This was a terrific housesit at a beautiful home in a stunning setting. Nicola and David were incredibly warm and welcoming, and extremely organized -- everything was clearly explained and all of the instructions about how everything works were simple to follow. Their home is beautifully renovated, with a great kitchen and cozy sitting room -- and underfloor heating that works a treat. My bedroom was in the adjacent cottage with a wonderfully comfortable bed and big new bathroom with a great shower. And the house was super clean -- immaculate! The pool area is fantastic, gets lots of sun and has a wonderful covered area for outdoor dining. It's a very private location, with no neighbors in sight. But just a 2 minute drive to the medieval town of Duras, and only 20 minutes to Sainte Foy La Grande and 40 minutes to the wonderful market town of Issegeac -- well worth a visit for the Sunday market. This was one of my favorite housesits of the 60+ I've done on THS and other sites -- a housitter's dream gig. I can highly recommend it, though I want to keep it for myself!
Really enjoyed sitting with Oti & Basil, Basil loves to play and cuddle, whilst Oti entertains herself and enjoys attention when home, both easy cats to look after. What a beautiful home Vivien has in this wonderful recently refurbished cottage, very comfortable ! A short stroll to the waters edge with a selection of great cafes a pub and great harbour walks each way, also a choice of wonderful restaurants and pubs in the village. Wholeheartedly recommend .
We miss Kimi already! She is a dream dog, calm, affectionate and lovable, and we absolutely adored spending time with her. She was a bit skeptical of us at first, as she missed her family, but she gradually warmed to us. Throughout our week with Kimi, she was very well behaved, easy to deal with and great to play and cuddle with. Manu and Delphine were super friendly and helpful hosts. The house is great and spacious, with a lovely garden, and in a perfect location, close to Stanford and to shops and restaurants.
We spent three weeks with gorgeous Merlin. He was a very happy loveable dog. The house was situated very close to fields, which were great for long walks, which Merlin loved. Adam and Louise are lovely people who we only met briefly. Morrison’s was 5 minutes down the road which was great. A good sit.
