Jane is not a recommended petsitter if you have cats or if you want the house to be treated properly when you are away. 1) When she arrived the day before our departure, she didn’t show any interest in the cats, I had to suggest her several times to interact with the kitties in order to make sure the cats were used to her smell. 2) She acted in a superior attitude when I was giving instructions about how to feed the cats or understand their routines. 3) Since the moment we posted the sit offer, we were clear about the simple tasks: feed the cats 3 times a day, play with them, brush them, keep the house safe and clean, inform twice a day about what the cats ate with photos and videos. Her level of communication was minimum by whatsapp. Example of messages “Nala has not appeared yet this morning”, “not much to report”, “everyone has eaten well”, “all well fed”, “too busy feeding, taking pictures and answering your texts” 4) When we arrived the house was dirty (her bathroom had not been cleaned at all, she had not vacuumed nor mopped the floor, the kitchen was sticky) the basic rules of the house were cleaning the floor, kitchen (to avoid ants) and I specified the products to clean bathroom/toilet before leaving. The minimum ALL petsitters had done in the past before leaving were cleaning the basic areas. 5) Two windows were unlocked, when safety issues were explained as a main concern. The biggest window with access from the street was not locked with the screw (anyone could have entered the house) and the window of the guest room was not locked with the handle 6) She never sent a message after leaving the house making sure everything was ok and telling us if the cats were ok. Conclusion: We could clearly see she doesn’t like animals, especially cats, she came just to have a free place to visit the area (which is a very touristic place, mainly this time of the year, when the accommodations are really expensive), she had a bossy attitude and was clearly annoyed by our explanations of how to take care of the cats and house, her communication was not fluid (I had to send a message asking her how were the cats almost every day in order to get feedback), she was a person that clearly did not care about the basic level of cleaning. The only thing she did was feeding the cats at least once a day. When we arrived the cats were really hungry.

Thanks for a wonderful stay in sunny Brisbane with two amazing dogs. Charlie and Maggie will steal your heart. They are energetic, caring and just plain cool canines.
Really appreciated the opportunity to stay in your wonderful home. Wonderful location for exploring and nearby walks for the pups. A+++

This was my first Housesit for Louisa and her three lovely cats in a beautiful part of West Sussex. I was invited to arrive the night before to meet the cats who were lovely and apart from the rather aloof Molly took to me straightaway. Molly came round in the end of course. We went out for a meal at the local pub The Holly tree which is highly recomended the night I arrived. I was offered the use of Louisa studio to WFH from but set myself up on the dining room table. Internet was good and fast making work possible without an issue. The cats were lovely and easy to look after and the feeding regime was simple to understand having been given precise written instructions. The cottage was really comfortable and my room at the top of house had a great double bed and luxury cotton bedding. On one day I had to go to London for a couple of meetings which was dead easy with Barnham station just a couple of miles away. Overall a really great sit and would love to come back and do some more walking on the South Downs which I didn’t do enough of.
Thanks so much for your hospitality Louisa, Molly, Macy and Murphy. X

We couldn’t have been happier with our housesit in Tlaquepaque. Eunice and Ric (Luis) are wonderful people with big hearts who we quickly became friends with. They took out for beers on our first night, introduced us to the neighborhood and gave us good instructions on how to handle the daughters. Great communication.

And Kiara and Katzie, what’s not to love?! These kitties, who we all affectionately call “las hijas”—are wonderful complements of each other...playful, talkative, easy to get to know, and affectionate once they warm up to you. We miss them so much.

As for the location, it’s in a secure and safe gated community, fully accessible to downtown Guadalajara by bus/metro (which is 9.5 pesos a ride) and Uber is also widely used. You are in walking distance to a number of small markets, restaurants, an Oxxo and a larger supermarket.

We highly recommend all of them and this sit! Would love to return one day :)

Alison
This was a lovely last minute sit that I thoroughly enjoyed. A delightful spacious home, in extensive grounds with two very friendly, well behaved dogs for company. Alison and her family made me extremely welcome, cooking me a lovely meal that I enjoyed with the whole family, prior to their early morning departure the next day.
It is in the perfect location, close to Constable country and also the coast, making it an ideal area to explore.
I would not hesitate to recommend this sit: very homely, with open log fires adding to the very cosy atmosphere. Thank you for inviting me into your home. I loved it.

What a wonderful, lovely, perfect sit! Connie is just so delightful and genuine. It’s been so good getting to know her. We have definitely met a new friend. Henry, the star of the sit, is such a gentleman. He’s incredibly sweet and well behaved. He’s very easy to take care of. Connie’s home is clean, well maintained and very comfortable. Her guest room and bathroom are great… and the mattress is to die for! It’s a king size. Henry slept with my husband and I and there was plenty of room. Henry is not a bed hog.
There are hiking trails only a short walk from the house that were great to explore and there is a large network of bike trails that go all over. Snow Canyon was just a short drive away and a fun and beautiful area. Grocery stores are plentiful and easy to get to. We highly recommend this sit!

Lynne
Lovely couple. Beautiful home. Adorable cats. Really nice place to visit. We really enjoyed our sit with Lynne and Scott, taking care of their kitties Cinderella and Lily. They are both organized and easy to work with in the preparation stages as well as getting us settled for the sit. Communication was easy and great while we were there with prompt reply to any questions or concerns. Would highly recommend a sit with these folks, they are kind and considerate hosts. We would love to return some day and take care of Cinderella and Lily again. Thanks for a great experience.
