We had a lovely Housesit looking after Spot, Duo, Puck and Petra. Spot, the dog is really sweet and great fun. She loved being petted and lying beside us on the couch. Duo is a very friendly 16 year old cat who was very entertaining. Puck is a very independant, beautiful cat and disappeared on her own for most of the day. Petra the turtle is easy to mind. Maureen was very welcoming and made us feel at home right away. She has a lovely home. It's very comfortable and well looked after. There's loads of things to discover in the garden. It's wonderful in the sunshine. We enjoyed the Housesit a lot.
We were so lucky to have the chance to meet Jackie and Bruce and to spend a week in such a beautiful setting with the animals. The boys loved taking care of the 5 dogs and 2 cats, and we had the pleasure of 2 adorable puppies. The dogs have such unique personalities and love to play and be outside. The dogs were gentle with children, and I would highly recommend this housesit for families with children. Jackie and Bruce were very generous to arrange for us to come the day before to meet them and the pets and to teach us the routine. They kindly arranged for us to stay in one of the gites. We had excellent communication throughout our stay. We left with many memories of walks around the lake with the dogs and miss them already! We hope to have the chance to return again one day.
Havoc is a loving, loyal hound with bags of energy and together we enjoyed fantastic walks that lead from the house onto a private track that directly connects with the South West Coast Path. Havoc is great off the lead and although he likes to run ahead to explore a little his recall to the whistle is excellent and he always returns at breakneck speed. Julian and Janie are an interesting, adventurous, fun loving couple with a real lust for life and their large Georgian home is a treasure trove of artefacts collected from their extensive travels to far flung parts of the world. With so many unusual artworks, furniture and books it’s almost like a museum of adventure as you wander from one fascinating room to another throughout the house. Set in stunning grounds with large trees bordering the property and many different areas for Havoc to roam, we particularly enjoyed sitting together in the private meadow enjoying the beautiful views and the sunsets. Although the weather was wild and windy during our visits, with Storm Ciaran passing through, we were still able to take Havoc on long coastal walks almost every day which were spectacular and elemental so thanks again for inviting us and we so look forward to returning.
Wow, another wonderful cat-sitting experience, which confirms that my decision to register with TrustedHousesitters was one of the best decisions, I have made in recent years! Zeus and Zefiro are some of the sweetest and funniest souls, I have ever sitted. They have both great characters and are extremely affectionate and cuddly, very communicative and really funny, and you feel in a minute, that they are very much loved by Costanza, and yes, me too, I immediately fall in love with them, and am already missing them terribly! Costanza is wonderful host. She is super friendly, welcoming and I felt at home from the first moment. Communication with her prior and during to the sit was unproblematic and she gave clear instructions on everything I could need during the sit. The 3 live in a very cozy flat with garden near to public transport in Kollwitzkiez (Prenzlauer Berg) - a wonderful and very popular neighborhood of Berlin - and supermarkets, shops, cafes, restaurants are at a stone's throw. If you work remotely, you can count on fast WiFi, and be assured you'll get plenty of help from 2 cuddly furry assistants. Thank you Costanza for entrusting me with your furries. Zeus and Zefiro are a delight to care for! If you want to take care of super sweet and funny cats in a cozy flat, don't hesitate to sit at Costanza's. I do highly recommend sitting these wonderful creatures, and I really hope to have myself the opportunity to sit them again in the future. Thanks again, Costanza, for this wonderful experience.
Rebecca and Jack are the absolutely loveliest people, and a pleasure to meet. I unfortunately got injured right before their sit, and when I arrived, they were so helpful and considerate. Elsa, Caramel, and Bobby are very well behaved and SO sweet. Rebecca and Jack could not have left a better welcome/instruction packet. Bobby required some medication (which he took like a champ!), and Caramel had a little scratch that we had to keep an eye on (thankfully it healed very nicely), and it was obviously very important that they were taken care of properly, which was easy to do with their instructions. So, if you'd like to meet some incredibly kind people and some truly adorable kitties, this is a wonderful sit, and I'd love to come back, if invited!!
