. Not only this has been dramatic and absolutely devastating, but I also had to deal with the complete and utter lack of responsibility Safe Journey decided to take regarding this after I arrived back in the US. I received long emails from them with just excuses. I strongly believed that my dog was left in isolation, not fed and not cared for at all. He was so dehydrated when my friend picked him up, that even after 24 in intensive care they could not revive him. This place is extremely dodgy, they thrive themself as specialized in "difficult dogs", and so i trusted these people with my 15 year old mutt. He was a healthy old pup, and within 5 days he became ill and died. They took no responsibility, they did not offer to reimburse me for the days he did not spend in there, there was zero care, only a bunch of excuses. The recent number of horrible review have encouraged me to speak up. At the time, I reported them to the better business bureau. I strongly encourage you to do the same if you had a poor experience there. Below is a photo of Conin on August 24th (the day I dropped him off) and the photo of him 6 days after. Bless him.
We love Safe Journey so much! Craig and the team care so much about our pup and make sure he’s having a good time- whether he feels like relaxing alone or playing with others. My dogs love this place! Kennels can be anxiety inducing, especially for resuce dogs. At Safe Journey, they get to socialize freely, making it more natural for all the dogs. In addition to our dogs being happy, they have very flexible availability and fair pricing, a must for last-minute travelers like myself.
Kathryn has taken care of my cat Gibson on two separate occasions. She has come twice a day to administer medications and feed him. She always sends pictures and videos so I can see he is happy and well cared for. It is wonderful to have someone who I can trust and count on.

I have known Kathryn for over 10 years. She took care of my two westies -- and was wonderful with them. She has a passion for pets and was so good with them.
