“Trust housesitter” doesn’t come close to describing Samantha(Sam). She cared for our dog Saffron, our house, and our yard as her own. She even provided a yummy dinner the night we returned. “Perfect” says it all! She “checked in” regularly with cute pictures and comments, giving us great peace of mind. We and Saffy were sad to see her go.

I got to meet Diane before her stay, and she couldn't have had a nicer more pleasant personality. I know our pup got a ton of attention and was completely spoiled by her. Her communication and pictures while we were away was also super helpful. We would be thrilled to have her again!

I cannot speak more highly of Sonja who recently spent 2 weeks in our home caring for our 2 kitties. Sonja was truly one of the best pet/house sitters we have had (and we have had amazing experiences with almost 15 different sitters on this site!) She was extremely attentive, responsible, and communicative from the start. She was available for a phone conversation before our vacation, sent communication throughout the time we were gone, and most importantly, took incredible care of our cats and home. The cats were clearly well attended to. And I was so pleased to come back to a home that was sparkling clean. Sonja truly went out of her way to treat our space and animals with the utmost care. I highly recommend Sonja and would be delighted to have her back anytime!

If Ana happens to apply to any of your dates, confirm her sit as soon as possible! I know it's easier to just post 5 stars for sitters, but this one is truly legitimate. We lost one of our last two herd goats just before Ana came, leaving one very senior goat on his own. I went back and forth between traveling and canceling to stay with him and figure out his best options. The trip was critical to make and with Ana's assurances, I left for two weeks. My little had the best companionship, the best care, very attentive eyes on him, and was never alone for too long, helping him to adjust to his new normal. This platform is great for people to travel and visit new places; however, animal care often comes in second for the explorer as they enjoy their new surroundings. Ana found the way to enjoy time for herself yet keep animal care as her priority. My senior pup loved having Ana's little senior pup, Peanut, in the house. When I come home from traveling, I can tell in an instant if my animals were satisfied with their care, and these two were happy little campers! Sadly, our summers include wicked wildfires. We had one break out within 2 miles of the house--on the day I was traveling coast to coast. When I landed and spoke with Ana, thankfully the fire was under control and evacuation was not required; however, she already had contacts established for transport for my goat and she had the car packed with all she would need for their care should evacuation been necessary. Having a wildfire that close to your home is completely unnerving, especially when you are not home. It took some time for me to settle my nerves but it was NOT because I lacked confidence in Ana. Her communication was fantastic. Again, explorers often say they will send updates daily or send photos and then they go MIA periodically. Ana sent me daily updates, as I had requested, and sent photos. I could tell by their energy in the photos that all was well. We really didn't know how my senior goat would do on his own and with someone new. Ana and Pippin quickly became tender friends and he felt safe with her. Pinkie pup loved all of the attention she got. This is a long review but it is important for me to write it. We all put a lot of trust in the person coming in to our homes and caring for our littles while we are away. On some level, we have to surrender and trust all will be well upon our return. This is the first time I can say that I could focus on the difficult task that requires me to travel and not have a constant worry running in the background. Personally, it has been lovely getting to know Ana. She is a very kind, compassionate, and generous person. She has keen eyes when it comes to all the details and the sweet care we hope to receive for our littles. And we really really hope she wants to come back for another visit!

Where to begin- Alex exceeded our expectations! She is a natural with dogs and bonded with Ruby right away. Alex sent regular updates and pictures which I really appreciated. She left our house clean and our dog happy. All you want in a sitter! I highly recommend Alex.

Sara and Jeff were beyond terrific! My dogs were totally loved and pampered while we were away for 26 days. House looked well kept as was my garden. Wonderful house sitters!

Halie and Justin were fantastic housesitters! They flew in for a week long sit and took excellent care of our two cats, fish and home. They were good communicators leading up to the sit dates, provided enough updates during our time away, and left the house clean. We would highly recommend Halie and Justin for anyone looking for low key, responsible sitters.

It was a pleasure to have Nancie come and sit with our kitties for two weeks. There was great communication, she sent us pictures of happy kitties, and she left the place immaculate. We would welcome her back anytime and highly recommend her,

When originally committing to the pet sit, both Julia and Pete planned to spend the time in Toronto. A few days before the sit was to start, Julia informed us she would be coming alone as they had a family emergency. We were grateful that despite their own personally family circumstances, they did not cancel last minute. Throughout the trip, Julia sent us a daily update as we had requested. She let us know the cats were fed, litter box cleaned and provided a pic of them sleeping or eating. Just before we left, I noticed signs that one of the kitties might be getting an eye infection. As suspected, this was the case. Julia gave kitty eye drops twice a day and the infection had resolved by the time we got back home. On our return, we had a flight delay. Julia (& Pete, who joined her part way through the sit) offered to stay longer if needed. We appreciated the offer, though it was not needed. When we returned the condo was as we left it, with very little evidence that they had been there. It was nice to return home to a clean condo and happy kitties.

Eden was a great house sitter/pet sitter! She seemed to genuinely care about my two cats and put effort into building a relationship with them. I appreciated all the love and play and care she gave to Rumi and MaryOliver. And I was grateful that they accepted her and felt safe to get pets/attention from her. Eden also agreed to keep my rather large gardens watered and tended. Nice job! She also took initiative to stake up some of the taller plants and to clean up leaves that were falling from the neighbors tree. Eden was good at following clear directions, when I wrote out the instructions. And she left the house tidy and in order. (Including washing the sheets from her bed and towels.). Eden is a friendly, caring, willing, good person and I'm happy that I got to meet her. I hope in the future that she will return for another house/pet sit. Thanks again Eden!

Allison and Andrew were great! She made sure the pups take care of and the peace of mind was priceless! She sent pics and checked is as needed and appeared to really care about my pups. Thanks again Allison!
