We met Amy, plus dogs and ducks on the morning of departure, everything was extremely well organised with clear instructions, involving several robots! We thoroughly enjoyed looking after this lovely family home and garden. Had great fun hitting balls for Asia and Lucca, feeding the gerbils and can now add duck herding to my list of skills ! Hope you get to meet Steve the gardener ! We would highly recommend this house sit for a truly relaxing stay in the countryside but with Norwich city on the doorstep, fabulous. Ros and Del
Five stars doesn't seem enough for this sit! Lara, Peter and Otto are such a welcoming, generous, warm, kind and interesting family. Communication was prompt and clear. Millie and Piper are utterly amazing. They are so loving, funny and very good company especially on walks. Millie is so friendly with other dogs, and if the other dog is not so keen to say hello, Millie just saunters on by. We had to keep Piper on a lead due to the healing of an old injury but she was equally content. Basil the cat is a true cat. Straight out of the cast of Cats. He honoured me by sleeping on my bed. Strangely needing 3/4's of the bed. The home is tranquil, unique, intriguing, comfortable ....full of style. A sit, when the sun is shining, would be wonderful if one had the use of the well kept, charming garden. We were not so lucky. Ludlow is a fabulous Georgian Town. Famous for its architectural, food shops and castle. Truly stunning. Markets are a minutes walk away, as are butchers and very yummy bakers. Ludlow is hilly so good knees would be a bonus I would not hesitate recommending Lara and family, animals, home and area. You will be very fortunate if selected.
Nicole and Ben left very detailed and helpful information about the housecare, dogs and cats which made it a super simple sit. The cats are super quiet and sweet. I was there for one day so there food was just left out and they ate whenever they wanted and their NASA inspired Kitty Litter box was self servicing. They have a nice backyard for the dogs for easy access to let the dogs do play outside or 'do their business'. They are a nice, safe neighborhood so walking the dogs is easy as well. Bailey is more 'energetic' on a walk and still easy to keep in order when outside on a leash. They have all the amenities in the house for a sitter's comfort. I couldn't recommend them more to do a sit with. You'll be very happy. Jonathan
This was such an enjoyable and lovely sit! Dianna is so friendly and was very easy to communicate with throughout the stay. Potito is absolutely adorable and will easily make your heart melt! It most certainly takes some time for him to warm up to you, but once he does he becomes the most affectionate cat I've ever met- and is now my personal favorite. :) Our days were spent relaxing inside and playing with his assortment of toys. Dianna has created a very peaceful and cozy home environment in an ideal part of Portland. You have a great deal of privacy yet you're still part of a friendly neighborhood with plenty to do. Her home is around plenty of shops, restaurants, and parks and only a 5-10 minute drive to downtown. I wish I could give more than 5 stars for how truly wonderful this sit was! I recommend this sit for anyone who wants to hang out with a very adorable cat in a beautiful and ideal location in the Pacific Northwest. Thanks again, Dianna! Everything was wonderful.
I found this to be a difficult sit. I was a little wary that perhaps Yilan and her partner were not entirely invested in the "trusted" part of the arrangement (one of the rooms in the small apartment was locked off) and that we did not have comparable expectations (it was an issue that I had something delivered during my six week stay). This made me somewhat anxious that fault would likely be found in some regard come the end of the sit. I was still surprised at the extent of their negative sentiment, however, as excepting one incident of Filipe peeing in his basket (which, not being repeated, I put down to separation anxiety) I experienced no problems with either cat nor had any indication that they were not entirely happy which, given that over the six weeks, I was out of their company for more than two hours on exactly one occasion, I feel I would have noticed had the contrary been the case. I would not go so far as to withold a recommendation for future sitters, but I would encourage a thorough and exacting discussion of expectations beforehand to avoid disappointment and frustration on one or both ends.
Princess and ChubChubs were great low maintenance company for my holiday stay at Lisa and Richard's lovely home in East Austin. A great spot to explore Austin from with public transport pretty much at the front door and plenty of good food, cafes and sights nearby to explore on foot. Lisa and Richard gave me a comprehensive introduction to the house, the Austin arts scene and left easy to follow instructions. Princess treated me with affection when she wasn't soaking up the sunlight and snoozing while ChubChubs was always happy to hangout on the sun porch and let me know when a scratch or tummy rub was wanted. Thanks for having me to stay!
